So basically, all i want to do is stream my mkv's to my windows 8 tablet.
Would be awesome if there was a plex client in development for the store. I did try an app called media8? But has limited file/codec support (but did detect my plex media server).
Anyone have any suggestions?

I just bought a movie from the samsung media hub and transfered it to my computer. I know I am able to watch it on my tab, but I was wondering if anyone here has heard of a program that can play a pyv file so I can watch it on my computer and possibly also on my tv.
Thanks

If vlc doesn't play it then your probably out of luck...

I tried vlc player and even that doesn't work. Apparently the built in video app on the tab works though...
Is there any way we could stream content to a TV using dlna or something like it?

There are dlnA apps in the market that will work. Just search for dlna in the play store.

Just to clarify, cause I'd really like to be able to use the NQ to stream media from my NAS; here's the scenario
If I was playing an MKV file using Dice Player (which is streaming it from my NAS via SMB) on my Galaxy Nexus, I can have the Galaxy Nexus communicate with the NQ to have it displayed on my TV?
Any help with this is greatly aprpeciated

I spent some of the $25 google gave me on some play store stuff including, plex, bubbleUpnp, and already had imediashare. For rendering i've got n7, galaxy nexus and an un55d7050 tv. Media players include vlc, mx player, and weeded out a couple that I didn't have much luck with.
What works best for me, the easiest, and least amount of dicking around is a combination of MX Player and BubbleUpnp. I'm streaming from an NAS on my home lan and everythig else is visible on the lan.
To make this work you'll have to screw around with handbreak (or at least I had to) to figure out what codec works best depending on what your streaming and to which renderer.
Good Luck!
Edit/ Twonky Media Server works really good as well, installed to my NAS......Yup, everything these days is pretty much dlna capable.
Does anyone know if Qloud Media (there is a free version as well) works with the Ouya? I can't find any information regarding this and I would like to have an Ouya for use as a media center
Ouya community is dead, shame

I'm trying to wirelessly mirror xbmc from my revue 8 to my tv via this actiontec. Problem is the audio only comes from the revue, not the tv. Audio works with the other apps like Windows media player, Xbox music etc though
Has anyone had success getting the revue to push audio to the tv while using xbmc?
