The USA Central Time Zone on my Acer A500 say GMT -5:00 Central Daylight Time. This is wrong, Central time zone is suppose to be -6:00. Does anyone have the same problem? Is there a solution/fix for this? Thank you.
Have you set the clock to the "wrong". Central time zone? Does the time display correctly?
I believe in my tablet and phone CST is showing as - 5 right now because of daylight savings time, and when the time changes soon it will automatically switch back to displaying as - 6

Don't panic, but anyone planning on using GPS in the southeastern US for the next month or so will likely want to make sure they have a fallback option. That's according to a flight advisory just issued by the FAA, which warns pilots that their GPS signal "may be unreliable or unavailable" due to "GPS tests" that the Department of Defense will be conducting between January 20th and February 22nd. Details are fairly light beyond that, but the FAA does note that when the "tests" occur they will be active for 45 minutes, and be followed by 15 minutes of off time -- additional notices to pilots will apparently be issued at least 24 hours prior to any test. Of course, while this particular advisory is directed at pilots, it will presumably will also affect all other GPS devices, as the FAA doesn't mention any GPS issues specific to aviation. The real question, however, is just what those mysterious "GPS tests" are -- if they're, in fact, GPS tests at all...

Thanks for the info!
Whats funny is, this day in age, I wonder how many people will honestly not know what fall back options they have.
A friend of mine brought her daughter to the grandparents house, who has all wireless house lines. The one phone the little girl was using got bad reception, and mom explained "because it's wireless". The little girl then says "You know, they should make house phones that have cords attached to the handset and base". I'm like "Wow, I better get rid of my VHS tapes laying around here before I have kids.
USA still looking for Obama...um I mean Osama..lol

Some of these date back a little farther than myself, BUT I atleast knew about them.
Thanks for the heads up, guess I won't be using turn by turn for the next week.
and we'll never know what the government is testing during this....just hope for no more dead birds or fish :-/
My wife's phone has been having issues with the Time and Date. Several times it has automatically changed the date back to september 7th and switches the time zone to atlantic time (we're on the east coast - eastern standard time) Anybody else having this issue and or know why? It is set to receive this info from the carrier but I'm tempted to just set it from the phone only.
I have experienced a similar but different scenario. If I use the M as a hot spot, all connected devices roll back a few hours. Annoying and hate to "fix" it by manually setting clock. May have changed the date too but didn't pay attention.

A resolution wasn't posted but you may want to ask on the Motorola forum if it was resolved.
Hey,
I currently live in Australia and am wondering what time the Nexus 4 will launch here?, will it launch at the same time as America or is it a midnight launch here?
Sorry if there are other posts like this, I did search and couldn't find any.
Thanks,

It's not very likely that the phone will role out everywhere at their local midnight. More likely to roll out at midnight PST, or after 9 am PST when google employees show up.
Ok, thanks, ill probably just stay up until midnight, thanks for the help
Many peope are saying it will be 00:00 am PST for eveyone. I like the soucd of this as it will be 7 PM here for me in Melbourne, that would be good timing for me. I doubt itll be 9 am PST because if it is 9 AM PST for everyone, that means it will be 4 AM 14th Novemeber for us in AUstralia, but the site for us shows, 'available nov 13' not nov 14.
12:03am in South Australia - 13th November 2012, no respect for the aussies! :silly:. Finger banged the hell out of the F5, no joy. See you all at 00:00 PST !
Well, at least you guys won't be staying up or getting up at 3am to check if it's open for order...
So is Google going to start selling the N10 at 1 minute past midnight UK tonight? or 1 minute past midnight US time?
I would like to know this as I want a lovely new package at my door on Wednesday.
No one knows, but if you ask me then I don't see how they could release it at the same time in all regions. If they release it at the same time then there is no chance it will be shipped the same day in some countries. Isn't it 13 Nov already in Australia?

Yes I suspect so, but dont they still use rocks and an abacus there?
My guess is it will be midnight plus one in googles California time zone.
It seems it will be tomorrow afternoon for europe. At least that's what some German Google worker posted on Google+.
Update: now he says 9am in Germany, that should be 00:00 PST.
First of all a Zdrave from bulgaria!
So here in bulgaria, the phone was initially supposed to be released on march 20th, yea ok didnt happen!
Then we went to end of march and now it was supposed to be out today (april 15th), but still nothing.
And now they're saying on april 22nd...
anyone have any idea about the definite date instead of playing these cat mouse games with the consumers??
very frustrating....
Well, here in your neighbour country of Romania one carrier has already begun taking preorders but they clearly specified that the delivery date will be after may 2. The other 2 major carriers did not advance any dates till now but one of them promises it will be very soon. Either way i don't think there is any chance of actually holding your personal device in your hand before the beggining of may, hopefuly not later. It is problably the same in Bulgaria.
PS: we have at least the chance to test the phone in a few carrier main shops in Bucharest. For me no other phone gets close to the sensation of holding the One, it is special, beautifull and blazing fast so i am going to wait nicely since there is nothing on the market that can trully compete with whole package.
First week of May here.. i been without a phone for over a month.. it´s a drag.
Sindroid is from the future...
