[MOD] AROMA BootMenu | MoltenMotherBoard (08/10/2012 16:54) - Galaxy Ace S5830 Android Development

GENERAL INFO:It's an Amarullz project, related to AROMA project.
It was simple booting menu. It shows 3 simple menu before you boot into your android environment:
* Boot Normally - Boot to Android OS normally
* Recovery - Boot to Recovery
* Bootloader - Boot to Bootloader
That's an elementar version, that who wants, can modify as he wants.
It was potentially become useful tools if we can configure it for our needed, maybe we can add menu like: zip align before boot, fix permission before boot, boot to safe mode, etc. Or maybe even dual rom boot if it possible.
Anyone who wants to participate and say something about the development, contact us to: [email protected]
Please, keep this topic clear! I'll answer only for questions about developing. About others, please write to me at PM!
I'm not responsible for any damage to your phone! When you're installing this rom, you're also accepting these conditions!

Builded for Gio, but also work on Ace. Tested, dont worry !
Sent from my GIO running DebianDroid LENNY

Just tested this on my ace. Works great. No problems at all. Very nice concept. I dont need to press any key combo to boot into recovery mode anymore. Thanks a lot. It would be great if you guys can add an option to boot into download mode.

Works great, well not that great because for me, all 3 options are booting into Android.

Really? I dont think so. I tried thrice but my ace didnt boot into download mode.
---------- Post added at 08:49 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:48 PM ----------
Bug - Takes a lot of time to go to normal boot screen once I tap on first option.
Rom - CM10.

It should boot, but I tried all 3 options and they all boots into Android.

Eh? Which rom?
Try wiping cache and dalvik cache.

I'm on stock ROM (Adrenaline ROM) and what I get is every option boot into android.

If it takes a long time to load isn't a real bug, cause when you touch the AndroidOS button, it starts automatically loading all scripts and rom data, so it taks long time.
It depends on your running rom...
-----EDIT:
The 3 same options seems to be an Ace (only) problem. Do you ALL have this problem? Because maybe the problem is that all Ace users have different executing files...

It fully works with me.

[FIX] Notification blur in MiniCM10

Hello guys this is a fix for notification blur in MiniCM10. I tested it and it's working fine.
Instructions:
1) Open build.prop and add this line: debug.hwui.render_dirty_regions=false (i put this line under debug.enabletr)
2) Make sure that debug.enabletr is set on false (debug.enabletr=false)
3) Save and reboot
4) Enter CWM and wipe cache and dalvik cache
5) Reboot
NOTE: this is not my work. I'm just sharing what i have found on github.

Bluetooth Fix for CyanogenMod 10.1 [4.2.2]

I am not responsible if you mess up your phone.
Tested to work on:
CM 10.1.1 - v6.0 coldblue_
Mokee 42.2RC4 (MoonLightV1.3.133q, MoonLightV1.3.135b, MoonLightV1.3.136)
Attention! After install fix at MoonLightV1.3.133q is necessary to do a wipe data/factory reset.
Testing for image sharing, so that does not guarantee full service.
Bluetooth works for me at CyanogenMod 10.1 version 12 by ilyaaa299. Only do not know how to fix
Thank to jegr6 for coldblue_BT and inspiration.
Thanks ( díky)

just tested this fix in Mokee rom and didn't work.
Bluetooth turns on but can't see or be seen by other devices.
What I did:
- Installed Mokee
- reboot and follow the android setup
- then went to CWM again and flashed the fix
- after flash I did wipe data/factory reset and reboot.
Did I do something wrong?

just tested this fix also in Coldblue CM10_V6 rom and didn't work either
Again, BT turns on but can't see or be seen by other devices.
What I did:
- Installed CM10_V6
- reboot and follow the android setup
- then went to CWM again and flashed the fix and rebooted
Am I doing something wrong or the phones where this fix did worked have something special that mines doesn't?

Yeah. Just grab CameraNext.apk from Apps/Themes Section and install it normally. Worked for me.
I have one major problem with this ROM (and specifically with MIUI). I can't get Bluetooth working in my Ford Focus. I get it to intially connect, but then Bluetooth on the phone force closes. I've had issues with this in the past with MIUI, so I don't know how to fix it. :\

guys you need to unmount system before you flash otherwise the updater script will fail.

I'm using it right now. No real problems noticed so far except for a couple of crashes at first boot. It's really smooth. Pure AOSP.
Yes very pure.
Strange cant get into recovery anymore
Does anyone know if they're using the same sources as Cyanogen? (It had a weird name. CM started to suck when they started using it.)
Or is it PURE AOSP?

I think you need to reflash recovery when you install it, which is easy to do from fastboot.
I did that. But even then i was not able to enter recovery
very very different modem, compared it against all the five I've got here (not all the previous modems) and can't see anything like it.

2 ways to fix:

2. use newer make.f2fs version

New version with fixed f2fs format of /data online.
Hello there. I just noticed that I can't boot into Recovery anymore. This seems to happen after migrated to f2fs /data and /cache using last version (08/09/15).
I tried re-flashing another TWRP build, also did a "fastboot erase recovery", both make on difference.
Any idea?

Sorry for my late.
Probably not the same cause, I got the issue since RR 5.5.2, and I used M5 kernel which doesn't have this issue.
It seems more related to f2fs filesystem, same RR 5.5.2, it appears only after migrated to f2fs.
out of curiosity I let the phone stay at stuck splash screen, see if any miracle.
Guess what, it boots into TWRP after 60-70s... I did a few trials it all boots after 6-70s. Strange enough.
hi thanks for your work!
after changing the fs on /data or /system or /cache TWRP cannot mount them.. :/
UPDATE: it was kernel-related. sorry! i flashed M5 and the fs is retained
