Aurora to icepika
When going from Aurora to Icepika, Icepika installs and reboots..goes to the boot logo and then goes completely black with NO movement at all.
I have to remove the battery and reboot, only to find it has removed CWM recovery so I cant get back in to the phone again.
I put official gingerbread on the mmc with dload folder and recovered, re-rooted and put CWM recovery back on and then installed Aurora.
I tried this twice with the same results, followed the instructions you posted...any ideas?
Thanks.

Hi,
thank you for this work!
Anyway I have to ask you something about your custom rom.
Does your Rom have the quick settings widget in the status bar?
Did you fix the accelerometer problem? For example if you try to move on the street view (of Google Maps) with the compass mode, you understand that the accelerometer has a problem.
Can you explain what problems you solved from the stock 512 Gingerbread 2.3.5 rom from Huawei?
Thank you in advance,
regards,

the rom doesn't have the quick setting widget...but the current release is only the aplha0.
i have just tried with an app called "accelerometer test" if the accelerometer works but seems that it doesn't.
from stock B512 i have not solved any problem because, using it for a month, i have not found any kind of problem. mainly i have edited the build.prop and i have added some scripts to improve performance.

I know well your work, cause i own an O1 p500,,,,,but i don't use anyone cause i didn't wanted to change baseband with lgtool and i stay with mik's rom....and btw for O1 there are plenty of good roms to use.......
PS...i made a lot of changes on 3 weeks which i own u8800 pro and i made a really fast and fully functional stock rom 2.2.2,,,,i delete about 14 system apps ,edited build.prop, created init.d folder, some other modds and a little theming,,,,and i like it very much ........maybe i create a thread and a video to saw people how good stock rom can be made......
As you understand it's very difficult for me to change baseband,as i still couldn't found a way to downgrade again if i don't like the new baseband.......and i want to have my fm radio not loose it.....
Someone must cook a rom for .32 kernel(old baseband)

Great rom. Works flawlessly on my Impulse 4G

AuroraMIUI Alpha

This is my first rom. I don't know if it's working, because i had to send my phone back. I need someone who can test ist.
Details
It's based on the Aurora ICS for the X5 and on the MIUI from ajhavery for the Desire Z. It's ported with the method of proxuser.
Bugs
It contains all bugs of Aurora ICS
Info
Q: Will it be supported?
A: At first i need to know if it's working. Then i will need a little bit of help, because i'am only 15 years old and have not enough time.
Q: Will there be updates?
A: Yes, when it's working i will release every time updates when the other devs update their roms.
It's my first rom so don't be hard to me if anything isn't working well.
Credits
Thanks to dzo for the Aurora rom
Thanks to ajhavery for the MIUI rom
Thanks to proxuser for his guide
Install:
I think you must do a full wipe.
Put the zip you have signed to your sdcard
Do a full wipe
Install the rom
Download
Mediafire
NOTE:
PLEASE READ THIS! THE ROM IS NOT SIGNED! SIGN IT BEFORE YOU USE IT!
It would be nice if anyone would be able to sign the releases, because none of the apps can sign it and i have not a linux PC.
I am not sure but I think it would be way better to try porting Desire Z ROMs because it has same chipset while U8150 has nothing simliar to U8800 except the brand
Well, its a beginning, thanks
You can use zipsigner 2, its on the market and its free... Later ill try your room! Many many thanks!

Did you put the update.app in the root of sdcard and then press vol +/- and power button at the same time until update start. The phone should handle the rest.
Edit: first make folder "dload" in the root of sdcard and put the update.app in it.

That's why you must read the steps properly.
1. Unzip the file
2. Put fw_bcm4329.bin on the sd card.
3. Now open root explorer or root browser (allow superuser request) on phone and move fw_bcm4329.bin from sd card to system/vendor/firmware.
A dialog box will appear click yes.

Did you flash tytung kernel following this instruction?
Edit: Which rom did you flash successfully? I've tried EvoHd2IcsV9x, Unofficial-cm10-hd2(jellybean) and aokp b40, but I still can't turn on WIFI.
However, it better than before, that the system will ask me to turn on WIFI when the first boot configuration. (but can't turn on too.)
No, i flash directly the zip file. Following these steps:
1. Flash your new rom first.
2. Download tytung kernel r2.3 from link in his profile.
3. Open the .zip file (not unzip) and replace the file initrd.gz in \kernel\boot\ with the one in your rom (open .zip rom and it's also in \kernel\boot\). You have to do this step otherwise wifi wont work.
4. Flash the kernel via recovery.
5. Enjoy
Almost new HD2 ICS rom use tytung kernel r3, r3.1 & r3.2 and wifi not work for me. So i try to flash the newest release and downgrade the kernel to r2.3 and wifi work well.
P/s: i havent tried Cm10 yet.

It works, but GPU accelaration isn't working, along with camera/Wifi/BT like said in the first post.
With some work, this could be interesting.

Can you please inform us if the developer publish a new update? Thanks
Do the softkeys work in this one?

Following Thread. Hoping for a more stable release, since we can't exactly provide feedback since developer is not an XDA member.
I have upload a "little" record of this ROM running on my u8800. I think this rom has maked to u8800pro, but runs on u8800. I tell this because in Setting section, in "CyanogenMod version", is written "10-20121015-UNNOFICIAL-u8800pro", i'm not sure... :\

(i'm sorry for my bad english)
Yeah but thats an easy fix, just change that in build.prop
This one seems to work ok but even though network seems to be working, mobile data is not, so no Internet connection whatsoever... :crying:
