and ? anyone tested it ?
still waiting the feedback
I didn't get this. UMS is already implemented in Android 4.x. So what's this Android 3.6.5? And what is so special with this UMS that you've made?

I've just saw it on Twitter !
MIUI is going open source very soon so we can try to port it to our device !

After cm7 is done, it will be easier to port I guess.
Cheers

MIUI is mostly based on CM sources. So if CM9/7 is possible then so is MIUI.

OK so I have been trying out cm7.1&2 but noticed that I don't have that steady of signal or my data will go out while on a call. After trying cm7.0.3 it seems to be more stable and based off 2.3.3(7.1&2 is 2.3.7 dunno if that makes a difference) but is missing some settings that I like from 7.2.
So my question is what do I need to do to have the tweaks from the 7.2 in the 7.0.3
Thanks for the help in advance
Sent from my GT-P3110 using xda app-developers app
Come on somebody has to know.
Either I gotta put the tweaks in cm7.0.3 or I gotta put the 2.3.3 base in cm7.2.
Just don't know which will fix the stability. All I know is the boot.img is the kernel

You're probably in over your head. This isn't some copy/paste business. You would need to compile 7.0.3 with the proper commits from 7.2. Also, the boot.img is the kernel+ramdisk.
I would be willing to try could I just follow the guide on the cyanogenmod website.

The S4 kernel would prove useful. If someone know someone who could leak it, it would be awesome.

You don't port kernels...you port the actual software aka touchwiz -the frameworks, the apps
The kernel is just instructions for the actual hardware. Tells how to boot, how to clock the processor etc. There is no point in porting the s4 kernel to an s3...drivers will be different and half the stuff the s4 kernel supports aren't supported by the s3 at a hardware level.
Sent from my HTC PH39100 using Tapatalk 2
I know. I don't want to port the kernel, I want to modify it so it will work with s3.
The s4 rom is done by someone else.

Do you know what porting is??? Porting is modifying something so it will work on another device
There is no point in modifying the sgs4 kernel to work on the sgs3 or any other phone. You can ask any experienced dev and they will tell you the same thing...
Please enlighten me as to why you want make an s4 kernel work on the s3? What benefits will it give you? What are its advantages? -if you ask me nothing...but let's see if you know something I dont as I'm always up for learning something new

Lol you don't need to make the s4 kernel work for the s3, you just need it so you can make proper edits to the ramdisk to get it to boot
At least that based on the research I've done on how to port sense to a non sense device...which should theoretically be pretty much the same for all manufacturer os/ui ports to a different manufacturer phone
Anyways...you probably won't be seeing any sgs4 kernels until actual release...

I think Nexus 5 port (and others) are working with CM11 as base. The semi-official (i.e. community / Jolla collaboration) for the Nexus 4 will no doubt move to CM11 in due time .. from what I could gather, it won't be next release, though. I'd guess all new ports will take CM11 (or 12 when L comes out) as base. P.S. In the HADK release notes, EA2 states that official CM11 / AOSP support is intended 'eventually'.

I think no,but before adding the dual sim support they should fix all the major bug (maybe with the new release of hadk a lot of things should be fixed).
