i was reading some reviews on this cus im getting no doubt. im one that doesnt like to wait. if theres a way to get it done quicker,im down... anyhow,i went to the kogan website and it seems that you can purchse the international version on the 15th or somthing. of course full price,
my question is,willl the international version work in the states off our towers? i saw another thing to that i didnt understand. the international version comes with quad core. ours is only duel core. wtf
Who says our version is dual core? I havent been able to find out anything about an australian release and if the original notes australian launch is anything to go by we wont have it till march next year but it will be identical to the international note.

I agree with you mate. It has always been the same as the international version. I'm just holding back to see how the release dates come out in Australia. Clearly they can't release right now or end of September otherwise they will kill their own S3 4G version.
I'm expecting official release to be somewhere from end of October or mid November.

I wish there was some kind of release date for Europe, other than the UK. I'm from UK but living in Austria at the moment, really wanna head over to Germany to pick up one of these when it comes out (Germany and UK seem to get stuff like this before other countries) but don't know if I wanna wait til April or May if the Galaxy Tab 10.1 comes out first! Ahhh what to do..
Same probleme here...I'm from Slovenia and we usualy get ALL phones/tablet very late (with the exception of Galaxy S and Galaxy Tab which were here quite fast, so I hope it will become a habit with Samsung gadgets)...for instance, iPad officialy went on sale last month (not that I care but anyway)!
I just want to get my hands on one of these Honeycomb tablets with EU 3G connectivity!!!
omfg .eu? How did you get a house on the internet?

Just order it?
Edit: Carphone Warehouse, Currys and PC World all don't seem to ship abroad...
And pay extra 200$ for something that doesn't even work in Europe?
Any news on the release on singapore? The wait is killing! Tmr will be the end of april, seems like the samsung asia CEO lied ...

Yeah, i hope there is some news for asia country, usually "grey importer" can bring some of the stock from singapore to malaysia, i can't wait
Still zero news, don't say Singapore and Malaysia, even India haven't got an exact release date.
Hates it when the company promises and don't deliver. They are just hooking us on... immoral practise!

Let us hope they will announce a date coming into the month of May and not keep telling us Q2. After all there is 2 month left in Q2.
April officially came to its last weekend and sure enough, no release. Another empty promise by manufacturers. Don't make announcements for releases of you cannot meet the dateline. Contemplating the lg 2x now...

Let's say we get the Tegra version, is there a need to find roots or mods that are Tegra specific?

After a long waiting, finally T-Mobile announced its version of Galaxy Note in U.S. market. The phablet is certified with Samsung Approved for Enterprise ( SAFE ).......

Not really of much use here, as the TMo Note will be using a Snapdragon CPU rather than an Exynos, making it more like the AT&T I717 Note than the N7000.
Regards,
Dave
If I am correct, T-Mobile US released the HTC HD2 with some months of delay but the biggest bonus of that wait to customers was that they added more ram + 16gb sd card compared to the international version.
Now if their version of the Note is similar to the At&T, then I can't understand their strategy behind this release. I'm curious to see the official specs for their version of the Note.
T-mobile is fast!

Given that the Note II is likely to be announced and released in a couple of months, I don't see any point in releasing this model at all!

Not necessarily . Now with rumors ( I know) stating anywhere from a late August to late October release for Note 2, which I tend to believe based on 1 yr release trends of cell phone sequals, it seems that way for us tech freaks, but for the average consumer who doesn't care about xda, cpus, or rooting, they will love the OG note on T-Mobile.
Just my opinion

Nope.
Eww, and an S3 chip? Sounds like they're just getting rid of AT&T's stock.
We are destined to use the freaking EDGE. I'm fine with the 30kb/s download(I get around 256 kbs/s connection) You still can use internet, check email, read news, etc. But when it comes to Google navigation or searching for a location in Google maps, 256 drives me nuts....

Saw this:
$900.00!
Yesterday, we told you that US Cellular and Samsung India are accepting pre-orders for the Galaxy Note 2 and today were made public the release dates of Note 2 for several European countries. It seems like Europe will get the upcoming Samsung sensation phone first and you should try to find more info at your local dealers to find out if you can pre-order it.
Samsung says that it will start shipping the Note 2 ‘phablet’ starting with September 27 and the first country that will get it, is Germany. However, almost all European countries will receive the device in weeks 40 and 41 of 2012. It will be released with the latest Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean firmware and it comes in two different colors, Titan Gray and Marble White. You should check web sites of your local dealers and see if they are accepting pre-orders for Note 2.
The release dates for Samsung Galaxy Note 2 N7100 in Europe are these:
Germany – 27th of September.
Italy – 28th of September.
Netherlands, France and UK – October 1st and 2nd.
All other countries in the EU should get the device around the same dates. The device will pack a 5.5 inch 720p HD Super AMOLED display, an 8MP camera, 1.6 Exynos quad-core CPU, Premium Suite for Note, S Pen stylus, Corning Gorilla Glass 2 and the Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean OS.
The pricing of this smartphone-tablet device starts from 700 Euro, but it might differ from country to country. Also, Samsung said that they expect to sell at least twenty million units of the Note 2, but I personally think that that number is a little out of reach seeing that numerous phone manufacturers are getting ready to launch new devices in Q4 2012.
The Titanium Grey and Marble White are the available colors, just like the ones used for the Samsung Galaxy S3. If you like big screen devices and you take into consideration the specs of Note 2, then this device is a must-buy and you shouldn’t hesitate to purchase it, even if the pricing is around 700 Euro or $900. Tell us in comments that you think about Samsung’s new Note 2 device and whether you think that it will become an instant success or not.

price is high, GPU is old....
hope HTC will release a phablet soon (im buying only htc, samsung and sony. samsung is expensive and sony wont release a phablet..).
~ 2 more weeks and my suffering will be over (on a Nokia N97 temporary cuz my original note died on me )
The reason the price is so high is because it includes the VAT (value added tax)
For those outside Europe, the price should be about $150 lower.

oh..I always thought it was a "I Gotta Have It FIRST" tax.
According to the US Cellular pre-order, it's $299.99 contract and $799.99 off-contract.

did you buy the international version ?
do you have the URL of the store ?
In India, the retailers are estimating it in the first week of October. Let's see though.
European retailers have links you have in stock soon.
If you can tell me I would appreciate some.
Cheapest I've found is at http://www.kogan.com/au/buy/samsung-galaxy-note-ii-grey-unlocked/

unfortunately not, even the Euro versions with LTE (right now there are at least 5 different versions, not all have LTE and the ones that do have LTE only work with a limited number of networks, most Euro versions will work with ATT 3G and 2G)
Thank you very much for the link to the store if you do not know any German website send outside Europe as it seems to be the first country to receive the note 2.
regards
oh yes october 1st for UK! Gunna have to buy this on release day!
Thanks for posting release dates crazeco
I read in a CES article that the 3G/4G version of the NOTE would be available later this month but they did not specify what country. Sorry if this question has been answered on here, but, I looked and couldn't find it. I live in California.
Thanks,

I was in a Verizon store today and I asked him about the release date and he put his hands up with an "It's not officially announced yet, but, very very close." He thought it would be about 649.99 for the 32 gig version.
Ive had it for over a week here in the uk. Got on contract with EE. Might flog it for a ridiculous amount lol.
