DISCONTINUED. New updates on this THREAD
Hello!
I'm parasmi from the Galaxy Mini Forum.
Just want to share this mod to the Galaxy Ace users
This mod adds customization to statusbar clock, battery, and signal. It also includes Battery Bar and will enable you to change statusbar background color and transparency (needs root access). It's accessible via Setings > Statusbar Tweaks
I don't have an Ace but I tested it on my phone using your DDKQ8 firmware. No guarantee in will work on other firmwares.
As always, flash at your own risk! Backup is a must!
Credits:
RomanBB for Statusbar Tweaks sources
pvyParts for additional Statusbar Tweaks sources and Battery Bar
Screenshots (taken from my ROM) HERE and HERE
@ROM cooks - if you will use this in your ROM, please give proper credit and add a link to this post.
Enjoy!
Installation notes:
-Again, your firmware should be DDKQ8
-You should know if you have an odex or de-odex firmware
-You only need to install 1 zip file from the attachment. It will depend if you are using CWM or Stock Recovery AND if you have an odex or de-odex system
If the zip file doesn't work, try manual installation -
1. Extract the contents of the appropriate zip file
2. Using Root Explorer, copy the extracted APKs to your phone's /system/app/ folder. Override files if prompted
3. Set permissions as attached
4. Reboot
5. To use custom fonts, create a folder /system/TEAM/font/ and place any font file a rename it to 'clock_font.ttf'. Set permissions as attached
Reserve just in case
hey
im uisng ddkq8 on ace and the 3 rd app from your list does not install via cm 5.some advise?

Adding other firmwares in the next few days. I'll also try to throw-in the 15 toggle mod as well.
Thanks!
EDIT:
By the way, can someone confirm if flashing via Stock Recovery works? Thanks!

I'm on Stocklite V.6.
Flashing via CWM....mount system e data....working good...no problem !!!!
Great job bro !!!!
Thanks.
does this have the battery bar like honey comb ???
I use Lovetz's Odexed CyanogenMod 7.2-cooper-KANG-RC1-Android 2.3.7 on DDKQ8, and installed this in a hurry (cause I've been hungering for transparent status bar for a long time). But after reboot, I lost settings option from the menu. As you adviced, I used odex patch and its an odexed Rom over DDKQ8 base, so whats wrong? Its not for CM7?
Hello,
I tried reading some tutorials to make swipe to remove notifications for my status bar. But Im always getting FC's even I implement it correctly. Im not sure what went wrong, I tried multiple times but could not do it.
Heres my framework-res.apk, framework.jar and system UI link:
http://www.mediafire.com/?y6j6wt9z997iw7n
I would appreciate if anyone can add it to my status bar or provide a appropriate tutorial so that I can do it myself.
Thanks for your time.
Regards,
- Hitme987!
Try my framework with ur systemUI. I think u wrong while mod framework.jar.
Thanks shock. I'll check later.
But, my framework.jar only work with baseband DXL(x)
Yay. It's working. Thanks a lot shock.
Is it working with deodex stock rom?

Hello frends default lockscreen pattern of cm7 is very ugly.so i modify the layout to lock more nice.
Ics lockscreen parttern
lG3.0 lockscreen parttern
Great Work !!! Thanks
Excellent work! It's a pity that trying it on Ginger Snap gave me boot loops, though.
For anyone else on GS 2.1 who has run into this same problem, you can fix it by flashing GS 2.1's framework-res.apk from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=31761820&postcount=4544

Hey guys, Been working on my rom for the S4..
Although I cant seem to get systemUI to recompile.. Has anyone had any success doing so ? If so what are you using ?
EDIT: To clarify, Im attempting to recompile the google edition SystemUI.apk.
Came across the following thread: HERE.
Explains that by deleting both system_bar_settings_view.xml" and "system_bar_notification_panel_title.xml" from the layout folder your able to recompile, then re-adding them back manually to the .apk.

4.2.2
i got it to recompile when i changed the battery icon of m3ddog's 4.2.2 GE ROM. i just did SOP, using apk multitool. it should work
Since we're talking about SystemUI.apk... any way of porting the TouchWiz feature of showing the status bar even in fullscreen?
I know there are apps that display a statusbar, but the problem is that it's just opening an app - you have to "multitask" back after. Samsung's one runs as an overlay and you don't exit the app you're currently in. Try it in Plants vs Zombies or any other app that doesn't support running in the background.

Anyone have any idea why I don't have Caller ID by Google on 4.4.2 (latest CyanogenMod 11 nightly)?
I thought it may have been my Gapps package, but I tried flashing the PA Complete Stock Gapps package from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2397942 but I still don't seem to have it?
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks

If you can find a flashable one that is easy, otherwise to need GoogleDialer.apk, GoogleDailer.odex(unless you can find a deodexed version), Teleservice.apk/ and telephonyprovider.apk
With Root Explorer copy GoogleDialer.apk, GoogleDialer.odex, and TeleService.apk to system/priv-app and set perrmissions to rw-r-r
then copy TelephonyProvider.apk to system/app and set permissions ro rw-r-r and reboot
