Hello Everyone,
I keep seeing people posting about their N7 being a C70 or a C90.
Are they referrencing a serial number on the box or something?
What do I need to look for to make sure I get a new one?
It seems most of the issues people have reported were on earlier units that were available.
Where do I look on the package and what does the serial number look like?

Yes its the the N7 Serial Number batch.
It's in the beginning of your serial number and it's just your build number. Every build seemed to have the same defects tho, none were faultless.
And it's Basil.

I have a C60 but my build.prop says it was built in July.

Ok, I have to correct myself on this one.
I went to Costco to look around and they only have a Samsung 7 inch tablet not the Nexus 7.
And the boxes of them they have sitting out are just empty boxes, basically for display purposes.
I was way wrong on that one.

ok dumb question- how do you see these C** codes? I went into About Tablet-->Status--> Serial number says 01.....there are some letters in it but not a single "C". Is it on the box? If so I will have to wait until I get home. This is a brand new 32GB that I just picked up yesterday at Staples.

Or, if you haven't already removed the sticker from your N7, it's located near the speaker grill on the back of your tablet.

It's called like Dreambook W7, but it's not dreambook
It has Freescale chipset
Hi, I have just purchased a Dreambook W7 from a ebay store. So far I'm impressed, it has a quality feel like the Samsung pad. It cost 223.99 pounds and takes around a week to ten days to get it. The 3G works well (got a signal in my local Sainsburies and HD2 doesn't) and the touch screen to nice.
I can only say it's as good as the Samsang as still setting it up, got it this morning.

I think part of the touch aspect of my screen failed. Whenever I try to use the right far right side of the screen, nothing happens. For example, if you look at the picture I took, I turned on the pointer location function in the developer tools. What I did was drag my finger down the edge of the screen in the same position. As you can see it starts to pan to the left. This area to the right of the line doesn't work so I can't use the letter P or the old menu button in apps.
It wasn't this way when I got it as one of my Google usernames has a '0' in it and another has a 'P'.
Is anyone else having this issue?

Gave it a try since if I'm RMAing it, I'll be resetting it anyways. Didn't help one bit!

Interesting. I called up Google Play support and doing an RMA was pretty painless. Should have a new one sometime this coming week, hopefully. :victory:

The RMA process was so easy, I literally only said I received my phone with a scratch on the bezel and the rep put me on hold and sent me emails with the paperwork. Done deal and really understanding.

Had 3, they were all **** with lots of build quality issues like dead pixels, jaggy mp3/usb ports and gaps between speakers and the phone, which in turn made it uncomfortable to swipe near the top and bottom. Decided to ditch the One in the end because I couldn't be bothered exchanging all the time and I'm getting a GS4 on the 26th now.
Dunno the models though as my network picked them up, was early April models though.

Seriously just bummed myself out pretty hard with this one. #1 reason for getting an S4 was the potential of the 13 megapixel camera. The one I just broke!
S4 in my pocket, leaned against something just right I guess, and BOOM! Not really a boom more of a sad sad whimper when I first saw my cracked lens.
I've searched this already, and there is hardly even a mention of this happening on google.
Hoping that someone has good news for me, or hopefully some helpful suggestions!
Ghost Glass on the front, Machined aluminium bumper, and not a thing to protect that stupid little piece of glass (why glass?) over the camera.:crying:

I finally received my camera from China... Quite an interesting trip it must have been for this little thing. About to replace the broken one, wish me luck.
the case is sweet.. I really like that it protects the outside of the phone as that is usually the part to hit the ground first on a drop. I also really like the Ghost glass that I've put on the screen. It feels just like the naked screen and doesn't inhibit the feel of the phone at all. The only thing that seems to not be protected by this setup is the camera... However at $28 a pop, I could think of worse things to happen. I'll be sure to do a quick write up when I'm finished in a few minutes.
Damn this phone is easy to fix. Took me five minutes total to fix.

Warning!! I just came across this at work when my co-worker asked me to set up his phone. I realized something was wrong when I saw the screen and size of this note 4. I decided to show it off for those who is considering picking up one from ebay or Craigslist. See the comparison from a real note 4 and see for yourself. There's no real difference w/ the software but the hardware might be a concern since the battery(charger) is not Original it might blow-up or melt. The fake one is really flaky and has weird random vibration and I would not recommend using it at ALL!!
Is the bootloader unlocked? Jk.
They make and sell a replica of the note 4' I've seen s couple of really good knockoffs, but they run like sh.t. Your boy got a fake phone

It actually had me fool when I first saw it then I booted it up and felt something wrong....the screen images was blurry for a note 4. Also, the material and feel doesn't feel right...haha

Update: my friend said the phone got too hot and screen is barely visible.
Thank God I got mine from the Verizon store and not Amazon.
Is this even a problem if you have Verizon? Just pop your Verizon SIM into it and it shouldn't activate.

I was kind of wondering why this was posted in the Verizon thread. From the painted back to the locked boot, it seems pretty easy to tell if a Verizon phone is the real deal. With that said, compared to the TMO phone, buyer beware
