[Q] cant boot into recovery or bootloader - HD2 Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting and Genera

My hd2 is running on NexusHD2-ICS-4.0.4-CM9-HWA V2.7 and for some reason I cant boot into recovery or bootloader - All I get is the "gogogo"screen thing when it boots from nand.
What am I doing wrong?

You should have a early version of magldr (1.1) update it to 1.3, if not or if that doenst work try doing a fresh install, and dont forget do a task29 to wipe out all those bugs

I have the magldr 1.13 on the phone. But I cant get the "Seriel" to change to "USB" and so I cant flash it with the magldr tool. is there another way to "jumpstart" it ??
I have tried two cables and 3 slots on the computer

[Q] How to uprage form MAGLDR 1.11 to MAGLDR 1.12 in gingerbread

Hello i'm having difficulties in upgrading to MAGLDR1.12 form MAGLDR1.11 because i can't sync my device in gingerbread.
Is there any other way doing that ?
You have to enter the bootloader mode to upgrade magldr. Restart your hd2, and hold down vol down while booting. You will se the hspl tri colour bootloader screen. Now your windows can connect and upgrade magldr. Just like you flashed it initially...

you sure about that? didnt for me
Thanks guys, however i'm aware of that possibility so it doesn't matter because i wan't to upgrade the ROM anyhow.
It did for me, i think it is because magldr lies before the OS.

i cant find the thread anymore, but im sure magldr 1.12 is only for WP7. u can use it with android but there is nothing added for android. wait for 1.13
How do I get the phone to create an active sync with my computer if I already have MAGLDR 1.11 installed? I boot the phone into the bootloader with the multicolor screen, but windows mobile device center does not see it.
Thanks!

It doesn't wipe your current ROM.

Yep - there's absolutely no need to install Magldr 1.12 unless you want WP7.

Bootloader is a way and in my opinion a better and faster way to flash things like roms, splash screens,magldr,radios,Task29. there is no need to sync anything just click the CustomRUU or RomUpdateUtility and flash away.
nice i like that

Clockwork wont load. Says go go go and freezes.

Task 29 and try again from scrach.
If that doesn't work, then must be Hardware problem.
Or maybe corrupted files? try downloading stock WinMo ROM again

Hi,
ROM MANAGER only works with clk.
If you used it with magldr it is probably messed up.
You need to re-install magldr to get back to normal.

Just install a MAGLDR Rom and you will be fine... no need to do anything else.
ROMs in ROM manager are only compatible with cLK for now. The reason you got error when booting is because MAGLDR Roms use different /boot partition file system than cLK.
If you need do a backup from CWM and after flashing the new ROM go advance restore and select only data.img
I am trying to say your data weren't lost and you will not loose them after flashing new rom

That sucks! But on a good note, when you do re-install your rom and boot for the first time, sign in after touching that little green friend and google will re-install all your apps (without data thou) as long as you had auto sync on, that is,,,,

How could I do a cwm back up if I can't even boot into it. ?
Sent from my HTC HD2 using XDA App
I don't USE MAGLDR and i don't know if this will work but you can try to delete all lines from CWM flash.cfg except the one where is recovery-raw.img and try flashing CWM from pc.
possible with a fix, or I have to reinstall/reformat everything?

Did you manage to solve this issue, or you did a clean format/install?
I am also facing the same issue "invalid boot image header". Everything works fine beside ROM-backup(AD Recovery). Thanking you in advance.

[Q] ICS Issues (NexusHD2-IceCreamSandwich_Beta5 by tytung)

Using MAGLDR v1.13 & CMR 3.1. I've tried to flash - NexusHD2-IceCreamSandwich_Beta2 by tytung. I've wiped dalvik cache, wiped my data, & did a clean wipe of my SD card. I reboot into CWR in install & my phone keeps restarting. It never makes it to the boot animation screen. I've also had issues with a few other ROMs- But I'd rather focus on getting ICS on my HD2.
I'm using T-Moblie (US) HTC HD2
& I've followed the steps in the thread. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1354267
I'm still fairly new to XDA & just looking for some help to see if I've over looked something or need to go in a different direction.
Thanks to anyone that can help.
12-11-11 Flashed NexusHD2-IceCreamSandwich_Beta5
1) Phone freeze/runs slow.
2) Occasionally restarts (often during sms)
3) Also G+ app wont update - Error Package file was not signed correctly
Any ideas?
Did you make sure to flash the correct system partition sizes? That was a problem I had one time, I forgot to do that step.
I've tried. I'm not sure how to check that I did it correctly. What steps/tools do I used to get that done?

Firstly, why are you using beta2 when latest is beta5? Not saying thats is the problem, just that don't see why you would want to use outdated version.
Second, Get HD2 Toolkit, it has easy to use tools to do everything you need to prep HD2 for flashing.
If you already have magldr just use the repartition tool after entering USB Flasher mode in magldr and then re-partition to needed sizes then flash rom using cwm.
I'm still downloading beta5 & before I try this again with the latest version I want to get it done correctly. Is the repartition tool within my already installed magldr or is it from the hd2 tool kit. I ask this because I'd need some help using the toolkit. I've tried to use the partitioning feature on there and that's where things would've went wrong.
Thanks

Got it flashed. Thanks for the input. It got me on track.
Beta 2 had those problems you mentioned. Freezing and random reboots.

Try doing a fresh install.
To do that you need to do a task29 and Reinstall MAGLDR and the ROM.
You can use HD2 toolkit to do all that
