Hi Team,
Where can we buy Motorola DEFY In Car Holder in India? If it is not available what is the best alternative that fits perfectly. I do not want those 300-400 Rs. Universal ones made of low quality plastic.
Any help is appreciated.
Why do you want a holder made specifically for the Defy?
If it's for automatically getting into car mode, there are easier and less expensive ways to obtain. You just need a thin, strong magnet (from a 2.5" HDD for example).

I've bought something very similar to the holder in picture 1 for some 3$.
After I used it for a while glued to the windshield, I decided to give up on the arm, glued a piece of L-shaped metal sheet to the holder, and shoved in a crack in the dashboard (pic 1, horizontal "crack" below the air vents).
It works like a charm and it was very cheap. Not the best quality plastic, but it's holding on after more than a year of moderate use.
PS: If you want pictures with the actual holder (for inspiration), I'd be happy to provide tomorrow.

Got this from ebay and attached a small magnet at the back side to enable my Defy to detect it. This is not original but a compact good one.

It costed me Rs.460 and it was home delivered thru Post just by ordering it thru eBay. By Neck if you mean the hinge which helps in 360 degree rotation of the holder then Yes it has the neck.

Well I don't normally do this, but I ordered a case from eBay and within 2 days it arrived
The cost of this leather case including postage was £12.98 (free postage)
It's got quite a good solid feel to it and fit's my xoom very well, I half expected it to be rubbish for the money but it's not.
I would highly recommend this to any xoom owner. It's the only one I found that you have access to all ports and also allows the indicator light to show through when I get an email.
Mines the 3G version but I dont think that makes a difference. Also because the flap has a crease in it, this allows it to stand up for watching a film BUT if you lay it down the other way you use it to type on. Using it this way puts the xoom upside down sadly but it then allows you to charge it from the top
O.. and did I mention you also get a FREE screen protector with it!! I haven't fitted mine yet however.. I hate doing them because I always mess up and end up with lots of bubbles and fluff.. lol
Apol's if this is breaking any rules, but I'm that impressed with it I thought I would pass this on.
The current eBay link is http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=250793933011
Happy xoom'in

Ermmm not wery well made. I have the same and the xoom dosn't fit properly.

It is not the only one which provides access to all sensors and buttons, and it doesn't provide access to charger port while being closed - as all other currently known cases.
Btw, you posted that in the wrong forum...
this is the one i got and its great. Had no problems with the ports, the holes some to be in the perfect position.
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270737383497
only "down side" (not sure if it is even that bed to be called that), is that the "hinge" of the case is at the bottom. So when charging the case cannt be closed all the way, btu i just fold it back(so the screen is not covered) when chargin and put in a drawer.
apart from what its a very good case for under £15.
that looks like its the same case. I think for the money its a bargain.
Had my xoom for few days now and loving it. Starting to use it more and more now... looking forward to the uk 3.1 update. From what I've been reading it might be out on the 27th may...
Fingers crossed
I bought the tuff-luv pull-tab case from eBay for about £14. Very nice.
Hi guys, I bought this one.
http://item.mobileweb.ebay.com/view...=1&nav=WON&nid=32518807697&trxId=583007023013
Only £4.99 with free delivery
The case is a nice tight fit and adds no bulk, all port holes are a perfect match.
Best device case I've bought (cheapest too)
Screen protector that came with it was one of the cheaper ones that leave smear marks etc but I decided not to use it, I bought the item just for the case anyway.
I can't rate it highly enough guys.

I wanted to make a mount mod to play games on my GS3 using a Sixaxis PS3 controller. Here are some pictures of how I made it. All parts were inexpensive and only one that is a little difficult to find was the plastic piece that I built my mount around. I bought a cheap 10 dollar or so PS3 wireless keyboard and used its mount for this. I will be using the keyboard with my old phone as a XBMC project with HDMI cord. So in the end the clip was a bonus. The solid white tpu case is a 1-2 dollar case off ebay. I used one that has a smooth back and not one of the "S Curve" ones.

The game is called earth and legends.
The gameklip looks great as well. I didn't see he was making them to after I had completed my own mount. I hope he is successful with them as I looked around for a while for something like this.
I wanted to keep mine modular, so I added wrong nuts to easily remove the clip. That way if I was to get a nexus 7 I could use my side parts to make it a stand. Only thing I would need is to buy a cheap eBay case for it. Since the case down is a part of the mount. Could do the same for other devices, such as a psp or something of that nature. I have a transformer, but think it would be too heavy and bulky to mount.
I decided to give up a little in the looks department to be able to adjust the time height. I noticed in some of the places I play games, I'm more cramped and needed the screen to be more flat, and at other times I preferred it to be more at a 45 degree angle.
The keypad with clip I bought is sold on buy.com by a company called yallstone. An unable to post link. Look up ps3 keypad. They are on eBay and Amazon add well, but they didn't show an actual picture of the clip, and wanted to be sure it came with one. Amazon and eBay had cheaper prices.
I likely wouldn't have bought it if I hadn't had a use for the keypad as well.

That would be cool, but very hard to make since the USB connector is on the bottom ?
I would like a sock to put the Find 5 in.
Maybe change the topic title to : Things you want to buy for the F5 ?

Well if you want a sock, go over to the dollar store and im sure you will find one that will fit the Oppo find 5. In all seriousness you may consider something like a neoprene sleeve, they are fairly cheap and will fit nicely around the device. I ordered ones for the xperia z, dna, htc one, i want to see which one fits the best. Once i get my oppo i will do a quick summary of all my cases and how they fit the OF5 (I got like 6 cases x.x)
Thanx mate :good:
I was more thinking about the Fitbag :

The inside of the sock is made from the cleaning towel you clean you'r device with so every-time you take out you'r phone it is being cleaned.
But they don't know the Oppo 5 which is a huge problem with newer phones.
@mod. could you please clean up the OP ?
/edit
Ordered this bag, i post photo's when i receive it.
I mailed the dimensions of the phone so i hope it will be alright.

Go on gsmarea and search for a phone with a similar size spec to the phone, then buy any of the sleeves that fit that phone and most likely they will fit the Find 5.
This is one of the ones i got for mine, $5 i couldnt go wrong.

I want it to look new. I feel like I need to replace the glass, home button, the faceplate beneath the glass, and possibly the headset speaker piece. I am mechanically inclined. I just need help in identifying what parts I need to replace and any instructions floating around on the internet.
Thanks!
for a start and this, quite some videos on YouTube on how to change the screen.
[READ THlS FlRST] POST QUESTIONS IN THE Q&A SECTION AND NOT HERE!!!
I did nearly exactly the same to my S3. I purchased a entire new screen/digitizer. I'm not safe changing a lightbulb, however I took the bull by the horns and managed to do it following a video from youtube combined with a ifixit breakdown.
I got mine from http://www.replacedirect.be/product...iii-s3-gt-i9300-lcd-screen-and-digitizer.html ... I opted not to even attempt changing just the glass, it's not really meant to be changeable.
The whole job took around 30 minutes... worked perfectly.
Sold the handset two weeks later and bought an S4
Isn't there a better way to do this than to use a hair dryer?

As anyone who knows who's bought one, the official griffin Car Dock uses a non standard mount size, making it difficult for those who do not like the standard suction cup mount they offer. (This guy) This guide will show you what you have to do in order to make it accept the standard size ball to allow you to use any mount you want. I used an iMagnet mount with my old S3 and loved it, but due to pain in the a$$ back on the Moto X, using a magnet style mount is not preferable.
This first pic shows the various mounts I had, disassembled, and what parts I used.
They are:
Upper left: Griffin official car dock.
Upper right: My old S3 mount, the iMagnet mount, and the socket piece I will be reusing.
Bottom: The Mountek Snap 2 mount I want to put the Griffin dock on. This mounts in the cd slot, a much better place to put it in my VW.

The only two pieces we really care about right now. The socket from the iMagnet mount, and the socket of the Griffin.
VERY IMPORTANT! When you slice your thumb open with an exacto knife and come back to your chair, YOU MUST REMOVE THE CAT.
All done with the cutting. I basically just cut the threaded part of the Griffin down until it hit a flat area. If you go to far it starts to get thinner, but if your doing this project, you'll know when to stop.
Remove the cat again.
I threw on some epoxy, secured it over night, and it's as good as new. (take note of the cat's disgust with my project)
There! now your official dock will accept any standard mounting ball! (that's what she said! heeyooo!)
This reminds me of all the DIY crap I had to do to the GSM Galaxy Nexus dock to get it to work with my Verizon model. It was a pain, but totally worth it in the end.
(And the cat pics were pretty damn funny)
Awesome. Looks like I'll be doing this in my future. Note is I can find one of my old docks.
How's the epoxy holding up?
Like it would take the force of the gods to separate it. Rough it up good with sandpaper first, clean it good, slather it on, profit.

Such a cute kitty! Wish mine were more friendly to me, lol! And thanks for the tutorial!
I would also advise when you have the epoxy securing it, to not let it run into the internal cavity of the main dock, as there are wires and other bits of wizardry in there.
