I have a keyboard case that worked with my NookColor with CM7 and Nook Tweaks. Is there anyway to get this functionality back on the latest Jellybean build?

I am new to ROM's and love rubiX Focused. My only gripe is the keyboard buttons are a bit too small. Is there anyway to use a different keyboard from a different ROM? Or any other advice would be appreciated.
There are a bunch of other keyboards you can download off the market.

Im looking to put the multitouch keyboard on rubix but cant seem to do it. Is it possible

Better keyboard, swift keyboard and smart keyboard pro all do multi touch, just search for multi touch keyboard and take your pick. I don't use Rubicon but they should work on any rom using android 2.2 it higher.
Edit: rubix not Rubicon (damn auto correct)

I used the Liberty toolbox (app management > Install add-ons) to change keyboards. I think there is a blur keyboard on there

That's what I use but I thought it only works with the liberty rom. I could be wrong, I haven't tried it with any other roms.

Ya I thought that the liberty toolbox only worked with the liberty rom but. I really like the droid x keyboard. If someone has used the tool box to add that keyboard I would love to know about it.

Haven't seen it mentioned so thought id share.
JuiceDefender dev has fixed AOSP Helper compatibility in 2.3.7 (re: cm7) so the advanced stuff from Ultimate works now.
Its in the beta apk, not the stable. Haven't tested everything, but confirm auto background data toggling works (cm7 weekly 3/4 & nightly 20).

Does it require the UI to be changed to tablet UI? or will it work with the normal DPI and stuff?
Thanks.

It works as is, although there's a few things not working, not sure if that's because of non tablet UI or app itself

If I extract the keyboard from a ROM, can I use it on my n7? I prefer the layout of stock phone keyboard over tablet but I'm loving swipe and don't want to give it up!
P.s. yes I'm rooted so I would just push it to the right place, just making sure it would be compatible

I'm pretty sure the 4.2 keyboard was ported to 4.1 already.

That's not my problem, I'm on 4.2, but I prefer the phone's keyboard layout over the tablet's keyboard layout, and someone made a keyboard for the N7 with phone layout, but I'm wondering if this works too

You should check the nexus 7 forum.

Whenever I use USB host through nook tweaks on cm7.2, i'll go to disable it. After I'm done with it, I turn off my nook and I leave it for 5 minutes. When I go try to turn it on, I get a SOD. I'm hosting through a powered USB hub. Can anyone help me fix this? Its annoying using my USB keyboard and getting a sod all the time.

Look in dalingrin's nook tweak thread. You may find some answers there.
