Anyone recommend headphones that you found work with CM10 Alpha 1?
Bluetooth or wired?
Anything works.
Any wired headphones work, and bluetooth audio is supposedly fixed in beta 4, so try that if you want bt.

Has anybody figured out a way to disable the built-in speaker when listening to music on a wired headset? Currently my shadow (running 6.1) plays the music out of BOTH the built-in speaker AND the headphones when using them. If I use a BT headset and the BTAudio program (to force all sounds to the BT headset) then the sound does NOT come out of the built-in.
I should note that I'm using one of those cable converters to convert the HTC headset jack to a standard 2.5mm jack.
Can anybody else reproduce this?
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance,
Jeff
is it possible on the vibrant to stream music to my jawbone bt earpiece ? i used to do it on my touch pro 2. but with android im not sure ? help me out guys please
Yes, it's possible (though it may depend on what model Jawbone you have). Make sure your Jawbone is updated with H2DP and your phone should be able to recognize that the headset can be headphones as well. Check out the Jawbone website for more info.
If his jawbone is like my old one ( now use a Plantronics Pro), it didn't support Stereo (H2DP)
One of things I plan on looking into the Android source for is why someone hasn't come out with a "Mixer" app to route Media out the BT Headset profile. I'm sure there's a technical reason.
I've never seen a phone send music out to a BT headset... I don't understand why that is, it does if you use a wired headphone.
Things like podcasts should be fine in a mono headset. Even music would be better than nothing.

A2DP?
The new jawbone hero has an update that supports A2DP. Music sounds terrible through it tho, I even streamed NPR's car talk through it and it was scratchy. For some reason too, the phone prefers streaming over BT rather than through the audio jack when it's plugged in. Turned off the audio profile for the headset.
Hi, I just bought a couple of headphones for my flashed HTC HD2.
The problem is that it does not play music. After googling it is probably due to the fact that the headset does not support A2DP. (which is stereo playback)
Now my question is if there is any fix to play music anyway, without the A2DP feature in the headset)
I mean, I can hear calls etc. in the headphones.
Thanks!
Hi!
Unfortunatly A2DP is the only way to stream music from your phone to a bluetooth headset. I Google'd a bit and maybe it's good to check the Automatic Bluetooth Toggle Pro app, because it is possible of connecting to a2dp. I think (not sure) A2DP is standard available on the HD2 because it's an older technology.
Hello guys, I will try and keep this short and sweet.
I have tried connecting a headset to my tablet, sound plays through speakers still, not the earpiece.
Then I tried connecting a bluetooth headset, it says connect, yet it still is playing sound through speakers and not the earpiece.
Any ideas? I am on 4.2.2, could it be the rom/root?
Hi, i had the same issue today with bluetooth headset, but in my case when I tried to connect the headset in the jack, it worked well, I solved the bluetooth issue with deleting the bluetooth headset in settings then re-pairing it, I am with 4.2.2 too on stock non root nexus 7.
Its definitely software related.
I downloaded soundabout to force sound through the headset instead of speakers and now its working fine.
did anyone manage to get audio streaming working on CM10.1?
I only get audio through the phone speakers.
I tried with PowerAmp's feature called "Route Output" and even I set the option to my bluetooth speakers (I have the MXBT chinese bluetooth speakers).
Things that worked over bluetooth:
pair and connect to any bt device and my laptop
send file to my phone from ubuntu
I can get you the log files if you want

So, answering my own post, I've been reading around and testing a bit...
I tried yesterday Mono Bluetooth Router (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.maxistar.monobluetoothfree) and it surprisingly works, streaming PowerAmp to my nokia hands-free earpiece.
Does anyone know what is this CyanogenMod using as a BT driver? BlueZ or BroadComm's stack?
I read that these guys are porting BlueZ to Android 4.2, it would be nice to have this software back!

There is a post here, looking for people to work on this port ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2096399 )
