Good so far...
Hello all,
I just flashed this zip and so far the phone seems faster...
If I encounter any problems I will let you know...
PS: For those of you who are unsure which version to use on our device, it's the HDPI version
EDIT: I also think the problem with the softkeys backlight is fixed with this!

So i can only flash zip via recovery? No anymore?

As for the battery life, I really can't say anything yet.
But I'm using Aurora 4.1.1a too and the flashing process worked well.
It's nice to finally see something using the very cool aroma installer on our phone.

Is aurora ICS stock based ice cream sandwich or aosp based ice cream sandwich?

Well I've been using it since yesterday and I didn't notice any improvement in battery life but I was using the smartassV2 governor and I think this tweak was made to work with ondemand (please correct me if I'm saying something dumb).
Just changed to ondemand so let's see how it goes.

No i think you're right because i read ondemand governor aswell. Let's see if on demanda saves battery and we might not need to use smartassv2(we all know that if the freq is too low, when it wakes up from deep sleep it takes a while to load...)

Further investigating, the permissions in init.d folder are wrong, so scripts installed there aren't being run, we have to change them to not only read and write, but run too.
Second, SQLite scripts made Gmail, browser and music always crash, had to delete all those and restore data of those three apps with titanium...
Third, something messed up media scanner, now on sound settings, my sdcard ringtones don't appear anymore, even forcing a scan haven't worked yet, will wait a little more. Maybe it ways the sqlite scripts again, don't know. If that doesn't fix by itself, will restore a cwm backup and install the tweaks again without those sqlite ones to see if that's the problem.

[Fix][JB]How to fix black screen after installing JellyBean[Recovery}

Hey all,
Many of you have problems when installing various flavors of Android 4.1+. This is the solution to you tablet being stuck at a black screen after installing an Jelly Bean ROM. The solution is actually quite simple: Your recovery version is obsolete (old). In order to get JellyBean working (unless there is some other problem) is to use this recovery for the GT-7310
http://www.mediafire.com/?b2pbv065k51zqy6
Flash it in your current cwm
I'll find a 7300 version in a while.....
GT-P7300: http://www.mediafire.com/?z4xoxajadhflybj
I had no problems flashing CM10 with 5.5.0.4, so it can't be true for all. But it might well work for some roms.

Something is going on with that version of CWM. When i do a backup its size is only 14.5MB. That definitely does not look right to me. Is anyone else getting the same?

Pimp my Rom

Just thought I would ask what everyone thinks about the app Pimp My Rom... I've started using it but not sure if it's helping or not...
Generally it seems like its come a long way (in my eyes anyway)
I've been following it from the beginning and can say that the dev is very consistent and follows through if any problems come up
Also seen most, if not all, of the tweaks work well or as intended

"Pimp My Rom" is a very good app for making your phone run smoother,Androguide.fr,seems to update this app daily, which is a good thing, keeps it bug free, but you should'nt use all of the tweaks at the same time, trust me it will make the phone bootloop, some of the tweaks wont work on the OG,just be careful and backup first.

It wouldn't boot into the rom. You would get a continuous loop of the splash screen, and/or the boot animation. In which case you would need to restore a nandroid.

Thanks... This is off topic but real quick how do I install this radio combo update... EVO_Radio_2.15.00.08.08_WiMAX_27243_PRI_NV_2.15_00 3
Make sure your s-off, download the radio combo, make sure it's named PC36IMG.zip exactly, boot into bootloader and when it asks you to update, press volume up.

Why did you want to go to older radios anyway? The newest are 2.15.00.12.19 I believe. And I'm not sure why it didn't update that's strange.

And remember to either delete the pc36img zips or move them off the root of your sd card, or else everytime you boot into the bootloader it will ask you to update

Generally it seems like its come a long way (in my eyes anyway)
I've been following it from the beginning and can say that the dev is very consistent and follows through if any problems come up
Also seen most, if not all, of the tweaks work well or as intended
