I just picked up the RAZR HD and I noticed that it does not have the sticky note widget that was previously on the RAZR. I tried extracting the apk from the original RAZR but it will not install on the RAZR HD. Does anyone have any solutions, and no I don't won't want to download app from the market. I have already tried all the apps in the market and none of them are as good as the original on the RAZR. Please someone help!!!
I attached the Apk file that I extracted from my Droid RAZR just in case anyone wants to check it out.
I never used Motorola's. I always used Color Note.

If I would want to port something from a Motorola Droid to a Droid Eris, how would I go about doing that? All I need is a brief run-down of how to do it and I'll hopefully get through it.
What I am trying to port is the Droid dialer to the Eris so it can be used on there. I have a Droid Eris and I have the Phone.apk from the Motorola Droid ROM.
Thanks for all your help.
Cmertin
If anyone is interested, I have uploaded the Phone.apk from the Droid.

I dont think that is what he was looking for, but what i think you really need is the contacts.apk from it to get the dialer, only problem is it will give you a parse error if you try to install, or wont show up if you push it. If you get info on how to get it to work let me know!
Phone.apk is not what you think it is. I don't know what the dialer is called on the Droid. On aosp it's Contacts.apk, and on Htc based roms it's HtcDialer.apk. Additionally there is DialerOne.
If you copy Phone.apk from a Droid to your Eris, your Eris will no longer connect to the network.
I gave up my Samsung G Tab for a Xoom and I miss the "Files" app (File Manager Optimized for a tablet).
Doesn't anyone have the apk so I can install it on my Xoom?
Thx
I don't have the samsung tab, but on this forum there is a section for it. In the dev section grab a rom and extract the file.

Got it thx!
Did it work? I grabbed a few apk's from a ROM as well, and they wouldn't run, and that one in particular wouldn't install. Which ROM did you get them from?
Thanks!
I need them for a theme I'm working on for another device. They aren't in the Droid system dump found online, can't find them anywhere online, and I don't feel like reverting my Droid to stock just to get the files.
If someone could drop 'em online for a download, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Gingerbread or Honeycomb?
Froyo, since that's the latest official Android version on the Moto Droid.
XOOM'd from the XDA app.

Is there a SystemUI.apk in froyo?
Hmm. Good question. I just checked my Droid and don't see one.
Perhaps it's all in framework-res.apk. In that case, this would be all I need. However, it's also absent from the system dump.
I found it in the 2.2 update.zip that was on my computer.
Systemui.apk is in GB not froyo. So you can pull it from CM, LGB etc.

I haven't owned a Droid X in years, but I stumbled upon the 16GB SD card that was in it... If anyone needs anything, let me know and I'll Dropbox it.
Here's the highlights, but post what you're looking for and I'll see if I have it, I'd rather not list EVERYTHING on it, and there's a lot on it!
CyanogenMod 7 (I'm assuming the beta that came out) - "cm_shadow_full_127.zip"
APK for Real HDMI - I know there were two versions back in the day, only one worked, not sure which one this is, but there's probably a few versions throughout the SD card.
Fission ROM (Froyo Vanilla) - Fission ROMs were da **** back in the day, this one is basically AOSP Vanilla Froyo 2.2 with the stock look and no Moto add-ons.
APK for Gingerbreak v1.20 - If memory serves, roots Gingerbread Android 2.3 for the DX.
Liberty Gingerbread ROM - v0.7
MIUI 7.22 - Not sure if 2.2 or 2.3
The "Monster" update.zip that upgrades 2.2 to 2.3 stock... rooted? I think.
Oh wait this one is CyanogenMod 7.1, the beta thing that came out - update-cm-7-.1...
Apex 2.0 Beta
TranQ 3.7.0 (ROM but I can't recall which one)
Droid 2 bootstrap APK (works with Droid X)
Liberty Toolbox APK
Netflix APK cracked for Droid X
PDAnet APK
Liberty Toolbox APK
I'm not responsible if any of these files screw up your phone or computer or whatever, but between you and me they won't.

If you still have it, I could use the Droid2 bootstrap APK file. Thanks.
[HOW TO] Install/Use Droid 2/X/3 Bootstrap

Just use the modified dx Bootstrap in that link
Sent from my Clear using xda premium
So to be clear, you don't need the Droid 2 Bootstrap.apk? I mean that's probably around the interwebs..
you need a bootstrap to
install custom roms, create/restore nandroids and several other things
edit: there are links to the original Droid 2 bootstrap in my list, but I'm recommending the modified Droid X or 3 bootstrap, because cwm has been updated from 2.0 to 5.0
Regarding files
I am having trouble getting wifi to work is there a special kernel i have to flash... it isn't just on one rom i have tried several and am currently using a cm9 port (ics). Any help would be appreciated... also it is a motorola droid x. I keep getting the error "Authentication Problem" when trying to connect to my home WPA2 network. it did connect using WPS oddly... so is there some type of file or patch floating around that i don't know about for wpa/wpa2? Sorry if i'm not posting in the right thread i am not sure where to post. Thank you!

Moto X Kit By DroidScoop.net
This kit is a compilation of .apk files and wallpapers that will make your device function similar to the features found on the Moto X. We do not own the rights to any of these .apk's or wallpapers
Whats included:
Active Notifications .apk
Moto X Camera .apk
Moto X Gallery .apk
Twisty Launcher .apk
Sun Beam Live Wallpaper .apk
Moto X Wallpapers
Your device does not need to be rooted to use the following kit, but running an AOSP ROM provides a more intuitive interface.
Keep in mind the Moto X Camera as well as the gallery will not work on all devices. Most of the newer Motorola devices are compatible as well as many of the Samsung Galaxy phones. If issues arise use titanium backup to freeze the stock camera .apk
Also...
Active Notifications and twisty launcher must be configured to work as desired.
Download found at this Dev Host URL: d-h.st/FD1
Do Not Flash From Recovery
To install unzip the file and manually download the .apk files
If you like our Kit visit our website at Droidscoop.net we're small but growing. Support us for more great content!!!
Is this meant to be flashed or unzipped an installed individually?

Unzipped and individually installed I apologize for not specifying that. The zip file I initially prepared was going to be an add on that could be flashed through a recovery, but I was getting too many errors and force closes. Also this allows for more devices to become compatible. Rooted or not.
I'm getting a parsing error trying to install the active notifications apk on my gs4. Im running a custom rom on 4.2.2
Edit: I'm pretty sure it's because active notifications only works on 4.3 phones. I remember this app came out not too long ago and you needed to have 4.3

I'm running illusion ROM 4.2.2 on a GS3 and I have yet to have an issue. I also have successfully used active notifications on a Nexus 4 on 4.3 as well as a HTC droid incredible on Gingerbread.
Try downloading the APK directly from the Play Store if the file is not working.
I think the apk in the zip file may be an older version of the active notifications app. I downloaded from the playstote when I learned it now works with 4.0+ and it works fine now. I just wanted some way to have active notifications

The kit is simply a pack of .apk files which should work fine with most devices. We have already tested these on our T-mobile Note II running an AOSP ROM. Please let me know if any issues arise as we will promptly configure a fix.

I got a parsing error for the apk download for Active Notifications. Does this require me to download the app from the Play Store? I did that before hand, but I deleted it and tried to install the apk and said parsing still.

Try downloading the .apk from the Playstore and let me know how that works; Also what type of device are you using and what OS version. I have gotten this to work on a couple of rooted devices on ICS and Gingerbread but I have noticed that many devices not running 4.0+ are running into problems.

Dynamic Notifications works in the same concept, but it shows a stock android style icon for gmail and texts. I am using a Note II with stock 4.1.2 TW.

We just flashed stock TW on our Note II and we're getting the same error. So the only fix I'm seeing for this device is to flash an AOSP based ROM

Yeah, I think I am not really willing to root my device at this time. Thanks for the help though. If you find a fix besides the AOSP ROM of my choice, let me know via private message. Thanks, but outside of the Active Notifications, I enjoyed the wallpapers. I hope the Motorola apps will work on all devices.

My apologies for the delay,
The twisty launcher .apk is the only working method to simulate the Moto X's Quick capture camera. I have yet to find a device that supports this native feature other than the Moto X itself.
