I know right? And thanks, I might need you when I get a rough beta working!
Not looking too well anymore. Trying to find the correct kernel. I'm trying to use the Bonsai kernel but thats probably not compatible. Probably going to have to compile my own. It gets up to the SGTab 10.1 screen then reboots itself.
EDIT: Oh, and, 100th Post!

Just an idea but have you tried stock honeycomb kernel?

That could work, but at the moment I'm trying to rip the kernel from the SDK since the stock honeycomb and ICS kernel versions are different.
Btw, if any developer who knows what they're talking about wants to help me, shoot me a PM bro!
I can help to test when you have a decent beta ready.
Seems you should just wait for source and skip SDK ports. I think the Cyanogen team knows what they are talking about... Too much of a headache for poor performance.
I would love to be proved wrong... I'm not a dev, but I do develop apps and abhor using the sdk emulators. I also know the HC sdk port to the Nook Color never got off the ground. And that was a flexible device to work on...

Thanks for your quote of wisdom but I and the other people on this thread just want to see how itll work and etc... I'm getting pretty close to getting a decent beta out.
Technically you can try to simulate what it will look like, but not until the source code is released will you have any functionality. It will still be 3.1
Theme away!

Anyone working on an sdk port? They have stable builds over at ns4g that work flawlessly for the most part. So?

Stable builds and working for the most part is pretty contradictory.
Lol you know what I mean

Sdk ports are useless for the most part. Just wait for Aosp source to drop and I'm sure we'll have a CM9 alpha pretty soon. The Evo is after all very very well supported in the community.
Hurray for that
I know on the evo shift they already have a rom that half works..

CM came out and said they aren't working on CM9 (ICS) until AOSP source is released. They don't want to have anything to do with SDK ports.
Once the ICS source is out, we're gonna see a whole bunch of ports and stuff. I think I'll keep my evo on cm7 until the day when cm9 is out. Might even use boot manager to use whatever cm9 betas are released.
We wont get anything stable tell we have the source for ICS and from i heard it wont be tell mid November and i would take atleast 2-3 for devs to get anything good for are Evo since where not on there top priority list im guessing Evo signiture or Bionic well be the first real port
IAMLEGEND
so i thought i would open up a official port request here i am looking for some new aosp roms to port as the ones i was going to port were taken.. no offense just wanted them for myself lol.. but please post any rom requests here and i will do my best to port them..
Why port? AOSP can be built from source, that is a way better way in making an AOSP based Rom.

There is many guides across the net, the best advice is just dive right in. Then when you get a hang up just ask questions, there is many people that can help out.

some cm9 roms or ics roms?
vicodan why must you be a douche at all times.. uke really already done.. on sdx-developers.com
I was thinking about using my other hard drive to compile from source but most of the guides I've seen are calling for 64bit. I only have a very old school 32 bit setup so I'm out that race LOL

Maybe It's the ICS guide we have written then, because I was going to try to compile from peppermint( uses ubtuntu repositories) but stopped at the 64 bit part LOL

Lol VICODAN is VICODAN, you learn to love it man. If you don't really know how to compile from source though I'd recommend you start there.
I understand wanting to help out and port things users want BUT what happens when there is a bug that requires fixing and you are unable to attempt to fix.

As stated in the "Getting Started with Arduino" handbook, coding is much like starting a punk band, in that you only need to know three chords. In other words, just get started, you will pick it up as you go (besides, as far as coding goes, with the exception of applescript, it really does not get much easier than android).

This is because with some donation money i was able to buy an external HDD which i burned ubuntu to. This allowed me to compile a full build and have the development machine on any computer I please
THANK YOU!

Nice job! I know that Liquid/Jester/Twisted build has a lot of the same mods as CM9 all of that source is on GitHub. I kinda would be interested to see someone work on CM10 as opposed to CM9 since we have already come so far on ICS and now are behind two versions 4.1 and 4.2. Things will work better and be easier if and when the source from HTC drops if they ever even actually release the official ICS update. Well keep up the good work anyways. EDIT: oh you said you used the github didn't see that sorry anyways carry on.
Would definitely love to see a CM10, or CM11 base.. but.. again.. Thunderbolts aren't gonna be worked on much longer I feel.

Recent PACman builds require ParanoidPrefernces.apk moved to /system/app/ in order for it to show up in the settings. You can grab it from any other PA ROM.

Any should do. The application makes adjustments based on the DPI in your build.prop.
