i got a chance to give my jasjam in 500$ and i can take iphone
should i do it?
please the truth!!!
thx!
If you have an extra $250 to spare, I'd give in my JasJam and combine that money to buy a Kaiser. It's better than both of them.
What's so great about WM phones is how customisable and upgradeable they are. We can hack them, optimise them, and In a few years' time we will have 32GB MicroSDHC cards (8GB is already out in retailers)
iPhone however is closed. I you want a 32GB iPhone some day, you'll have to fork out another $500 rather than simply a new MicroSD card. And even once Apple opens up to third-party developers, there's always more with WM.
And if Google's recently-announced open-source mobile OS platform Android becomes popular (and therefore have many great programs written for it), our phones wil probably be able to use that as well.
Much better investment.

Hi!
I own the code of FretBoard, which was the best chord constructor for Palm based handhelds a few years ago. Now I need someone to port the code to the iPhone and make the whole thing a little more modern within the next weeks to have the application ready before June. Anyone interested?
Best,
Marc
Sell the iPhone.
Sorry, but I don't think you'll find any iPhone software developers here.
mb try iphone-developers.com
but not here, and I'm sure no one is interested)))
haha, purpose of this forum pretty much to develop windows mobile devices. you should have better luck at an Iphone specific forum
I don't understand; won't iPhone users be too busy doing their hair and getting all onanistic over design magazines to play the guitar?
I wanted to put out my views as to what's wrong and what's right with Microsoft Phones.
Apple have a good business model - create something that is aesthetically pleasing and has a rich gui - set up an app store to get more money after the sale of the device and link it with the itunes store to get even more money... and when this isn't enough to compete with newer models of phones - they just launch 1 monre iphone device with improvements to again compete... (remember the iPhone original and all they did was give it a 3g chip and people just had to have that!)
The BEST bit about this is Development... The devices get many many updates and if you compare this to windows mobile devices - you are lucky to get even 1 update from microsoft or the network or manufacturer during its lifetime - this is in order for microsoft to sell more windows mobile licences and the manufacturers to sell more devices.
MIcrosoft has just recently come round to understand that the money is in software people buy after the device is bought - the problem is they are playing catchup and so far so bad.
Without HTC windows mobile would have died almost as fast as a gastrotrich (google it).
What I want most of all is for my device to match it's potential - Currently I'm using HTC Touch HD and I just think that spec wise its far far better than an iPhone - however I wish that HTC didn't stop at just giving it a touchflo 3d scaled to fit the screen resolution.
This device should be an iPhone killer but it's not there at all.
my resons for this -
TouchFlo3d should have been re-sexified and made to completely skin wm6
Give ne a rich gui - Apple can do it - Palm with web os can do it.
All I can show off is my flipping clock and the weather demo.
Games - well Apple have fully embraced gaming - and due to the fact that windows phones have different display properties - and different technologies - there is not a game that plays well on all devices = especially with this device due to lack of hardware buttons.
resco's bubbles is the best game at the moment - but I want to see more than balls moving round my screen and the sony ericsson xperia game got me interested to see what it can do but probably will never see the potential exploited as htc need to sell more devices and microsoft more licences.
Microsoft either needs to buy HTC for a Massive figure to act more like apple - selling 1 or 2 models at a time - and then ensuring that new models are backward compatible and people who want to stay with the device can pay to upgrade the os like apple do.
sorry this was a bit of a rant - i just know that my touchHD will never beat the iPhone with everything that apple does to control the market.
My advice to Microsoft - Windows Mobile 7 had better be everything that windows 6 isn't.
HTC - make a device you can sell by the bucketload and maximise its potential.
what do you think?

Hello all,
Recently a relative approached me asking to help catalog and inventory our deceased cousins library of more than 30,000 books. She loved to read and was apparently a bit of a hoarder as well.
I asked some friends who had large collections of DVD's, CD's, Book's, etc and also a few book hunters and owners of independent book stores for software suggestions to help me with this somewhat intimidating task before me.
Just about everyone suggested the same program ASellerTool 5.2 It uses the Dell X51/X51v and a bluetooth barcode scanner to enter books into a database to create catalogs, inventories and even creates exports for selling on sites like Amazon. I would prefer to use my Samsung Galaxy S Epic 4G or purchase a Galaxy Tab or other Android Tablet to get the job done rather than buy outdated equipment. I have contacted ASellerTool and while they are working on an Android compatible package they say that it will be crippled compared to their WinMo 5.0/6.0 package.
As application inventors what is your opinion? Is this possible?
Hi everyone! I'm not new here on XDA, but i'm new into Windows 10 "mobile" handsets. I've seen a lot of review about several differen models but haven't find yet the perfect one for me. I used to do my everyday tasks with a Galaxy tab S2 (2015) then it broke in a non fixable way. I've decided to change and try with a Windows tablet to see how feels a pc like experience handled. Actually i don't have (and don't want to) a lot of money to invest in a similar product, but i can afford max a 250/300€ device. I know i can't expect a Surface performance for that price, but i just need it to view some streaming movies, surf the web and mainly use Office products to study. Anyway i'm here to ask if you can help me and suggest some of the best or what you think may be the best tablets out there. If may help you, i'll write down some of the key point i wish to have:
- A decent soc/good ram: Again, i know i can't expect much...not even thinking on top performance, but i'll be fine if i'll have a product that doesn't stuck while i'm using it. Otherwise would become too frustrating.
- 8-12 inchs: Preferibly 10, but anything above or below would be fine.
- No dual boot: May reduce storage since i don't mind to use anything than Windows. Really don't need a dual os.
- Brand: I'm open to everything. Really don't mind about the brand (even if it will be chinese) as it respects the above "expectations".
In conclusion, i don't need a "top" product and i'm aware that i can't pretend too much for the budget, but i just need a decent product to accomplish my everyday tasks, nothing more. I repeat, i'm a student so Microsoft Office will be the main use of this tablet, beside web and netflix or similar. I could use a laptop, i know...but i prefer to have something i can carry easily wherever i go. I'd really apprecciate any advice and/or personal experience. Thank you.
I guess that no one knows that...or simoly it doesn't exist. Well, this discussion can be closed then
tablets are alwayys laggy, even if theyre not at first. browse sites for few days or install some apps and it will start lagging. my fatherbought tablet and doesnt use it at all cuz its so laggy and broken
older used Surface Pro? I'm not even sure what other options there are, that is the only one I ever see.
I Like my Odys Wintab Ares 9.
It still lives after 3 years.. I used it a couple of times at work for a couple of months because the chefs thought Lenovo is good for a Technician too use... You just have too look angry at Lenovo and the Touchscreen cracks !
On my Odys I now need a new screenprotector, it is as if its build by HTC.. You can let it fall, bump against walls and use it in light rain..
And the price was 159€ ..
The only negativ is that it has a storage of only 32GB.. but I have a 128GB SDXC in it..
With a decent bluetooth keyboard and cheap bluetooth Microsoft mouse I prefer it over the too expensive Surface or Lenovo Tablets.. For the difference in Price I bought a Acer Aspire Laptop and took my girlfriend for a fancy diner..
I just got the HP Pro Tablet 608 G1, and it's really snappy. Just updated it to 20H2 and it's even better. Got it brand new on eBay with Miracast/usb/hdmi dock for $89.

Only 2 GB of RAM? That's not gonna get very far with W10...
1. Microsoft Surface Go 2
2. Fusion5 10-inch tablet.
3. Teclast X4
These are the three tablets which are available but I don't recommend you to buy any of them.

I have the enterprise edition with 4GB ram. Got it off eBay NIB for $80.
It has a bunch of enterprise-only features which make it extremely snappy -- like bios editing, rom kitchen, driver customization, and enterprise-only firmware from chip manufactures like Hynix... to name just a few.
So, it isn't low-end by any means. Even came with a USB/ethernet/hdmi/miracast docking station. Found the HP Enterprise Catalog price list from years ago, and it was originally $1,049.
I would recommend a Microsoft surfaces pro 7
