Please i am a newbie and have been around for some time reading through the forums and i recently got an lg gt540 and i wanted to install a custom rom. i first installed elegance 2.1 rom and everything was ok but i wanted to try 2.3 roms. So i got sdsl v3 bt whenever i start it i keep on getting force close errors till i turn wireless and gsm network reception off. can u pls show me what i may be doing wrong? i have also tried sdsl v2.1 with .29 kernel bt still with the same results.Please help

ive tried fixing permissions and ive also tried wiping cache but it still keeps on giving me the force close errors

ive finally been able to get it working. it was actually a problem with my sim card so i had to replace it. tnx guys for all the help

Got this phone from a friend and according to the software version it's running Gingerbread, on boot it's telling me it's Swift Droid, Cyanogen mod 7..
I'm very new to all this so I have no clue what this means but the touch screen is off calibration and I can't find the option to recalibrate it..

Wipe System on phone, Don't reboot, and install Minicm from Sdcard(if you reboot you brick your phone)

sometimes reboot automatically,especially after using Root Explorer
i had flashed an incompletely downloaded rom[that i didnt know] ......
after that am getting reboots even on most stable ARHD .............
Now am on ARHD 7.0.4 .....
reboots wont come continously.....
.the phone may work for one or 2 days without any reboots.....
it may reboot during charging , while surfing in internet etc.....no particular situation for it to come........
need help please.......................

I got a new phone and I want to use my huawei for testing roms etc. But I reinstalled GB and it wouldn't boot up only if i'm going to the stock recovery then wipe data. Then i'm in GB and if I reboot I need to wipe data again so I cant install aurora because GB doesn't work and its really annoying

Froyo works but when I install GB the same thing happens.

Didn't work
I dont actually understand. What happens when you boot your phone in GB?
It booted like any other phone but if I do a reboot or shutdown then I got a bootloop I can only boot then if I wiped data via stock recovery.
But I tried install CWM that worked
Then I flashed aurora but the only problem is that I cant connect the signal falls down and I keeps saying connecting

Try another custom rom, like MIUI.
Didn't work. It think its because of the GB version I installed. I dont know witch one it was but I'm going to try another GB version and see if that was the problem

Few days ago my camera stopped working... what I see is:
Camera failed
ErrorMessageHandler.handleMessage (-1)
What I tried:
-wiping everything
-reflashing rom
-reflashing kernel
-flashing stock rom with odin
Now I am using stock rom, previously I used Monochromatic
What can I do about it ?

Galaxy y isn't really my phone, it's my brothers and i am trying to solve this mystery... he told me that he was using qr code reader before it happend... did u use it too ?

NO,its a hardware issue
Follow This guide by me or just wipe cache and dalvik cache....Hope it works \
If this doesnt work then you can check the hardware...
Phone cannot activate the camera for some reason if reflashing fails its a hardware issue. Just try to check it with your nearest service Centre
