Hello,
I'm using the SD version of American Android and I'm very satisfyed with it, but i would like to try this ROM in NativeSD as it seems to bee much faster. Has anybody try to port this ROM to NativeSD?
I really think that this is the best GB SD ROM (at least for me).

AcA fastest and stable build ever.
Go go go
After testing almost all the nSD roms, my conclusion is that there is no rom as stable as ACA. Yes, there are fast roms with a lot of features, but I am thinking on going back to ACA SD.

@Robbie P, regarding your comment in the thread [30 OCT 2012][DEV]NativeSD Rom Boot Script for HD2:
"Even using c1cl0n's excellent guide ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...0#post31925620 ), that build is tricky to convert since it uses rootfs.img
Also AFAIK any 35 kernels won't work with haret. And they won't work with nativeSD+magldr either, unless you use marco.palumbi/securecrt method to edit the NAND version of initrd.gz (could use HypoTurtle's patcher here http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1953428 )
Interestingly I noticed a script in aca rom which added a delay to wait for card to mount."
(sorry I can't post in that thread - still less than 10 posts)
Should we understand that the ACA nativeSD will not work with haret? It has a 35 kernel...
I don't want to quit WM 6.5 from nand...
Thanks!

Hi aotillia, well spotted and sorry for not keeping you and zyclone up to date.
With wis1152's help I have managed to port the last ACA nand build to nativeSD. However as you pointed out aca kernel does not work with haret (it works with magldr). But tytung's r16 works well for haret (haven't tried dx7.3 yet, but should work)
Unfortunately, I have been waiting for a response from warrenb213 and copenhagen to my PM asking permission to post it.
Will post it when permissions are forthcoming.

It seems that more people are asking for a NativeSD build in the SD thread. Let´s hope that this will convince the ACA team to permit Robbie P to realese the nSD version, or to release themsealves a nSD version (although i think that warrenb has to change his kernel to make it compatible). Untill that happen, I will use the perfect clasic SD version. Thanks ACA!

Dear all,
as I wrote on this other post (excuse me for crossposting - please mods to close the wrong-placed one):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?goto=newpost&t=384850
there are two guys that recompiled Android for ARMv4 processor - like ARM920T, the trinity processor!!
Here you have the links:
http://benno.id.au/blog/
http://perpetual-notion.blogspot.com/2008/10/android-freerunnder-updates.html
They are working on the Freerunner and Neo1973 devices.. but the processor is the same..
Anyone out there wants Android on our beloved trinity?
At the moment I have no spare time (and skills) to take the challenge.. but I hope that someone will do.
I think that with the source code the CLZ and Thumb mode issues are completely addressed.
Anyone could confirm this to me?
Best regards,
s
Hi,
i'm also interested to see android on my htc hermes. i'm waiting benos new blog entries to see if he was able to run the code on "Neo1973".
What is the diference between htc hermes and htc dream (g1) regarding other chips beside the prcessor?
i don't think that drivers included in android can cover all chips in hermes. can someone maybe make an list of same and different devices(chips) in this 2 devices?
thanks
G phone?
So this is the same OS that the G phone is sporting yeah?
If The flashing process isn't harder than the current process then I'd be up for this. Also will it brick the phone?
Need some people to test.
Great Topic!

Since the openmoko is very like the p3600 I will give these patches a try. Let you know!
That would be awesome !
Please tel us your progression.
I'm waiting for a Android ROM for my Trinity ^_^
This is what we can try. The openmoke images are out. Since the openmoke is very like the p3600 we could give these images a try. The images are located over here.

We need haret for the images as well.

The thing we also need is to have a proper default.txt for haret. Who can help?
Hi piethein,
This will replace the rom we have installed in the trinity or is like an emulator running under wm ?
We dont loss any wm rom that we have installed ?
Dear all,
here you have some (bad) news:

at the link above you will find a thread I started in adroid-porting developers group.

shaice:
Dear all,
sorry to bother you with (probably) silly questions but..
I own a HTC trinity that use the same ARM920T processor of Freerunner.
I saw benno's and christopher's posts on their blogs...
Is there any chance that your binaries will run on other ARM920T
phones?
Thank you in advance for any answer.
Best regards,

uhmm reading somewhere in the group I found this post:

The shipping G1s have 192MB. Earlier development devices had 128MB,
and that wasn't quite enough to smoothly run the applications that
ship with the G1. Even if all the device's RAM could be allocated to
Android (no baseband, no framebuffer) 64MB would probably be very
tight, to the point where even foreground applications would risk
getting killed because of low memory conditions (the browser
especially comes to mind). In 32MB the system is likely to be
thrashing for memory even before it's done starting the system server
(if it can even start it at all).

....but forget about running exactly these images on your trinity units.
It won't work
I don't want to digg your hope but there's a lot to do to make it real.
First:
You'll need a kernel that suits to trinity and offer some features the android OS needs.
Second:
You'll have to modify the image in jffs2 format to get loaded on trinity or build up a tricky environment to mount these image files after booting the kernel.
Have fun!

Android on Trinity wanted!!
now that the full Android code is out it's possible!!
we can have Android on Trinity!!
please help... I cannot stand anymore WM!!
IMHO there is no enough memory to run smoothly android on trinity...
but stay tuned..
s
Dear all,
there is no hope for trinity users like us to see android running on our wonderful device.
As stated here:
http://groups.google.com/group/android-internals/browse_thread/thread/788c201e75ca7351
Android don't run on the ARM920T used in Neo1973.
In the following site
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ARM_architecture#ARM_cores there is a table
where are described all the ARM cpu.
Android framework is compiled for the ARMv5 architecture version, so run on
the all the processors that belong to this architecture version and also in
some cpu of the new architecture (ARMv6/v7).

yeah you are rite jumping to kernel and then dead
I've tried several versions and other like frojo
what is actually a kernel?
what kernel you advice me
if you tell me what can explain more about it than I understand myself
all fixed thanks
The kernel is the OS core that's making possible the OS to speak with the hardware. If you don't have the kernel complied for your hardware then the OS will not work with it. It's like an translator between your OS and the Hardware
You can try downloading this and replacing the zImage and modules.

Hey man it's super simple to make it work
This are the basic steps :
1. Upgrade to a radio version bigger then 2.08 because it will not boot with a lower version.
2. Load a custom ROM on your HTC HD2 ( i use chuck rom's)
3. put the android folder on your SD card an IT WILL WORK.
THIS ARE THE TOPICS THAT YOU NEED TO MAKE IT WORD:
For radio and all info stuf ( [REF] ★★★The Definitve Guide To Android On HTC HD2 ★★★ [ UPDATED 28 / JULY / 2010 ] )
And for the chuck ROM ( [ROM][WWE][26.09.2010]ChuckyROM GTX + CHT 1.8.5 - 23138 ~ 3.14 *Comes with Kitchen* )

Patched Kernel for TS freeze?
Hi,
This looks awesome, however, the only thing still annoying me on other excellent builds, are the TS freezes, which occur sometimes, even after calibration.
I understand that Hastarin's 8.2 was patched for testing the TS freezes.
is this kernel also patched to avoid them?
Sorry guys forgot to place the media file in Android folder if u already had the file just copy your other Android media file and paste it in the SE V 3.2 Android file reboot .. Good luck.

At the moment I am testing to run [Build][8.11.2010] NexusHD2-FRG83 V1.6 PPP + RMNET (Froyo2.2.1) Kernel: hastarin r8.1.
I am getting it running.... no problem about that... But I have one basic question and I do not know is it because of Image or ROM version or what...
But it seems that there is no option for different display settings if you are using it with battery or external power. I would like to keep display on when usin ext. power... Could somebody help me?
Also... Any kind of advices, tips&tricks would be nice and also suggestions from nice android ROM where every feature is working....(camera & so on...)
It may be in settings - applications - development, not sure your build has this feature though...

It should do, as far as I can remember it was in the same place in my ShubCraft build, and it is in MCCM SE 3.3 as well so I think that's a good call.
It's a feature in CM-based roms. Shubcraft definitely is, don't know MCCM but the 'CM' at the end gives me a pretty good idea..
MCCM is the builder, he's named this one after himself, and it's a sense build (actually it's an MDJ build he's modified)
Hi All,
I had upgraded HD2 from WM to Android 2.2, however it's unstable lately (rebooted occasionally).
I'd like to know:
1) how and which version I can upgrade to?
2) Is 2.3 more stable than 4.0 now?
Thx a lot.

Don't mess around and flash this one because HPD6 is the best one at the moment:
