Ok...Long story short I was on stock 2.2 & rooted with the Z4 root app. My phone was acting quirky. Gohst touches on the scteen...random reboots & the like. I usually do a battery pull & all is fine. But this time It got stuck in a boot loop..yay. Somehow I got it to boot iinto recover through clockwork mod & I did a recovery/restart. No luck. It stayed on the M logo. So I boot into recovery and do a data reset....Still stuck on the M when turnig on. So I figure This SBF thin Ive been hearing about doesnt seem to hard & seems like my only option for saving my DX RDS lite & drivers installed SBF 2.3.15 ready...GO!....no...RDS lite does its thing & says PASS. My phone however woll only go to Bootloader...cant get into recovery at all plus it now looks as follows
Bootloader
30.04
Err:A5,70,70,00,1F
MEM_MAP Blank
Service Req'd
Battery OK
OK to program
Connect USB
Data Cable
Any Ideas?!?!
Since your bootloader version is 30.04, try SBFing with a 2.3.34 SBF file.

What version windows are you using? 32 bit or 64 bit? Check out the site in my signature if you're looking for SBF files... They're there. Good luck, I'm sure you'll figure it out.
THANK YOU SOOO MUCH! sometimes the easiest things are the most overlooked
My Motorola Droid X just will not boot up, my bootloader is 30.04 and i SBF'd the .621 Update.
The phone wont enter the "charge mode" (Need to Charge!!!) or recovery (Stock) and is Stuck on the Red Motorola "M"
Any Thoughts?
EDIT: Nevermind, got to recovery and it all started working after a reset!
Always perform a reset after running an SBF.

OK so my droid x has only booted into recovery mode for a while and I just left it that way after taking the battery out... I decided to try and fix it yesterday. I was fallowing this guide (droidxforums(DOT)com/forum/droid-x-sbf/12015-complete-droid-x-sbf-flashing-guide.html#post106311) and my bootloader is at 30.04. I was doing it on windows and used the latest RSD Lite. I think I need a full SBF so I tried the 5th one down (VRZ_MB810_2.3.34_1FF_01.zip) on this site sites(DOT)google.com/site/motosbf/droid-x-sbf-files
I SBFed it and every thing went fine... it said PASS and I thought I was done... correct? but when I rebooted it just booted right back to the bootloader. Plz Help

EDIT: Solved just SBF'ed .621 and worked perfectly! Thnx
Glad you worked it out. That's what happens when you try to install a previous system version over .621.

Attempting to update a US-Tmobile Defy (green lens) with CM7 to CM10
1. As a 1st step wanted to do a full Nandroid - but the backup repeatedly failed.
2. Next, installed RSD lite to unroot, revert to stock, 1st tried with "JORDN_U3_6.36.0_SIGNED_USAJRDNTMOB1B4B5DE1028.0R_JORDANTMO_P022_HWp3_Service1FF.sbf.gz"
After completion, the Defy was stuck in a boot loop
3. Finally, used RSD lite attempting to unroot & revert to stock using, "T-Mobile_MB525_6.19.0_1FF.zip"
After completion, the phone would not boot nor go into bootloader.
The battery was very low and I suspect that it may be the reason I cannot start the bootloader. The phone, in its current state does not seem to charge the battery.
Please help!
Doug
All you had to do was wipe data after 1 St flash via stock recovery
But now search around for the mcgyer trick to charge your phone and then flash the first sbf and wipe data afterwards
Never flash with a low battery

Thanks,
found the thread and am gave it a try. Still no love insofar as getting into the boot loader. Perhaps the battery is not dead. Reads 3.9v
Anything else I can do to try n summon the bootloader?

Do you get something like :
'battery ok in bootloader' ?
EDIT:
I see you are not able to see boorloader at all.
one thing you can do is :
connect the phone to your system
start rsd lite
take out the battery
insert it again
and immediately press power and volume up.
you may not see the bootloader on the screen but your device may show up on rsd lite.then you can flash your sbf.

You must charge your battery. The possible ways are:
1. with friend's defy or external charger
2. McGyver way - find in threads, but use with caution
Hi there,
I bricked my Defy Plus from CM10, 2ndInit. I've wanted to flash again the original .sbf cause of warranty issues. I wasn't sure witch version I had on the original so I thought I'll go from one to one in the list of droid developers SBF( can't create link )
After flashing with RSD light there was 2 possible outcome:
1. Flashing completed normally but after device rebooted, it hanged at the Motorola Logo infinetly.
2. Flashing completed, but the device turned off itself, and after trying to turn on, nothing was rendered, HOWEVER I've noticed, that it can be still booted into bootloader mode, cause I could see it listed in the RSD Lite device list.
I thought that was the worst case scenario, turns out its not:
After flashing DFP-137 device cannot be turned on, won't apper in RSD Lite, nothing.
A symptem is, that if connected the white led glows.
Is it possible I bricked it to such state, that I've got no options? If not, what should I do.
I think the cell got supply, cause I licked it, and felt normal ( electricity was riding trough my thoung ).
Any tipps are welcome, hit me!
Maybe it's low on battery, did you factory reset from stock recovery?

No, I figured for removing rooted state, I should reflash the full .sbf.
As I said, it feels charged, mb I'll try go for McGuyver charing method.
If I can reanimte my Defy into bootloading state, how do I know witch .sbf is the correct one??
defy problem
