Yes
Just a caution so you don't get surprised, if you flash the entire stock ROM you will lose recovery, but you can flash it back in easily once the ROM load is finished. If you've taken backups to internal storage, move them off before you proceed. You will also lose root but again you can flash that back easily as well.

I have sucessfully rooted and unlocked my tf300t with the stock rom .30, but i have been reading around the forums about jb4.1 and was wondering whether or not to revert back to stock. Also I was wondering if custom roms will update to jb4.1 and if i need to unroot or revert my bootloader to update to jb4.1 stock? Thanks.

you can't re-lock your bootloader anymore. which means no jb ota update or any other updates from asus ota.

You can always flash stock Rom, even with bootloader unlocked.
When official JB by Asus come, you will be able to flash it too.
About unofficial JB, there is already CM10. It's usable, but some features are yet not working, like Bluetooth...
You can check the topic under tf300 android development forum.

So i should be able to flash jb4.1 ota when it comes since im still on stock rom? And will i lose my root privelidges when flashing the new update?

I don't know if you will be able to get ota update automatically. Our friend above said not. But you still can flash it manually, from stock or from any custom Rom.
About root, you will lose it, but can root again.

The first one blows out /data....the second should reflash /system. Reflashing /system will not work if you have changed something....it checks each file for integrity before flashing.
ok I've already reflashed the stock rom, just downloaded from Asus website and renamed it to a bigger number on the zip. the tablet detected the update and bam! it's a fresh stock rom.

Ok so I'm not exactly new to the rooting scene but I'm having trouble since getting the 4.2.1 update. Upon installing TWRP 2.5 and various flavors of CWM, The system is unable to mount anything in recovery! Everything else works great but just not the recovery. Anyone have a fix for this? Not sure if I am willing to downgrade stock, I am afraid that it will brick my device (what happened last time)

You are flash the wrong twrp Version. You need 2.5.0.0. Jb4_2 .

Okay, so i was getting ready to flash the slim bean, i start and everything says it flashes fine. I reboot and it is stuck on the boot screen. I had made a back up earlier, so i decided to restore. It fails. Try to flash the slim bean again, and it also fails. When i back out of twrp, it says i'm not rooted and asks me if i would like to install root. i click yes, it does nothing but reboot. i am downloading the factory stock odin file, but would prefer not to use odin if i could. Any suggestions?

Did you check to see if you actually lost root? Or is TWRP just saying that you lost root?
i can only get into twrp or download mode, how could i check?

Well, it sounds like it is too late now, Odin is probably your best bet.
well, i will just have to close my eyes when i press that start button. lol, i am afraid of this program, broke my captivate with it. everything seems to be going fine, but that doesn't always mean anything. crosses fingers.

not sure if it worked, it is stuck at the boot screen again, but odin said it passed.

Odin leaves certain data intact, so you might have to go the Emergency stock firmware recovery route via Kies.
the odin file adam outler posted, i used the third mirror. now trying the second.
it's fixed now, thank you.

Recieved a new update in Switzeland yesterday for my TF300TG (V10.6.2.6)
Temporary unroot with OTA rootkeeper installed and restored root. Feels faster an bluetooth is working. No problems with apps and launcher.

After the update can see that standby battery life improved. But after few minutes of use the tablet becomes hot. Does any1 has the same issue?
Using tf300tl, non root.
