A now OTA update just popped up on my Galaxy Note II.
Size of the OTA : 9.54 MB
Downloading right now , not sure if this small of an update will bring Multi-View.

Nope.
I doubted it in the first place as the update size was too small to bring a feature like that.
Couldn't find anything new after update .
Where can we view the change log of this new update ?

Yes it is LJ1, but OTA for india is just 9MB so can't say it will have split view in little update. though waiting for confirmation.

Samsung India sucks at giving updates.
At least all Non-branded\Non-Carried-locked devices should get update at the same time worldwide.
Finally major update with MultiView is available on Kies.

Note : This update showed up on Kies once I updated 9 MB update via OTA.
Not only Multiwindow( Press back button continuously when at home screen ) also Screen Recorder ( Long press Home buton ) missing in Indian version
To sum this thread up there is an ota update..
After updating there is yet newer Rom to download from kies and you get multi screen??

Yes after updating the 9mb one, some time later another update of 33mb available thru fone itself. Kies not needed. And that update has MultiWindow! But ScreenRecorder still not available. Dunno if its available for other/international version.

I think only some bugs fixes.I think this is the first update to thinkfree office eversince we bought this phone.They should provide changelog

I can confirm that version number did not change after update, however when I check for update after installing the update it says ' already the latest version'

Have a P3100 and flashed DDLF2 from samfirmware.
Few days later got an update pop up i.e DDLF3 4.0.4. Its really very smooth amd fast.
Few changes that i loved is the improved browser, smooth screen transition,
picture editor is simply awesome, nice battery life. And finally an option to change the
screenshot icon.
Let me know if i missed something.

Downloaded the firware from samfirmware and flashed it through odin. I know OTA and kies update wont help.

I am new here, just got galaxy tab 2, p310 from Pune, India, it comes with ICS 4.0.3, I tried the OTA update from device but it says there is no update ... can any pls pls post simple steps with download links to flash to latest 4.0.4 ROM manually ? I never used ODIN etc so few details will help
also after manually update will the tab have the touchwix or will be vanilla ICS ? what else will I loose ?

You should get the OTA update! I too got my tab2 last week, and as soon as i added an account and connected to a Wi-Fi network,i was asked to update which i did !

I just checked the OTA and it say "No Update Availabe"....
pls wait let the experts install this update this is OTA for the dev. mainly might damage your note so pls wait for the expert advice

I am on Cracks ICS v14 custom rom. May be that is german or some other csc.
So far I can tell these features
- new launcher (like the Galaxy S3)
- new gallery with fancy 3D effects
- new contact list
- new folder handling
- pop-up video can now be resized
- slightly changed contact list layout
- you can now save contacts in the S-Clound (like google contacts)
- performance improved!
- added camera motion for lockscreen - settings -> display (only works with wipe lockscreen)
- added S-Cloud (there is no dedicated App but after flashing you will be asked if you want to sycn all your settings with samsung)
- added new motion: call contact currently displayed if you raise the phone

Has the auto brightness issues been fixed like the official 4.1.1 for P3110?

Runs quite well, but I have to admit I can't see a great difference (project butter?).
The battery performances seem to be excellent, and (even if it looks strange to me) I see also better wifi signal.
You have to get used to the phablet UI: in the beginning it was shocking and I was seriously thinking of going back to Ics, but the more you try it and the more you like it.

I didn't upgrade my system, I flashed with full wipe/factory reset (and clear cache and dalvik cache)

Must a full wipe require before flashing this new firmware? From what you've mentioned, this update can use on regions like Asia? I'm from Singapore btw.
Update - Just flashed this firmware over my 4.0.4 using Odin after doing a full wipe. Now trying to root as I've many appz which need root.

Everything works except the gallery and in the Russian T9 dialer (solved third-party software)
taskkiler built-happy, though it harsh ... solved by tweaking the menu
