I bought an HDTV adapter for my Samsung galaxy s3. Since I connect it through micro USB port, is it compatible with nexus that has the same connector?

It will plug in but it will not work as the N7 doesn't have MHL capabilities at this time.
Does it work with another ROM like cm10?

no. there are no custom roms that can get it to work. it could be that the hardware simply isn't there.

Hi I noticed this as well, I believe it's because the version for the nexus build was not updated on the store. It should be working now. I updated through the UK Play store a couple of hours ago.
