Hello peoples!
My nephew got a Nexus 7 for his birthday, 2week later the device just escape from his and end fall on the top corner of the screen side.
The screen is broke, the device still turning on but touch screen doesn't work.
I called ASUS, they ask me 75€ just to tell me how much will cost the reparation -_-.
So i wonder if someone know where can i buy a screen in europe?(france) to replace it myself.
Thanks
You can check on ebay to find defective devices where the defect is not related to the screen. By searching i found other ppl to successfully replace their broken screen by that.
As far as the search result goes it is being said that the part number is 90R-OK0M1L11000U, you can try searching for that, but posts indicate that noone has it in stock.
Defective devices can be put apart and you can sell all remaining parts seperatly to lower costs. Reports indicate they'll be sold for a very cheap price. Don't know how it will look like in france though.
Good luck.
Well, i found on ebay 3 screen:
one of them
screen
But 130€ plus 30€ for shipping.
The screen cost more than 60% of the devices, damn.
I think i'll give him my Iconia A100 and wait next month to see if screen prize get lower.

My 2 weeks old Kaiser slipped from my hands and the LCD broke !! I am looking for a good repair shop in Belgium or any links from which I can procure a new LCD screen real fast! Any pointers would be helpful. Also, does anyone know if the LCD screen is covered under the HTC warranty ??
whipout ur htc carepack, call the number nearest you. They probably would fix it for you for a small charge. Keep in mind, repair shops aren't htc specialists.... So my suggestion is that you contact htc and see what they can do for you.
i feel for you :{
my girlfriend just got her LCD cracked from a roller coaster (stupid safety bars). probably going to take a few weeks for us to get a replacement screen since they don't even sell the kaiser here.
she keeps subconsciously trying to touch the screen on her interm dumb-phone... and sighs.
do it yourself! buy a replacement screen on ebay, and look for replacement instructions on this forum
how easy does the screen crack if you drop it? just for arguments sake shouldn't the phones be able to sustain a reasonable drop? After all you are constantly using it in your hands so it is likely you would drop it at least once.

My Tilt has only 2 buttons on the right, the power and camera buttons. http://cnn.cn/shop/images/IMG_5052.JPG shows there are 3 buttons. What's the 3rd button?
I found that on expansys website while i was checking for a good screen protector... Have a look here :

Well, I've taken up a hobby of repairing all makes/models of phone that I can get parts for, so I'd be exceptionally grateful if you could provide some info as to WHERE and HOW you get them so cheaply....
TIA!
there are a few shopping mall in china that sell only spare part for pc, mobile phones and all micro electronics part.
and because most of the oem and third party parts are all made in china, its always cheaper to buy from there, I travel to china a lot, and in search for some parts, I did come across some tytn II parts.
but then you need to live in china or hong kong just like me, so you can go back and forward.
I can also let you know that only micro electronics parts and mobile spare parts are cheaper in china, PC stuff are cheaper in hong kong, as well as back up service.
you need to go to wha qheung ( my own english translation) street along the china railway system, most of them do bulk buy and send overseas, but its best to be there in person, as you cannot trust them sometime.
next time i'll get the address when I go over again, but i'll don't think you will travel there.

So I dropped my Galaxy Nexus onto my TPT at a distance of about 1 foot, and my glass cracked, and the touch digitizer is freaking out (pen digitizer also doesn't work, but I can at least use my tablet in Pen Only mode with the keyboard dock).
I'm trying to find a replacement glass/digitizer, and I'm having issues. Lenovo wants $750 to replace the LCD. Ridiculous! So what happens if I try to buy the part, assuming that labor is the majority of that $750? It costs more. The maintenance manual lists 3 part numbers for the LCD (they don't sell the digitizer/glass separately): 04W2150, 04W2151, 04W2152. I was quoted $922 for the first one, $1785 for the second one, and the third one didn't have a published price. Meanwhile, I'm frantically searching eBay for a broken TPT at a good price that I can scavenge from. Any help would be appreciated.
These guys have great prices , but the picture of the digitizer only shows verizon logo, the bottom lg logo is blank. I have seen other sellers blur the lg logo, and even remove both logos from their lcd assembly in the pics but they are actually on the assembly (they say ebay rules, probably bc their not oe). So I'm trying to find out if that's what earthworkscreation does. They appear to be the largest supplier on ebay so hopefully someone has Used them, considering the digitizer is unusable in spots that become cracked on this phone. Btw , reason I ask is bc they will not answer me. Their feedback says great communication but I have asked about 5 times. Never get a response. So my suspicion is , its bc they do have the logos but don't wanna answer bc it's not allowed since it's not oe. Anyone?
nope no idea. Never tried them. good prices though from what I looked at.
Something is up with I another seller selling the exact same display will not answer either.
Screen from eBay
I bought a screen on eBay from ABC Gold. ebay.com/usr/abc_gold_inc?_trksid=p2047675.l2559
It had the LG logo on the bottom of the screen, arrived a day earlier than promised and worked perfectly once installed. They have screens that are compatible with whatever LG model you happen to have. A friend of mine also ordered a screen from them and had a good experience as well. I would recommend them. In fact I just broke my screen for a second time now and will be ordering from them again. They have pretty good prices as well.
@sunnyd7493 I have looked to that ebay seller and he seems trustable for me and he also have many positive reactions and tools included with digitizer/display for 65 dolars only? Damm thats cheap for that combination xd. I think sunny that you need an case or an better case to prevent broken screens, it will spare you money and a broken screen.

Why don't you just send it back to the store you got it from and get the replacement for free? Can't be that expensive (super amoleds usually go for around $250). No need to pay taxes and other import tariffs when sending a device in for repairs.
Hi, i found a Nexus 7 (2012) in an electronic container, the tablet seem to boot after letting it charge 30min and holding power on for 10sec. I cannot be sure if it's 100% working but the upper screen seem to have gray bar moving until 3min later when it stopped (booting until lock screen). The screen's totally unusable since it has a big shatter section in the center. I am looking for a recommendation of the cheaper screen replacement i could get on any website. Ebay at the moment seem the best at $26 USD, i live in Canada.
Thank you for your recommendation.
you do not want to buy the cheapest display/digitizer combo that you can find, because those are chinese parts (not OEM), you should buy your screen from reputable US/CA based vendors, and try to buy used screens in good shape. two years ago I bought a display/digitizer/frame assembly for my nexus 7, from the ebay seller FoxPcParts, and it arrived slightly scratched (this is a good indicator that it was removed from a nexus 7, so OEM quality). you dont want to deal with chinese knockoff parts, so try to limit your search to local or US vendors. if you want the link to this vendor, PM me (xda does not allow me to post outside links because I'm a new member).
Might be a little too late, ordered from the cheapest seller who has a ton of good feedback and sold 300+ unit of replacement.
Now i tried to activate adb from fastboot, idk if it's still possible but it don't sound anymore since it was from Jellybean time. It seem i can access the internal sd card when it has booted in android. Gonna wait some time for the delivery.
If anyone know a method of using this device from my computer screen or something like that when adb's not activated, just let's know. Thank.
