How hard would it be for you to say yes thats right or no you wamt this one dont want to brick the phone that why i'm asking

The stock rom will be even more laggy. Your problem is that you bought an old slow phone & got the cut down version with just 256mb ram, so it's even more laggy.

The stock rom was ok for the few days i used it and if i dont like it i can always change again in a few weeks
Custom rom are easy to find it seam it seams i'm just have issuess working out which is the correct stock rom for mine
Just want it stock again

How to make thor rom 11 read as acer instead of asus epad?

Just woundering i know someone that has made a build prop file so he can play gameloft titles but its for ver.10 not 11 so any help on this matter would be cool if you are using thor rom 11 and managed to get acer app\games to work please letme know
Thank you
And i know that i could just flash a different acer rom but i really like thors rom...
Sent from my EPAD using Tapatalk
I do not think you can do this without breaking support for the Asus apps.that do notelong on the Iconia.I believe its on the build.prop file.I have seen where people have several of these files saved.they switch back and foreordained to them depending what there app needs are.Extreme a bit to me. I use near stock rom and my tablet works fabulous.
You can ask Thor about this. .
Thanks Erica I have another xda member that helped with buildprop. So now I'm using Thor 11 Asus rom flawless so far. =)
What rom are you using so I can check it out if all else fails.

erica_renee is right
by doing this you will break asus mylibrary app
because it is made only for the tf
and you will need to mod the files to make it work again
Yea I know it breaks library app I don't need it due to countless others that can help me in the same way
The library app is a tiny con compared to my tons of Gameloft titles

Stock kernel to replace a custom kernel

Hi guys,
Is it possible to replace a custom roms kernel to a original one I've been looking all over this forum for a stock kernel to try but no luck.
Why do i want to do this??
I want to do this as I would like to use sky go app and barlcays apps which detect root and it's driving me nuts wanting to use custom again and I can't because the root is in the kernels. Also is there anyway I can remove them from it

From what rom you want kernel?
You can use a stock kernel in a custom ROM but many of the features of custom ROMs require root access so you would lose functionality.
Your best bet is to flash custom firmware in my opinion.
If only there was a way to decompile the Skygo .APK so it didnt check for root access........

Hi, is there any way to get a bare android 4.2.2 on this Phone, i dont like touchwiz, and the idea of getting immediate OTA's is also pretty nice too.

I have fat fingers excuse me please...(didn't mean to hit thank button 2x) sometimes its just best to back up your current ROM and just flash the ROM your curious about and check it out yourself. You may even love the ROM whether that app works for you or not.

A fully stable ROM for this device?

I'm looking for a stable ROM for my friend's S4. He wants something different to the stock bloated experience but he's not into flashing or anything of this sort. So I'm looking for a ROM that I can flash to his device that doesn't need too much tweaking or updating, so he can forget about it and just use it as his daily driver. His device it's already rooted with cwm recovery. It doesn't has to be something out of this world, but at least something that won't give him much bugs with a daily basic use.

I'll try the Goldeneye one, it's debloated and it's still stock so it'll be of ease use for my friend and he'll like the extra space and fluidity.

It is up to user preference. Each ROM is different and has its own bugs/quirks, as does each phone. While we may have the exact same device, they all have their own personalities.
