Go google the press releases. Sprint had one with associated press shots, Samsung said so at IFA (IIRC), T-Mobile has the Galaxy Note II on their website (just released last night, no pricing or availability) and AT&T had a conference a week ago where their Note II was handled.

Galaxy S has been discontinued in INDIA, and this fact, i have been looking for one from past 2 weeks for my dev work, though i have allreday 2 phones with me...
here is one of the source... not sure its true or just a fake news... but no stock in BANGALORE

This is probably true. I went to a Croma today (at Mumbai), they were out of stock and they would not comment on when and if new stocks would arrive. They didn't actually say that it's been discontinued, however even the display piece has been removed.
I enquired at our local TheMobileStore & they said that production had stopped & no further stock was expected.
Why would it be phased out to make way for the Nexus S. I thought the nexus was Manufactured by Samsung for Google so they don't actually sell it it's google phone to sell. It could just be though that in India the market appears to be moving over to purchasing the Nexus so its pointless selling the Galaxy there?
i bought mine on dec 15th 2010 . Guess i am one of the last set of lucky owners

Have you not been following the news? Not the Nexus S but the Galaxy S x2 which is being announced at CES on the 6th. The name is not certain but hte phone is. Code will be one of three. I9020, I9200, I9300. Rejoice.

It will be 'obsolete' in 3-6 months once the dual-core phones hit the market. Hehe. I think LG is planning a launch anytime now, Samsung et al will certainly follow.

Does this mean end of new firmwares for SGS?
Hope not. Sonyericsson offer 2 year support so I hope the same goes here. Although samsung have ben a lil more forthcoming with their updates lol.

lol, 2 years. I would bet money for the fact they'll never bring froyo to the x10. SE is best example for how you can make good hardware underperforming at its maximum.

OP, the majority of people in that old thread "In USA: Where to Pre-Order" think this is the Samsung Infuse and not the Samsung Attain yet, in my opinion the AT&T's version of SGS2, because of the first 3 letters. There is no way VZW, Sprint or TMOB are taking that name. Well TMOB could.

That other thread also pointed out that next to it is a MT4G, which someone claimed TMO UK doesn't have.
My wife will kill me when TMOUS gets the sgs2, because I cannot avoid getting it. It's a compulsion.

In the following video I've tried out the Camera which works like on the SIII (it has the zero shutter lag function), browsed the gallery, and tested the new hovering pen function which is really cool! That date is rumored to be the AT&T release date. a rumor is that all US carriers will release their phones at roughly the same time.

Buy developer edition from Samsung.com. They have been taking retail versions and reflashing them to developer edition phones, slapping new stickers on the box and mailing them out.

I got mine from Samsung as well few days ago. There is a new label on the box saying SMN910VMKE but I still the original label underneath with SMN910VZKE model on it. There is no "Developer edition" anywhere - not on the box or phone itself.

I'm gonna say the radio/signal is best fix for me, ive had note 2, which was ok for signal, note 3 was complete garbage, and now note 4 seems to be fixed! So far so good. Let's just hope big red don't screw up stuff in about 6months from now when we finally get 5.0
