I lost my Galaxy S3 on asphalt from around 60cm height, and it cracked the silver bezel all the way to edge, so the screen remained untouched.
What would a fix for this cost, can I RMA it? (I live in Norway) or will it be like this forever, I could live with it easily, but fixing it would be really nice.

Yes, you can use Repair Center. But it was damaged by you, so you must paid the bill for sure.
If it works fine and if you haven't cracked the screen/digitazer, it will cost about 75-100$ depending this time necessary to fix it.
Accessories section and EBay are two places to look .

Hi wise people of XDA (I really mean it.)
A few days back I dropped my precious phone while riding my scooter 70 km/h.
Now I agree that we own a REAL SOLID DEVICE. But unfortunetely my SGS3 couldn't stand much against this drop and I cracked my screen glass. Any way, I contacted my local authorized service here in Turkey and they told me the price would be around 275 euros since the glass is not changeable by itself and comes along with the amoled display and the touch unit. So doesn't sound reasonable to me. I attached photos as well in the messages so can anyone help me about the problem. I found single glass through shopping sites but afraid to change it myself and I don't know if it will work??

From what I have seen it looks hard to just replace the glass
Samsung dont make just the glass. The display, digitizer and glass are all made as one contained unit.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
That is bad, man :/ I'm sorry for ya. But the price is sh*t , for real. It's just too expensive. Just take a look on ebay. There are some offers with prices about 180 euros, what is a real price drop compared to your offer.
And actually it isnt that difficult to change the display. I did it on my galaxy s1, was really hard. But on the s3 it wont be that difficult, cause the unit that is sold is almost complete, touch sensors, hardplate and display with digitizer are complete, so you only have to move your mainboard ( ) and the other small parts, and you're done with it.

actually its german, but they maybe ship it to you anyway, its cheaper then let this one change by local "professionals"
greets from germany good luck ,mate
thanks for all your precious replies. I'll try to solve this through German ebay since the prices are reasonable
I was expecting much worse seeing it fell from a moving scooter. You lucked out man.

Hey all,
So I've learned the hard way that gorilla glass is not very good at resisting scratches. My new note 4 has some pretty long scratch marks along the screen and my phone has always been in my empty pocket.
Anyway, the screen protector finally arrived and this may go some way to hide the visible scratches, however based on the galaxy note 3, can the glass on these phones be replaced? And would Samsung charge the earth for such a thing to be done?
Regards
Yeah it is possible. I have done it for the note 3. Here is a video explaining the process: http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=HwrSdrySqec. It is very important if you try to replace just the glass to take your time as to not break the screen. Good luck.
If you take it to Samsung they replace the entire display and will probably cost around $300.

I don't know which carrier you are using, but if you have the insurance, I would simply use it, typically its $50 bucks or so, atleast in my experience. I fully intend to use it myself if anything happens, even so far as loosing warranty support on the device for playing with it, i'd run over it with a car and get a refurb before anything.
Hi,
Despite how careful I was with it, I've managed to drop my samsung galaxy s4 and of course crack the screen in two places. Not only this but the lcd screen itself is blackened out in places and won't work.
How much would it cost to have it repaired and do you have a store/website?

The cost would be around 200 USD , the screens are expensive...but easy to replace

the sell them all over the internet...and i am sure a few local service shops around your town do also

Doesn't quite show if the Modem is a separate chip or onboard the 7420.
my 2 cents
Was just about to post this. Thanks!
The battery seems cumbersome to replace. I hate heating things up and removing the glass in fear of cracking it. However, once past that, it looks pretty standard. I'm glad there's no more glue underneath that all.
Being careful, it can be "easy" to change the battery
There is a YouTube video about The Galaxy S6 teardown

they also uploaded to ifixit

Removed some teardown pictures because risk of being reported to sammy.

I wish it was a little easier to repair, ala the Nexus 4, which was rather simple to take apart. But really, anyone who has taken apart phones before shouldn't find it too difficult to repair this device. But it looks like most everything is soldered to the motherboard. What will happen if the usb port breaks?
Hi. I just broke my S6 display, just the protection glass ,the touch is working flawlessly even where the display is cracked. I was wondering what do you suggest, to change only the glass (Oca glue /gel ?) or to replace the whole display meaning glass and touch? Please help guys. Later today I will post a picture with the display. Thank you.

I only had mine for 5 days, dropped it, and cracked the glass.... a week later, dropped it again, and cracked it even more! I can't believe how slippery the G6 is. Anyhow, I ordered a good case the same day I got the phone, but it's stuck at friggen customs for over a month now... Soon as I get it, going to get er fixed. It's $210 locally rite now to get the glass replaced, or $150 for an insurance replacement. Regardless, going to stick with the messed up screen til I get the case, still works great.
Hi. I found to replace the glass and touch together with 150 . Replacing just the screen I think it's cheaper but I didn't hear good things about this procedure (high possibility to crack the touch or the gluing of the touch and glass it's very hard to get like new). Where are you from? http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B00...y+s6+parts&dpPl=1&dpID=51nFR7qIK9L&ref=plSrch
I bought a Samsung Galaxy S6. The other day, I happened to break the front glass. The LCD is still fine and the phone works, but the glass is all cracked and a little sharp. So I got a Samsung Galaxy S6 replacement and then followed the video guide to fix it. Now the phone just like a brand new phone.
Hello all. I'm almost going to buy this with a cracked screen. I went through youtube and saw videos where people ruin the lcd while trying to fix the glass only repair. Is it always this hard? Is there a sure way to replace the glass only? Or one would need to replace the whole lcd (which is really expensive)
Thank you

Better to just replace the whole thing I just got mine replaced almost paid about 200 dollars the screen and the lcd is glued together I asked my cell phone repair man and he should me the screen and why it usually doesn't work out its because they are literally glued very very closely together trust it's not worth just getting the screen replaced because u will most likely have touchscreen issues yellowing issues etc ...... If u don't plan on upgrading your phone anytime soon I would say go for it I just did it because I plan on using my note 4 a little longer we have a lot of good development and marshmallow is near mate soon. ...
Yeah, you are better off replacing the entire front panel of the Note 4 or any Samsung flagship device. As the screen and display on Samsung flagships are all glued to together so replacing just the screen is a very hard job.
