Rogers Restore - Galaxy Tab 10.1 General

I flashed CM9 but don't really like it - is there any way to restore back to Rogers default settings? Does anyone have a ROM for the default factory settings?

did you not make a nand. backup????

You should when you took a nandroid backup. Something that should always be done just for cases like this.
If not then sammobile.com should have your stock ROM to flash.

Rom Questions

Hey Guys, sorry if this has been covered before but I have been reading these forums since I got my Fascinate on launch day and am still confused. I am rooted with clockwork installed and I have flashed some roms but never kept any on, always just restored with clockwork. Also I have DJ05 on my phone.
1) Is there a way flash a rom and not lose all of my apps and the way my phone is set up. I like the way Super dark looks in the screen shots but don't have time to set my phones up again. Is what I want a theme?
2) Another issue I have is that I like the way samsung has the puzzle piece for texts and missed calls on the lock screen that take me right to my messages, are there any roms that have that incorporated.
Thanks for the help
Sal
1. You can use titanium pro to back up your apps. If you are using launcher pro it will save all your settings as well so it will be the same setup. You could also just install a theme which if you do that there is not a need to erase cache/data and you lose nothing.
2. I do believe you can install the puzzle lock screen if you wish, but don't quote me

You don't have to wipe data when you flash a rom. While it is recommended, I wait to see if I have issues after the flash before wiping.

Well there ya go, I thought it was basically a must.
Yes, you can flash a rom. Just flash the theme again after the new rom is flashed.
If you look in cwm, look under blackhole rom. There are different stock options that you can individually select to update. The puzzle unlock is one of the .zip's that are ready to be flashed.
Thanks for the replies guys. I'm gonna try them out tonight after work. I backed up with titanium backup using dropbox last night. So I'm ready to go with the roms.

Just one more question regarding the puzzle lock. Do I have to have blackhole installed to use it or can I have like super dark or any other rom or theme with it?
Thanks again for the help

[Q] De-brand At&T Atrix

has anyone ever tried flashing their AT&T phone with a retail fw? I am planning to flash mine with the newly uploaded HK retail FW. has anyone tried fiddling with it? thanks!

Why you wanna do that ?
You want to delete AT&T apps? just root your device and freeze\uninstall them with Titanium Backup.
Good list: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=972459
As long as you flash faux kernel, I believe it should be fine.

@ofek: yes to the apps deletion plus i dont like seeing the AT&T boot up.
@polaris: is it really necessary to flash the faux kernel? sorry for the noob question.

Because you cannot use boot.img from international on AT&T set. I never tried AT&T boot.img combine with international system.img.

Don't delete AT&T apps. Just freeze them with TiBu. Deleting could give you undesirable results.
Best way to get rid of them completely is to flash a ROM which is debloated such as Aura, or which simply has none of them like CM7. If the ROM you use has any apps you don't want, freezing is the better option.

[Q] Stock kernel?

I was thinking about installing a new kernel on my KF capable of OC but wanted to have the Stock Kernel before doing anything in case I want to return to stock. Can anyone direct me towards it? I tried looking around for it in the dev section but was not able to find it.
Thanks.

Just make a backup, that way you can restore your stock setup(kernel) if needed.
Yea I created a back up already. So when you restore it also restores the kernel? I didn't know that thanks!

You can also just wipe cache and dalvik and flash your rom over itself and get everything back to stock except your data(apps & settings)

[Q] Forgot to do a Backup

I forgot to do a backup before I installed CM 10.1. The install was successful but I would now like to go back to stock so I can use the GPS. Is there somewhere that I can get a stock rom or reset back to the default?
My phone is a U.S. Cellular S4 (R970).
Thanks.

Flashing custom rom- does it wipe modem?

I recently switched from rogers to wind, and to do so, I needed to enable the two extra frequencies for penta band, which I have already done.
This said, I worry that if I flash a custom rom, it will wipe my modem and I won't be able to connect to wind's network anymore.
I do have a backup of the original via QPST, but would like to know before messing anything up.
Thanks!
Flashing a Rom does not touch the modem. It may mess up your apn settings though so if you have problems make sure they're set up correctly.
