New to theses forums.
I've a usb brick problem on my sgs.
The problem appear 1 month after upgrading from Froyo (Bouygues Operator) to Gingerbread (with Bouygues Operator) via Kies.
Every thing works well except usb connections to any PC or notebook (Win7 and Windows 2000)
When connected, sgs is not recognized (Unknown Device)
My Actual OS Configuration : Baseband I9000XXJVO, Kernel [email protected] #2.
After reading some post like http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1464052, I've tried the following, but nothing of these was successful :
1> Uninstal Phone Drivers on Windows and reconnect the device
2> Other pc usb port
3> Other pc or format
4> Other usb cable
5> Try Mobile Odin : I can't use it, because my rom gb2.3.3 is still not rooted
6> Use Jig : I don't think a JIG dongle can solve the problem, since my rom is still official
7> Try to apply universal_gb_root_v15.zip on Recovery Mode
8> Try to apply another update.zip (to root GB, in order to install Jelly Bean with Mobil Odin, witch requires root)
9> Having the phone connected to notebook and then turning the notebook on -- Didnt work in my case
Don't know how to do ; since my device cannot be recognized by a PC, I cannot use neither ODIN, nor zergrush batch.
Therefore I have not found any update.zip to root GB 2.3.3, and still wonder if there is one.
Anyway i'd like to install Jelly Bean custom ROM with CM9 to be able to use OTG function.
Can anyone bring me some help to root and then install JB ?

First, you need to resolve your connection problem as you need to be on a 2.3.6 boot loader to get your phone functioning on an ICS or JB, without complications.
So try and use the solution from My Android Solutions to solve it or IF your USB port is broken, get it replaced , a guide is available at My Androids collections , link below

Finally I think it's a problem with bluetooth because I get usb connection working when trying some manipulations with bluetooth ...

As far as i am aware the only way out is to reflash the stock firmware, without usb your a bit stuck. what is the problem with the usb connection?
i am trying 3 systems xp w7-64 w7-32 all are device not recognized error in device maneger is yellow mark unknown device
You need to install the usb recovery drivers. They are on the advent/pov websites. I assume there the same as your tab.
i cant access my tablet because i have usb not recognized error i want any alternat method to flash my tablet rom like sd card or usb drive thanks

You need to sort the usb driver issue. That will solve your problem. As far as i am aware flashing the stock rom with any other cable is not possible.
finaly i found a pc i install a nvidia driver audi sign green but run moddedstock its showing error nvflash uid read failed what this error and some time nvflash runing but blank screen nothing hapen
every time connect to pc masseg appear this device perform faster but connect to usb 1.1 and every time flash hang betwen system.img copying last file why is connect slow speed not full usb 2 speed there is cable problem or some thing else or driver problem ihave tried vega flash and modded stock v2 any help to try with linux ubuntu pleas help me thanks

Sorry for my English I will try to explain my problem.
After rooting everything was fine, but when I try to flash stock firmware somethings happen.First problem is that my PC cannot detect the phone with Odin and adb or mass storage I am 100% sure that the problem are not the drivers because I root that phone on the same PC before a week and of course I try everything on a another computer, but without success.
Download mode Odin cannot detect the phone! after many attempts to fix usb problem now the phone cannot boot , only in recovery (loop)after every start it's show recovery with message
Filesystems:
system: rfs
data: rfs
cashe: rfs
maybe system, data and cache files are erased I don't know.
recovery version is 0.1.3.b5
How can I flash stock firmware without PC. For example HTC devices can flash from SD card - Gold card, and PB99IMG.zip (I can't explain very well what I mean sorry)

If you can go to download mode and phone is not detected, then you have bad drivers or bad usb in PC. Try another PC.
I have 3 pc and 2 cables and the same problem cannot detect. Can I flash new stock firmware without odin ?

Have you tried different USB ports, specifically one on the back of the PC?

Calm down. Did you read what I posted above? I said nothing about drivers. Have you tried other USB ports? Most people find the ports on the back of the CPU work the best, not ones on the front, or on a hub. It does make a difference.
My Mk809 is stuck at the R-Box screen and I'm trying to flash the recovery software onto it, but when I short out pins 6-7 My PC doesnt recognise it so I cant install the drivers . I tried on xp and win7 with no luck, is there any other way of doing it ? and is there a better guide than the one thats already in the download.
And how do I connect it to my PC , I'm assuming its the full USB port and not the micro USB port , I've tried both anyway

PLEASE can someone "in the know" answer the above ASAP. I have exactly the same issues. I wish I hadn't tried to upgrade my firmware :crying:

Hi every body, please i have a problem with my S4 I9500. when i connect it to my pc via USB with debugging mode activated it's not recognized but it's charging. I tried with different cables and USB ports and differenct computers but the same problem occurs. I tried to access the download mode with all combinations but it does not respond. my phone is not rooted and when i tried to root it using some android apps like zroot and others the rooting process is always not successful. the system infos are :
- Model Number : GT-I9500
- Android Version : 4.2.2
- BaseBand Version : I9500XXUAMDE
- Kernel Version : 3.4.5-447903
- Built version : JDQ39.I9500ZSUAMDF
- Hardware Version : 1.1.0

Try installing this app: Quick Boot. It's free and works perfectly.
- Select the option: BOOTLOADER for go to DOWNLOAD MODE directly. Good luck :highfive:

- Update your drivers or installing Kies (no Kies 3) in your pc.

I can't update firmware using odin ,it keep saying not recognized ,any other ways can i flash firmware without using usb port? Hope anyone can help me
Did you try on another pc? Test it, maybe your pc is the one with the problem.
you can flash with out pc, sadly there are none rom at the moment to flash trough recovery.

i have try many cable, computer but its still same. its just charging on the phone and not recognized on pc. im stuck on unofficial miui with a lot of bugs, please give me someways to stock my firmware back without using odin or anything that use usb port because my usb port its just for charging only, not working for odin.
Rith click on computer and click on comlutef propeeties then ect device manager u will use warning icon in the list something name i am forget right click on it u will use option update driver click on it then select specific driver path where your driver are installed then search then Huh Huh xD restert your pc then connect your phone:good:
I think problem is with drivers you need reinstall device drivers, first uninstall ur device drivers from device manager then install samsung usb driver software from here ,now drivers will be installed automatically installed on connecting your phone

I have Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime SM-G530/H/DV model (G530HXXU1ANIA) . I did factory Reset . Then TouchWiz stopped problem arose. I disabled TouchWiz and installed APUS Launcher. That worked fine. Then I want to give cell to another person. I did Factory Reset again. After this the following problems arose.
1- A pop up massage during booting arose. “Unfortunately Process com. Android. systemUI has been stopped”
2- Above mentioned message hang the cell on Main Screen, I can not operate any function.
3- IMEI No. INVALID.
4- Mobile cannot be accepted connection with PC, ODIN, Kies etc.
Kindly guide me in this regard as I am a beginner in the matter of programming etc.

I doubt it is a driver issue because I have tried multiple systems and these systems recognize other phones instantly
its the same from my phone sadly i didnt find any firmware for this its a clone i think
