Hi all, I've started this thread to see if we can find a candidate to help bring cyanogenmod 10 to our beloved Xoom. I've had a response on Google+ when I asked if everest version will get support and the reply came back that none of their maintainers had our version but if someone is willing to be a maintainer and has a high level of appropriate knowledge with source,git and gerrit then they should contact devrel at cyanogenmod . Can we find a willing and knowledgeable owner to help out?

The only trouble is that like team eos none of the developers have the umts_everest (mz601) so they are struggling and they would like someone with this version to help, I'm just a newbie but to me it seems like there are some very knowledgeable people on here and I can't see why no one is coming forward to help cyanogenmod or team eos as they are doing fantastic jobs. If no one steps up then the other solution would be for the teams to create a place to donate for them to buy the umts_everest version if they are willing.

Hey hashcode I know you have many other projects going on, but I was wondering if there is any chance you would help out with the HTC amaze. I a, in the Georgia army national guard and would be willing to contribute at least 100 dollars seeing as I am being deployed here shortly. The source code was just released and I would kill for AOSP because I cannot stand sense. If not I understand. I just thought I would give it a shot seeing the great work you've done with the fire.

No disrespect to Hashcode but I believe he has a different mobile device that he's producing for. And he's already pioneered change for the kindle fire, there are other devs that have worked on the Amaze and made great progress, like EclipzeRemix has made some awesome AOSP based ROMs for the Amaze. =] You should try them.

I'm using speedrom now lol. Its mostly aosp but it still runs off sense. I guess the main purpose of this is me being impatient and trying to bribe someone to do it faster lol.

I honestly kind of just feel like posting here until it goes up. I dont know what kernel Unjust was talking about with vanir though, he mentioned we had to flash a kernel to get some things working in another thread. So I wont flash it until I know what he is talking about.

I've tried to give descriptions to all the that deviate from a std devil kernel, and referencing the ROM too if anyone needs better clarification...
Been thinking about cleaning up my OP some,,,, we have so many more choices then when i started it, it was only 'devil or cm',,, no twrp and no mixtures of recoveries and kennels,,,
Plus with kernel control apps,,, most were only going with one or two,,, so i searched and tried to push the envelope, spent tons of hours testing what apps would work with the kernel since jb had broken some of those beloved features,,, but i think most understand now and have their favorite...

Tried the Vanir ROM, had a few problems with it. I could not toggle WiFi on/off. None of my root apps could obtain root access. Several issues with Superuser
I felt I needed to put up this thread due to the confusion of what can and cannot be posted in the other kernel threads. I would like to say a HUGE thank you to all the devs involved and the kernel testers. I am finally making use of the kernel thanks to epinters 10.1 ROM. Woah what a difference its like a new phone and still only alpha!!!! So to all the devs and the testers you are achieving things that I have seen go stagnant or fail on other projects for other platforms so many many many times. I hope this thread will help you all feel valued. This has to be one of the more hardcore coding projects and you are achieving milestones and a great rate. So if everyone would like to give thanks to those involved please use this thread so the devs will get the pats on the backs they deserve.
If a mod could add a complete list of the devs that would be great or if Kristian or epinter can send me a complete list I'll add it to the post, complete with their roles would be nice.
So once again your achievements truly are great may your success continue

Oh make no mistakes I'll will be making a donation, had I been working I would have already. I just think its important for the devs to read words of thanks, encouragement and praise for their efforts. I've posted in other threads before showing my admiration for what the devs have achieved only to have it deleted and my post I believed help give some idea to other users how difficult a task had been taken on. So please people if you feel the devs should receive a pat on the back then please post in this thread

I too greatly appreciate the effort of these devs. I'm running the CM10.1 build by epinter and company, and it's really incredible.
I just wish I had the rights to post my bugs/tweaks/comments directly in the dev forum...
OK been on epinters 10.1 7-12-13 version for about 24 hrs. All I can say is the development has been fantastic and this version is very stable for me. Just keeps getting better and better. Fantastic results guys please keep up the amazing work
