Hmm, usually the Windows 7 drivers work fine for me. Try those?

Yes. Naturally. Downloaded the drivers from HTC and tried to run them. First as user then as Admin then on compatibility mode both letting the OS decide on best mode and then manually choosing both windows 7/Vista and XP on SP2-3
Non seems to work.
It's the full version (MSDN version) and it's x64 version
Thanks

I've found this instruction:

but it is 2 years old!
do you have new HTC drivers under Windows 7 which work with USPL 2.5?
now my WMDC works great but USPL 2.5 shows: "no response from device"

are you running on x64 Windows 7?
if so, you need to disable signature driver enforcement check, at the bootup.
not yet. it's 32bit. I'm waiting for my Sony OEM Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit.
but I'm asking for the newest drivers that will work with my Windows 7 WMDC and with USPL 2.5...
I'm afraid that these drivers are out of date or simply, not work OK with my Windows 7
Am I wrong?
Have you even tried?
Have you read the wiki on using USPL with Windows Vista/7?
Hi
i have win 7 32bit too and you can install the drivers like Vista. It is the same way.

1. No, I haven't. Because I can't understand how 2 years old drivers can work better with Windows 7 than original Windows 7 drivers?
2. Yes, I have. If old drivers from point 1. won't mess my Windows 7 I can try. But I don't want to reinstall my operating system because I experiment with some old HTC drivers...
Anyone have good or bad experience with that old drivers under Windows 7? Do they work fine with USPL and with Wintows 7 WMDC?

Thay work FINE under Windows 7 32bit Pro No Problem easy install the same like Vista.
OK, I've replaced USB drivers.
But I used this version of wceusbsh.inf instead of wiki's.
My version of USB driver is:
4.5.5086.0
and wiki version is:
4.0.4232.0
So it is a big difference, I think.
I can confirm that on version 4.5.5086 WMDC and USPL work fine...
I used Win7 64bit Ultimate edition + HSPLWrapper_Blackstone_156OliNex.zip and it worked all great via Mobile Center.
Hey.I have a question.How could i install windows mobile true windows 7?

I think he meant when the retail version of Windows 7 comes out on October 22nd...The windows XP virtualization mode will be available for download off of the Microsoft website then...
All this assuming that you are running the RC1...Im running the same and ive had problems as well sooo im hoping that windows 7 XP mode fixes that...
i'm using full version of windows 7 but whatever...
I found a windows vista installer and there was no error's,but it don't connect to the device when it's in bootloader mode. It's connects to the pc,but the installers shows that there is connection problem..
but even with the full version of window7 ultimate one still have to download and install windows XP virtualization mode
to get xp mode to work
where to get that virtualization mode?
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtual-pc/download.aspx
thx.it worked.

Then you shouldn't need one. Just plug the phone in and mount it and Win7 should find the drivers! Edit: I have Win7 64bit too, and it worked flawlessly for me!

what you need to do is plug it in, go to the notification bar on the top of the phone, slide it down and choose mount usb. it will automatically all be done.

should work... i plugged it in, installed pc companion. i think pc companion downloaded the missing drivers for me.
you can try to install pc companion. it should work.
As already said you shouldn't need them. I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate x64 and didn't have to download extra drivers for my phone to work.
Same as XperiaX10iUser.
I'm using win 7 pro 64bits. I don't need to install any driver for the usb. BUT for rooting my X10, I have done it on my windows server with java 32 bits version. The java 64 bits version on my win 7 doesn't permit to root my phone.
I'm using w7 64 bits and don't need any driver installation, it does it everything by its own
I have a folder for android stuff like fastboot and adb that I keep for fixing my phone. I keep the minimum files required for fastboot to work... adb.exe, adbwinapi.dll, fastboot.exe and the 64bit usb drivers.
I used to be able to use fastboot even after formatting my computer (and reinstalling the drivers), but it's been a long time and when I tried to do the same again, it no longer works.
Windows says the driver is not compatible with the device. I download Android SDK Tools to download the usb drivers there. They install, but fastboot still doesn't detect the phone.
I tried following tutorials out there to get fastboot to work, but I tried on 2 HTC Dreams and they don't get detected. What am I missing?
Only thing I remember being different is that I'm using Windows 7 x64 SP1 now and before I was using plain Windows 7 x64.
You need to use the usb driver removal tool and install the usb driver from SDK.
yes you've got my same trouble.
this is my thread.. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1032249
i solved with backtrack 3.. don't ask me why because i don't know.. i just have a try with bt3 because i use bring it with me on my pendrive (it can ever be useful )

The old drivers I had were never installed. For some reason, Windows did not recognize a compatible driver. I did download a fresh set of drivers from SDK and windows did install them, but fastboot devices is not listing anything.

I see no reason why I can't use fastboot on Windows if it worked before. Perhaps if there is no other way, I'll try Linux distros.
It sound like there is no compatible driver for Windows 7 x64 SP1. Check google to see may be they might have an updates.

So there is an actual difference between win7 and sp1 in regards to the drivers and not that I set it up wrong?
From my experience on working with Windows. Every version always different. As far as how much different, I can't tell.
If you had it working with W7 before SP1, then there is a change in driver that causing it not to work correctly. Do you required to upgrade to W7 SP1? Or is that your preference?

Well that's all I can think of. Just wanted to know if anyone else had problems with sp1. I think faastboot should work with my winxp vms.. gonna try that next time I try to use fastboot..
Is there a software that check all my drivers and tells me which drivers are windows 8 drivers and which ones are windows 7 because I really want all my drivers to be windows 8 so to ensure no problems.
Also a software that can fix anything that causes a computer to crash?
