No need. You can transfer your backup to your new sdcard and place it in clockworkmod/backup.

Hi mate apparently there is a new update from Samsung coming in the weeks ahead and enables apps to ext sd card
http://www.androidcentral.com/moving-apps-sd-card-samsung-galaxy-s4
Saves messing with your phone, if you can wait for firmware update.
I already have flashed that firmware.. but i am looking for a tweak to swap internal sd for ext sd ??

Nandroid saved to device

I was backing up my stock rom and for some reason (probably my fault) it saved to my internal memory instead of sd card. Can I simply move it over using file explorer? Any help?

Yes, you can just move it over. You can use the stock my files app if you'd like.

Does sdcard gets formated after swap partation

If you create a 2nd partition with swap in cwm your sd card will be formatted - always backup data first before partitioning
copy all your sd card folders & files to your pc then copy them back after partitioning
I want to do partation for increasing ram

So yes, it will get wiped. Also, it would b good to make a ext partition too if ur probably using swap to run more apps. Meaning more storage.

Hi,
Are you trying to wipe your data in order to install a new ROM?
Or are you trying to format your sd card?
They are 2 different things.

Hi,
You want to go into recovery.
Mount and storage.
Format external sd.
Make sure you back up your stuff first.
Why would I format ext sd? That woukd be my micro sd memorycard

That's what you asked for in your post "just the sd card"
In s4 there is 2 storage areas internal storage and external storage which is the sd card...

@cameracartwright
If you want to format your internal SD card using PhilZ CWM do the following:
Mounts and storage/ format SD card.
However there is no need if you install an app from Play Store called SDMaid, it's awesome!!
Go to 'corpse finder' and it cleans out your phone of left over crap from previous apps and roms
