yesterday, I have installed the "mi7Rom WP7.8 Edition Nokia Mod by Poloche" from this thread which is working fine. But I noticed some problems with the Spotify app. I'm not able to play a whole playlist (i.e. it stops after one song) and playlists can't be downloaded to be used without internet connection (the download icon appers for a few seconds but nothing happens).
Now I wonder whether this problem is related to the app in general (it is a bit buggy, though) or it has something to do with the 8835 ROM. Does anyone have an idea, workaround or similar observations? Thanks in advance!

I have the same issue before with custom rom running in my htc titan1- mainly not able to download playlist for offline listening. I remember posting this on the titan forum but I didn't really get any solution. Anyway, this issue been resolved with current titan custom roms at least those with ultrashot's Root Manager- just need to grant root access to all applications. Try this and see if works with this custom rom, if Root Manager is not in used try installing Heathcliff's WP7 Root Tools and use this to grant root access to applications. To tell you honestly this doesn't make sense because I thought non-homebrew apps doesn't need root access at all, but this is only what I can think of that might explain why I can now download songs/playlist from Spotify for offline listening. Goodluck.

Answered my own question - I access MAGLDR by holding down the power button as I start the phone up.
Active sync is only necessary when installing the MAGLDR initially.

I am using blazan 2.2.2 of tiad8s. Everything is ok with the build. It is very stable. But i have a problem with skype. I couldn't find it on market so installed using an apk file. After i enter my user name&pass it says "signing in" for a while and wants me to enter my user id&pass again without any warning like "connection error, password error etc."
What can the problem be? Any ideas?

First, if you're having a problem that occurs when using a certain build, you should probably post about your problem in the thread or on the site where you got that build.
But as far as Skype goes, and because you said you used an older apk file, there were a lot of problems with skype for android which they just fixed, like a week ago, so yeah, your older apk won't work.

I haven't tried skype on another android build on my phone so don't know yet if it works with any other android build or not. Maybe any other builds are having the same problem, this is the first reason why i started a new thread. As i said in my first post, i use tiad8's blazn 2.2 build which is really the fastest and the most useful one with every function working. I also asked about the same problem on tiad's website. How the hell do I open it? I use Astro File manager or something to go to the file but I can't install the program on my mobile/SD card >.<

No, the DHD has a protected system which precludes overwriting the system partition so without S-OFF you can not make any permanent changes.

No, but using a newer radio may improve battery life and wifi/Gps reception etc.

No worries!
When I had the wrong Radio my battery drain was 15% an hour and this was with a sense Rom. imo S-OFF is a must.

Actually all of the roms now are running Gingerbread, and sense roms are on sense2.1 (With some sense3.0 elements).
My bad, when I was choosing which rom to load yesterday, everything i read said AR was still 2.2. Must have been old threads.

Haven't tried CM7 but if you haven't already flashed a rom I'd give a big thumbsup for Leedroids GB rom, very quick, stable and flashed like a dream

+1 for this. definitely give LeeDroid a go if you can. admittedly, it's the only custom one i've used to date (and for less than 24 hours at that), but i can't rate it high enough compared to the branded rom i got in the first place. amazing!

There is no error message. I just can't find a 'exe' or AKP file which will install the program on my SD/Mobile.

sorry to hear that. it's news to me, though. i downloaded it (CWM), and used it last night in the process of flashing the rom, no issues. but i understand the whole 'there may be issues, so i think i'll wait - don't want to brick my phone' line of thought. good luck when you get there. i'm sure you'll be fine if you follow the various guides posted on here. they worked an absolute treat for me (and i'm the definition of n00b).

RCmix HD is saying about the same that the wiping isn't working or something.
One last question is there a way to backup you're app's?(Free app's XD) And I am using app's like Pingchat and Whatsapp will I lose the contacts in there?

So basically I'm screwed? Since I need to downgrade to root, and to backup you need to have root >.< but when you downgrade you lose everything xD

If you want to back up the new GB OTA ROM then yes but if you just want to back up your apps then No, you don't need root.
Titanium works with root but doesn't need it. Also, if you ticked to let Google keep a backup then your apps will be re-downloaded when you next perform a wipe.

One word for you: Linux.
At the risk of high jacking this thread, have you installed HTC Sync? Can you connect to HTC Sync? If not, try another USB port (if using front port use back ports or vice-versa). If none work uninstall HTC Sync and reinstall it after rebooting PC.
If that works when you are in adb (making sure USB Debugging is on) try

I flashed your fix for 6.2 ARHD, and the fonts look nice, I think the ones on the other fix were actually nicer, but doesn't really matter.
Anyway, the pull to the right side works on the SMS and on Gmail, but not on all the widgets like people widget, Calender widget, but does work on others like Gtasks and Go SMS widgets.

If you have the fonts that you need you can just download the zip file and replace the fonts in the /system/fonts folder.
And don't forget to delete the other folders so it will not do the RTL fix (/system/framework and /system/lib).
And in anycase do a nanodroid backup first, who knows what could happen.

First time , when i had started with the hack-ace.cmd i received an error .."tracklist" missing...
I saw this problem at the xda , and i needed to download the tracklist.rar pack and unpack it .
I need to start the rooting whith the hack-ace.cmd or hack-ace-xph.cmd ?

Sorry man but I never used the ace kit to root a device I used some guide a long time ago (don't even remember which one).
have you tried to google this, I don't think you are the first one to have problem rooting a device.

I flashed the one for 6.2..0, over mike's 6.3.1 version and so far it works pretty well.
Question is do you think it would cause issues, an if so, would simply flashing your recent work just resolve it?

Actualy I don't think there is not much difference between the two versions because it's Basicly the same base, but I just wanted to be on the safe side and recompile the fix using the files from the new ROM.
Anyway if it's working for you now I don't think there will be any problem with it later on but you can flash on top of it the new version if you like.
And don't worry about the updates I'm a user myself so I just upload what I'm using

Installed on Virtuous Affinity 2.0.5 and confirm that the patch works and solves some issues, for instance in Waze roads numbers are finally shown in correct manner, i.e. like 123 instead of 321 as it was before. Thank you very much!
The only remaining problem after the patch was installed is Music application that doesn't show albums/songs/singers names in Hebrew fonts, but uses default locale fonts (Russian in my case). If somebody can help to solve this last problem it will be greatly appreciated.

Well the fix should work on every rom from the same android build on theory.
But I used the files from the ARHD Rom so I just wanted to be safe, because I don't know if the original file was change in other roms.

And for that problem maybe you can find and install a different font that support both Hebrew and Russian.

We always try to launch it in the day that the rom to the official Chinese DesireZ comes out and if all goes well a few hours later.
cant delete songs in music player. I get FC.
I have to flash this rom with english miui player apk to work.

I think there is no way to make it disappear but for me it just appears when i connect to usb or when e install the rom.
Will try to remove it but i think is not possible.

Just updated the link in first post.
You don't need to dowload the rom every week, because there is an app in the rom that like i say in first post updates the rom easilly.

Hmmm, thats strange, i will try to solve it but my computer is not working so i'm very limited, but will try to fix it soon.

I hope my gps gets fixed. My phone was not able to find my location. I was in Lisbon and it lock the sinal somewhere in North (la bem po Norte), or like today locked the location somewhere in lisbon and I was not there.

hi I want to suggest one thing that would be very handy for those who use mp3 player a lot.
1) I have the option to unlock with volume keys, but while playing music with it locked its not convenient because I want only to vollume up and down. that means when playing volume keys do not unlock the phone.
1.5) long press volume keys will change track forward or backward. that would be very nice and dont need to unlock to change music.
just a suggestion I dont know is this implies to change the concept of this rom, but its very handy for those who listen music a lot! thanks

That's a suggestion for MIUI.com, only they can make that kind of changes.

i would very much like to try your Rom but i folowed all your steps on first page ana still can´t turn wifi on, allways turns out an error
i had a problem like that with other Rom a wille ago and deleting the wpa.suplicant solved, but in this case it don´t...
any other idea ?
I factory reseted my device, flash´d rom, let the fone start, then factory reseted again, reinstaled rom... like 2 or 3 times and still nothing
