Accelerometer goes a bit crooked - Defy Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

hi to all, my defy has the accelerometer that goes a bit o left, just a bit, nothing of dramatic, but anyway it isn't straight.
my phone is still under warranty, but i heard of many cases of defy not more water resistent after reparation.
is there a way to fix it or i'm forced to go from motorola?

There should be an option under settings to calibrate it.

Anyways i did a factory reset to erase the primary email so i could use mine and now it wont go past the activation screen. Is there an apk that can be taken out? Any ideas guys?

If by luck he gets it activated, the bad esn will show up and the phone won't be able to send/receive calls, data, etc.

This works for all DroidX AFAIK. Rooted or not. And yeah, you won't be able to activate, but it makes a nice MP3 player
You could always activate it on another network such as Cricket.

If I try and watch a channel it gives me an error. I don't see the point in disabling it for rooted phones. Screw you sky!!!!

I believe on cm9 it gives you the option to temporarily disable root.
Might come in handy?
also you need to make sure your boot.img is secure eg
ro.secure=1 in /default.prop

1. Buy a cover. This prevents lens making contact with anything you lay phone down on.
2. Never put mob in pocket with coins, keys or any other hard objects.
3. use your Common sense.

I flashed no scratch last week and although it hasn't removed the old scratches it definitely works in preventing new scratches in conjunction with learning to look after my phone

There are several "wipe" functions, but I would research them extensively before using any. You might accidently remove scratches from your screen instead of your camera.
On a serious note. DO NOT MESS WITH RECOVERY.

Roaming bug

I don't believe this has been posted for the e4gt but came across this error after flashing AOCP ROM and it stuck on everything I flashed afterwards. Roaming would not work, at all. I spent 3 days without signal at work for 10 hours a day.
I tried clean installs of roms I knew worked, I tried to Odin back to stock, I tried to nand back, nothing seemed to work, until the guys over in the SGS3 forums found the answer.
Go to settings, and toggle roaming on and off. Not roaming guard, but roaming itself.
So simple it was laughable, but it works.
Again, I didn't see this posted anywhere in our forums, but if it has been please don't flame, I only wanted to share the fix. I don't remember who out was that found it but they definitely deserve huge thanks!:thumbup:
