Ran AnTuTu....noticed this. - Galaxy S III General

The HTC One X+ is showing up as the 'top dog'. A phone that isn't even released yet. But, my GS3 fared well against it.

I was thinking about the same thing, really cool score!

It's not that hard. Root and De-Bloated the latest BTU Ice Cream Sandwich firmware.
Change build.prop dalkvik heap size to 192MB.
Install Nova Launcher and then freeze Touchwiz.
Install Tegrak Overclock and set it to 1.6Ghz.
That's pretty much it.

I wonder if someone running any of the leaked JB firmware can run this test and see if it is faster than one x plus in stock form ?

That's right buddy, it does reduces the garbage recycles, but how it affects a benchmark is the puzzle there.

All I want is a stock rom "jelly bean" that can beat the Htc one X "plus" due in few weeks. is that asking for too much?!!!

I get 12k on stock ICS with Franco's kernel and nothing else.

[ROM][2.3.4][Gingerbread JVR ODEXED] ♦ Apex JVR ♦ 08/01

Features:
This is basically JVR based Apex 9.0 minus home haptic minus deodexing minus lockscreen options minus overscroll glow.
If you want all these features Apex 9.0 is your stop.
This is not an Apex release. 9.0 is the official version out
Reason for keeping it ODEXED:
In layman terms deodexing on JVQ+ roms seem to break browser.
In theory deodexing might be breaking some other functions too but browser is most noticable.
Once this process is fixed we will start getting wonderful ROMs with fully working browser and what not.
Since this is odexed rom MODs are much harder to implement. However it seems to be noticably smoother.
Whats ODEXED? Framework & Browser

I have not found any benefits yet but I also have not found any major problems. I am using the Darky R kernel and it is smooth.
I had to reboot for the phone to allow TiBu to root but that is it. Install all apps with no problems.
Not sure how much messing I will do with it since it looks like not much will be done on this ROM for a while... and I do not use the alarm clock

[REF] JB ROMs Benchmarked [closed 10182012]

What?
First of all I want to thanks Bedalus for helping me out with the proper calculation of all the written down values
I got from these benchmarks. Thanks a thousand time again.
Well, just like back in the Ice Cream time there is no JellyBean benchmarking project yet for the the i9000 so I
thought it would be a nice thing to have it back again. Although it’s a personal taste.
Please, if you want to troll me (or the document), go ahead, it just doesn’t bother me at all, I know
that benchmarking is very dependable on the things you could do in the whole process to benchmark.
I haven’t done a thing to influence this whole benchmark.
Where?

Testing Methodology?
All the ROMs, that have been benchmarked, have been flashed with Devil kernel
on top. Due the lack of Glitch on JB this is a worthy stand-in.
So hereby my step- by step way on how to achieve this:
With every ROM I fully formatted: /boot /data /system /cache + FR
Flashed the ROM, after the kernel, GApps and wiped cache and fix permissions
Let the device boot once and ignored the whole ‘welcome wizard’
Enabled WiFi
Installed through the browser the OI Filemanager and NSTools
Installed through OI the following benchmarking-apps (saved .APK’s): Antutu, Linpack and Vellamo
Applied the governor, schedule and OC* in NSTools
Rebooted
Waited for about 100 seconds
Ran Antutu first, after that Linpack and Vellamo (3x times in a row)
Reported all my results in the sheet
For this benchmark I used my knowledge about my phone and the hardware it has got.
On every ROM test I applied the following things:
Governor -> SmartassV2 (just the best to get for my testing results)
Scheduler -> deadline (I find this the most valueable for this benchmarking)
OC -> 1400 MHz (I might go any higher but it’s not FC’ing on this frequency)
Secondly I’ve got an extra i9000 here; I will use that phone next week too, to get an extra test for having this all
‘clean’. Will try to update the list soon, and add more JB ROMs, but here’s a start! Last but not least; I will NEVER
say that x ROM is the best or worst, just check it yourself.
Updates & plans
01092012 - everything done - need to relist the scores and edit some values in correct order
10092012 - put update online
Results
From high to low performed:
10092012:
C-RoM BeaN
JB - CM10 & CNA
TAJB: Jelly Bean port for Galaxy S
X-Bean
Remics-JB
Paranoidandroid
Helly Bean
Cyanogenmod 10
AOKP - Galaxy S
GNexus port JRO03L
Slim Beans
Conclusion
I was very surprised by the fact my all time FAVOURITE rom performed not as I expected on JB.
There are a lot of ROM's practically the same, but I will clearify that asap this evening. Check
out the values! This is the first benchmark for JB anyway, and more to come. Will grab newer
updates every week too, hoping the competition will get bigger .

Any stable one with a .tar-file to flash in odin?
I'm on Cyanfox and also noticed significant performance improvement over Android 4.1.x. I didn't check quadrant or other benchmarks as user experience is what matters to me - and this is very good with KK version I'm running on.

It's because of DVFS bug in all 5.0.1 builds.. You have 3 options to fix it;
1) Downgrade to Kitkat
2) Install a kernel (i'd prefer googy)
3) Wait for official 5.1.1 which is high probably gonna fix it.
