Unfortunately now with jellybean replacing motgallery2.apk with stock gallery apk (renaming it and setting permissions) results in gallery force closing. So we're back again not being able to view Picasa / google+ photos in the gallery app. Can anyone look into it? I would greatly appreciate it.

Doesn't work. Thinking that the gallery apk is for ICS. I tried a couple of different ways . It doesn't work on jellybean.
Worked perfectly on ics
Did you try replacing the stock app or just installing the second gallery. I kept both and both work fine with jb.
Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Tapatalk 2
It works. Simply put googlegallery.apk in system/app folder and reboot. Then you'll see both gallery apps in the app drawer. You don't need to replace the Motorola app. Just disable it and system will use Google's gallery app just fine.

Feeling down about not being able to stream Netflix while on Apex?
Cheer up! There is a fix.
1. Download this file: build.prop
2. Place file on the root of your SD card
3. Using a root explorer app such as ES File Explorer, long press on the file and copy it
4. Navigate to the /system/ folder
5. Paste the file - You must replace the old build.prop
6. Reboot
7. Download the DX Netflix.apk: Netflix for the Droid X (the normal netflix.apk will not work)
8. Enjoy

Found a solution to running Netflix on Apex 2.0.0 beta and Liberty 0.5 (GB 591) without having to modify the build.prop or use a modded APK for DroidX and Droid2 also I think. I'm not going to link to another forum but a quick google search for
netflix apex 2.0.0 beta
ought to point you in the right direction.
Fixed me right up.

I'm not sure anyone can do this without root. I can look into the file manager for you, but I don't think I can pull anything out of system without root.

You install the adb application on the computer. The adb service will be running on the android device automatically. If the android device is not rooted, when you run the adb application on your computer, you will connect as the shell user account which is allowed to read the /system partition. You might have to play with some drivers or adb_usb.ini to get the adb application to recognize the android device. In this case, my Mac recognize the device after I checked usb debugging.

to install the razr m launcher do i have to do something special? or it is just like downloading the file th internal memory or sd card, and then install it from there as a normal app? or im wrong? and if i install the apk for the razr m launcher, and then i want to go back to normal launcher of razr xt910, which would be the best way to do it?
My goodness, this launcher is awesomely fast, I'm stunned on my GNex.... I've previously tried the Atrix HD launcher, but it was worst, very laggy... But, this is just superb... I now install the widget launcher and apply the CM10 Motorola theme, and it should look similar to moto... FTW... Thanks for sharing...

Using a root file explorer, go to system/app/, mount as r/w, and copy that gallery apk to the directory. Set permissions to be the same as the other apk's in the directory. Reboot.

Depends on the file explorer. Usually, long press the apk after copying it, select permissions or similar. They'll need to be set as rw-r--r--.
Searching the cm thread just yielded great results for me by the way.

You cant move an odex file from one device to another device that is a different build. Someone needs to de-odex for you.
