Hey i just flashed hyperion rom build 07 but theres some bug in it......it always shows me sim error.... I tried rebooting several times and i also did a data wipe but still its not fixed!! :/ plzz help

If you read the q&a on the first page of insanity rom (you could use the search function to find it) all the info you require is hidden there.
If you've already done all that and nitr8 can't help, then try a different modem.

A friend bought a Samsung Y, and since I know very little about that model, I was hoping some of you and agree on a good ROM that keeps the factory feel. This is for a female friend who wishes her device would'nt lag as it does. So your recommendation will be great appreciated.

To remove lags, install any custom rom from the development section and then install a kernel preferably the one by savie,kurotsugi or merruck
Install ussr 5 with merruk or whitexp kernel

use Creeds 3.5 it gives u a Galaxy S3 like look or use Creeds 2.0.... u can also use Repencis 3.5.... it is very fast, stable and i used it for the longest time till now....(4 days )

It's very simple cust ROM for Gal Young
for every day use and when u not want a rom with too much tweaks then use TermaRom v2,it has low ram and battery use and u can it theming and tweaking when u want its a very light rom,i have it used a long time,its old but good(oldies but goldies).

with the termarom its no problem,its the stablest rom i ever seen and has a realy high point result on antutu without tweak,and cm7 is not stable enough in moment.

It will be easy if u can knw ur phone's kernel.. It will be something like ddlk2 or ddlk1 or something... Have a look for it..
Or ask ur friend for this...

You'll see people posting their problems in every rom's thread whether it be hyperion or jelly blast but those are not bugs in roms they are just glitches we face when we do something wrong while flashing or mess up with something unnecessarily! Devs won't release buggy roms after all

I'm sure merruk kernel works with all roms
Try to find a guide on installing merruk's kernel in thr general section by mai77

lol i had a hard time installing too in during my first time,
it is complicated and a tiny mistake could brick the phone,
anyways,
just be patient and try it over and over in a very slow pace and note everything you did during the process and i'm sure you'll get it in no time,

go to dev section,search for wifi driver by whitexp.
you flash hells_fusion,why don't u search first in respective thread?

are you mounting everything before install? cuz I fixed all wifi bugs in #50
He might have switched from a kernel using whites modded dhd.ko that means wifi will only work on whites kernel
But buddy helps here .....just extract dhd.ko from a stock rom its there in system/lib/modules ..... Correct me if im wrong...i dont remember....it should be there...or download it from the thread flash or replace and VOILA problem solved.....

I was using stock kernel on evo x3 rom now i am on jellyblast 3.5 with kuro kernel.....
Hey! Buddy I am on my other Galaxy Y it is working super fine with your hell fusion kernel with creed rom 3.5.....

1-extract dhd.ko from the stock rom and place it in system/lib/modules

I told them that my was not working since a week I saw they flashed stock rom (it could be DDLA3) now updated DDLK1.....
They told me it was a minor issue and not a driver problem bcoz i thought be4 I alsi had a hard brick on it......
