Is it possible to make a full theme change for windows mobile 6? I mean not like Wisbar Apps or any other type that is similar to it. I mean changing the colors, backgrounds of the phone and any other winmo6 embedded software.
Here is an example of want i want it to do. lets say that you are changing the theme of your winmo6 to blue but you want to keep the same look and feel to it with out install a cab to change the phone the blue color in stead when you change the color to blue it will change everything on your device blue too.
thanks
Its already been done. Search on here for Shantz changer.

it does not change the phone color just the today screen
There's two applications I know of - both change various aspects of your colour schemes; one is "RC Mod" (get it here) and the other is called "UI Tweaker" (from here).
Have a look, see what you think

first link is uesless, it's in italian for the most part. And UI Tweaker just changes colors, not the dial pad.
Unless someone comes out with an app that lauches the color changes as well as a cab install for the phone dialer, there isn't a current app to do this. This is one of the drawbacks I have hate about WM. It was never designed to do whole system color coding, you can change the theme which does change system colors, but there is still a lot of white coloring thru out the OS and the dial pads, keyboards, etc never change color with the theme.

I must have misunderstoof the first post incorrectly then, but I didn't see the OP ask about changing the dialer.....all of the colours on the dialer are images anyway, so it makes no difference what colour the rest of the UI gets changed to...
The first link is useless coz the attached images are dead links and the post is mostly in Italian because the author is, like, Italian....you obviously stopped reading after the first couple of words
I agree that WM 6.0 lacks any decent "UI tweaking" capabilities - hopefully MS will address that deficiency in 6.1, or 7.0, or 8.0, or........maybe not
Mark.
Since the dialer, theme and everything else is controlled by images and registry edits I believe you just have to delve in with Mortscript and learn how to script it yourself. Mortscript will then batch process it in the same way you can do it yourself manually. But once you do it'll be pretty sweet. You can have a iPhone script, a Touch script, etc. for one click overall theme change. Its just getting familiarized with Mortscript and digging into dialpad CABs to see what registry/files need to be modified/copied. Heck if you are going that route you might as well see if its possible to manually copy over some of the welcome screens as well. =P
Just curious, do you honestly switch your entire phone theme that often? And need the phone pad/dialer to be changed as well? Have you even tried installing a dialpad CAB, then another one on top of it, then another one on top of that one...just to see if it creates any corruption?
Shantz is great cause it does exactly what it needs to do on changing the theme or background and he even has an option to allow you to run an external program (mortscript) so that it can copy the background onto other programs such as S2U2 and WAD (and in the future...possibly PointUI Home background).
So if you are willing to give up on the idea of installing a dialpad CAB (perhaps install a neutral gray or black one), the task will be a lot easier with Shantz and a little bit of Mortscript coding.

This software is not to change colors, but it has a theme modifier feature that changes the color of that ugly scroll bar on right today screen, and the default buttons etc. Very fun! There is a trial version on website.
TEST IT
Have a look at this program:

it can create new themes or modify an existing one (you can copy the existing one from your windows directory)....
I'm an O2 Xda Atom Life user and I'm using the ROM Xda_Atom_Life_WM6_CHT_RC2140907B2. I have a problem with the Windows Live Today plugin, 'cause the fonts are too large and they use a lot of space of the Today page. How can I change the size of fonts of this plugin? I have checked the registry but I could find no way to do so.
I don't know whether this only happens in the CHT Atom Life or not, so I decided to put the thread here...
Thanks if anyone has ideas with it.

HKLM/Control panel/Stylus>96DPI....Current Font...I have large fonts and set at 1100. For smaller fonts, set lower than 1100...soft reset.
Thanks a lot^^!
But this will change some of the font size of the system at the same time...
Anyway thanks for the solution!

No, I found that some font size of the system programs is smaller after hacking, e.g. Message Centre, Windows Live, words in Office Mobile programs...
But never mind, I love the font size after changing...
I've also found that the option of "Settings==>System==>Screen==>Fonts Size" changed after hacking... It seems that the registry hacking is not really necessary...?

Is it possible for you to explain how you made the font into a cab? Or what the steps are. I have a few PC fonts that I would love to have on my fuze Would you like to explain how to do that?

oops meant to put it in the other forum
Hi guys,
Great work GODZOSON - however just a slight pre-warning to you all: I have tried a few of these fonts so far and some of the tabs don't display correctly.
Currently using the Hands font (It looks awesome !) but it does ruin the weather tab and you cannot see the temperatures on 'Today' - Work around is going into the 5day view and looking at it there.
Maybe the next step is to work out how to hex-edit the font sizes HMMM!
Cheers!

Use WinCE.. It allows you 30 days free trial, you can also you the cab maker made here in xda, all you gotta do is create the ttf for TF3D, then move the files into the cab maker under files and make sure you select windows for final installment.. Once that's done just name the cab, compress it, and save.
Don't forget to share it here.. I'll place it in my post to make it easy to find.. with info on maker of font. take a pic of the screen also.
Here is what can help to make the ttf http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=450335
Hope you all enjoy my fonts.. will have more soon. (friday maybe)
Any chance you could make a Segoe UI For TF3D GODZSON?

After many weeks using my HD2 without any issues, suddenly the fonts of all my start menu shortcuts and folders got very small. No system setting I try to apply seems to change them. I also tried several apps to control font size (ING Font Change, etc) and it changes the sizes of all the fonts on my systems BUT the ones in the start menu that stay small. Is there a way to fix this?... cab with stock fonts, reg mod, or how can the font size be repaired to its proper size again?
Screens attached. Thanks for the input!

The only fonts I've changed were in settings/, personalize/, font size/, Sorry thats all I've changed. It changes in some windows apps.

Hello all,
So I bought a Dell Venue 8 Pro and so far I really like it.
I have managed to configure the desktop so it is readable through some scaling and text sizes. However, the Modern UI is still very small and I am actually getting a little bit of a headache due to small text and tiles.
I have tried to figure out how to change the scaling and the text size but the "Change the size of apps, text, and other items on the screen" is greyed out. I guess this is due to the screen resolution of the device.
But there must be another way to configure this. I have seen some registry keys which is assosiated with the Modern UI but all these only seems to work with Windows 8.
Any thoughts?
No input at all? It must be possible in some way

The only thing that really comes to mind is setting the display resolution lower, but of course that will cost you detail and definition on things that ought to be rendered at high DPI (like text and images).

I came across this on Google and just wanted to drop in and +1 this. I have the desktop configured with 150% scaling, but no settings seem to exist to increase the size of everything in the Modern UI. Hopefully someone else will come across this with some kind of solution. Merry Christmas!
I also bought Venue 8 Pro and find this also the only isue. I was googling a lot and it seems Microsoft requires minimum 1440x1080 resolution for 140% scaling in Windows 8. There is no way or hack for now that can go around this isue:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/apps/hh465362.aspx
Even those hacks with register to make Windows 8 think screen is smaller wouldnt work, because the isue here is resolution not screen size that that hack changes!
Damm Microsoft, why allow tablet makers to use 1280x800 on 8" if you dont support it well!
I Will survive for now, i have good eyes and at least Metro IE browser has its own setting for making at least browsing larger.
This should be a high priority isue, Microsoft is going big with 8" tablets and all the cheap ones Will have 1280x800....
P.S.: 8" Windows 8 tablet still ROCKS. But if possible go buy one with higher resolution(doesnt existt for now).
Edit: I just recalculated the scaling. 1080 height would not help at all, because it is exactly 40% more pixels than 768... So i gues only Microsoft can change this for 8" tablets. Either by making everything bigger(Will make it hard for developers) or more easily by scaling text seperatly.
I've managed to somewhat improve it by scaling Segoe UI font. So now most of Windows UI looks ugly, but more readable.
So what I have now is
1) 150% DPI scale for desktop (Control Panel\Appearance and Personalization\Display)
2) 150% scaled Segoe UI font
Sometimes these 150% overlap (giving 225% total)
To try this:
1) copy attached fonts to your fonts directory without installing it (use .bat file attached and run it as administrator)
2) let windows use new files instead of original ones (run fonts150.reg or fonts125.reg for smaller scaling)
3) sign out - sign in
nice hack

WOW nice hack you have here! Didn't know you can change font size via font files. Great work on TrueType files man!
Would it be hard to also make a 125 version(so it doesnt stand out that much over still smaller UI.)? I think i could like this hack enough for everyday use!
P.S.: the small "f" on keyboard is wrong, and for .bat i would add in begining this line, so it works for everyone: "cd /d %~dp0"

Added 125 fonts. Not sure what "cd /d %~dp0" does though, on my computer it just gives "path not found" error
Oh nice, i find the 125% version looking fairly good on my 8" Dell Venue 8 Pro, that is i find it better than default, no matter the smal distortion it causes.
Thanks!
Let us know if you update your fonts file again.
As for your bat file it shows me error "cannot find the file specified" when i run it. But after i add that cd command(without the citation marks) it works fine for me.. That command is supposed to change the dir to "where you are running your .bat file from", works fine for some other .bat files i have..
Burma, Thanks so much for the workaround. Didn't know there is a base UI font and there is mapping between font name and font file. A 25% increase in text size works wonder. I wonder why MS can't get such trivial thing right.
Now if I can find a way to disable the random zoom in/out while scrolling screen in IE!
I got a cheap EC Technology Bluetooth keyboard for $14 from amazon. It works pretty well and avoid having the onscreen taking up a lot of screen real estate.

Thanks so much Burma for the fix.
I've tried the windows magnifier, and the experience is awful on a tablet (it works great on any laptop)
I also tried reducing the resolution, but the biggest problem with that is the loss of widescreen because all the resolutions below the 1280 x 800 default are 4:3
I'm glad I only paid $250 for this tablet, i'm not enjoying Windows 8.1 on a tablet (like I do on PCs).
