I am going to be building CM10 Experimental for the GT-i9100 Basically Every Night!
The CM team is busy creating CM10 and therefore they cant build the ROM often.
So i will build the ROM for all you Flash-Aholics :good:
This ROM is Pure CM10 and i do NOT do anything but compile it and upload it.
The ROM will be avalible about 6pm (i live in western australia)
Also this is my first actual Thingy so dont get mad at me plz
Sadly the CM Team Hasnt Put GT-i9100 into There CM10 Device Tree
Note if you would like a live update (a tweet) from me when the ROM is ready just tweet this to me "CM10" @androidjos .

I don't mean to s.h.i.t. on your parade brother but what does compiling something that someone else made have anything to do with original android development? I mean, I admit you're doing a great service for people who are unable to compile CM10 themselves but all you have to do is wait a day or two for TeamHacksung to make a few changes then repo sync and then compile. This should be in general discussion at the very least.

You should add "unofficial" to the thread title. It's currently a bit misleading if you ask me.
Plus, you should ask a mod to move this to the "Android development" section.
This morning I tried Cyanogenmod10 (v4.1.1) in my sgs2 and given me some poor results:
Total 4150 vs. 5880 AnTuTu of I9100XXLQB
and 2420 vs. 3750 Quafrant of I9100XXLQB.
So far I have not seen any problems other than that I see very slow the JB and drains much battery.
I wait for a more successful version.
Out of curiosity, do you think you could do builds with the Linaro toolchain? Would be different from the other builds.

Its a "preview" with a bad GPU HW acceleration.

I won't really test these, first because he is really like a noob (no offence in any kind) as I remembered so much spamming question in Jelly Bean threads before CM10 released, second because I have own box to compile CM10 with latest changes (or prefer to use more experienced devs builds like PieR's or D4rkn3SyS's), third this isn't any helpful for CM10 developers and not any more for users, you won't probably know how to fix any problem.
I'm not saying I'm better either, but some porting teached me something and I don't want to publish my work, just to don't read under it what's not working/is bugged 100x and people flaming & asking the same with new nightly & flaming again. Yeah, but for people who can't compile ourself, this is good just in cas they want up to date CM features.

CM10 (WIP), CM7 is usable, and Froyo is stable (just choose the rom you want). What else do you want? :silly: and btw, building 2.3+ roms are harder then customizing Froyo roms....what do you expect?

i would suggest remove this thread.
See, first of all, this is a development thread, you are not supposed to be posting any useless threads or any requests or any such things. Second, Developers develop in their free time, they are not going to work as you say, after all they are already doing us a favor by sharing with us, their hard work and their ROMS. And more over they are doing it for free. Third, there are plenty of "STABLE" froyo roms as well as a pretty stable cm7 (2.3 rom) which you can use. And regarding update and active development, I think Galaxy 3 is currently in its one of the best phase of development, kernel 3.4, jelly bean, openfimg etc.
Looks like you are new here at XDA, and you did NOT read the rules of XDA and probably didn't even watch the amazing "You are a noob" video, here are some links for you, you MUST follow, and please go through all of them before continuing further on XDA -

Exactly! And the last of all, Marcel request us not to ask for ETAs!
G3 community is less active because this device is a low-end and old one...if you want a lots of roms with full working list go buy an GN or GSIII and go away ! We all love this community and their devs so show more respect to them, they made my old phone the best it could be and I thanks them for that

And the other thing is g3 has lots of developmn many high end devices dont even have so much of activity going on. like moto droid razr being a high end its really less active i development....they dont hve muh custom roms either. g3 instead have had more deving 2.2>2.3>4.0 and now an almost working 4.1. thts a record break . reporting this thread now or this topic will go on extending and mod will scold of of us......

The title really hurts me..........wake up devs?? Are they sleeping??
They are striving hard even in their spare/leisure time to keep this phone alive for years to come.
Our community is really gifted to have such a bunch great devs.
Just because you moved to a new device, plz don't post things that discourage devs........there r still a lot of devs who have upgraded their devices & still help us.

There is no point in asking for kitkat ETA
Only rzn we asking for 4.3 ETA is bcuz it has been on ptcrb for a while and Z devices have already got, sony promised the release to be soon, but they shud seriously stop making us wait like this and etc , they dont know what we go thru, the ppl waiting for update, each day check blogs, sony site, pc companion, software update and etc and its just sad that its not there :-/ so ya plz sign the petition guyz, just any kind of ETA is fine for me

Yes, I think CM will be releasing something on the start of december...
I already see some ports to Nexus devices (including 7 2012&2013), maybe someone who knows coding may port it for us as a preview or a test build, the same way that somebody tried with MIUI from Nexus 7 2013 \o/
A dev could attempt a vanilla asop build.

My friend actually thought me how to build from source, so I am going to try to build android l rom for tab 2 7" but i kind of forgot how, but i will let you guys know how it goes!

Also, OFFICIAL NEWS ABOUT CYANOGENMOD 12: They said that initial works should be seen in the first days of next month or even in the ending of this month. Note: official nightlies only for devices with official device maintainers (don't know if Tab 2 still have one) :good::good::good:

There's also another developer which left. It's Varun, the guy who built AOSP 5.0 for Xperia L. Lots of questions on the development thread made him leave. Oh well, hope he comes back.
Afaik, we have no active maintainer. Codeworkx used to be our maintainer, but he left. Just sent an email to CyanogenMod about this.
