Hopefully this will be useful for when the Note II starts arriving to impatient people (like myself) who have pre-ordered the Note II, there shouldn't be any chance of increasing any binary counters either.

I'm pretty sure that is only on Verizon version. As the gs3 was the first and only locked bootloader.

Hey all
Someone gave me a Verizon Galaxy S. Is this a fascinate??
Anyway, I'm in the UK and this thing is CDMA :-( Any suggestions of what to do with it?
Yes it is. I would root it and unlock it if possible. The i would install a custom kernel and rom.
Btw i have a tmobile galaxy s, but the things you can do should be the same.

How do you guys know it's a fascinate from that small amount of info? There are a lot of Galaxy S variants.

Because he said "Verizon Galaxy S" , so it must Fascinate
For OP : I live in Southeast Asia and im using Fascinate, just unlock the device and then inject with my local carrier (CDMA for sure), voice, sms, and data work perfectly.
Woah, Wait up guys, you seem to have forgotten something!
The Fascinate is not the only Galaxy S phone on Verizon! The Samsung Continuum (Crappy in comparison, no AMOLED) is also labeled as a Galaxy S!
OP, take off the back cover and take out the battery and tell us what is says for model, if it says SGH-i500 it's a Fascinate.

My story is supported by note, s2,s3. So only people with those phones can use it.
Sent from my GT-N7000 using XDA
Unfortunately a pretty useless app.
I did not see that mentioned in the publicity.
That's always the problem with such proprietary software. If they really want mystory to be used they will have to release it for non Samsung phones too. Without support for other phones it is going to disappear sooner or later. I for example do not know one single person I can send mystory messages. I don't even know why I installed it

Does anyone know if the galaxy note 2 will be released on t mobile when the other carriers also get it?
Sent from my SGH-T989 using Xparent Cyan Tapatalk 2
Not to be a ****, but you may want to wait until there is an announcement of such a device's existence before inquiring about what carrier it will be on.

The galaxy note should be on tmobile on jully 11th from what ive read....i think...Anyways if you are talking about a Galaxy Note 2, then it just doesnt exist at the moment. Plus what the guy about said. I was just saying just incase it was a typo

Like others have stated, the first Galaxy Note is coming to T-Mobile next month, so I would say its safe to assume that it probably will, but then again like everyone already said it's better to wait till they actually announce it...officially.

The next generation of galaxy note will only be a bigger version of the s3 with a few additional features, so if you don't like the s3, you won't like the next galaxy note.

Samsung announces a new test update but don't mentioned what devices
http://www.sammobile.com/2013/06/19/sammobile-prepare-your-flagship-device/
Galaxy s2 is a flaghship device
And galaxy s2 was sold 40 million
http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Samsung_Galaxy_S_II
Lets hope that 4.2.2 will arrive but a test update means a leak
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda premium
Possibly, it may come for S2.
Galaxy SII
hoping... :fingers-crossed:
I saw somewhere a post that it will come but this is the last time. It means that there won't be a 4.3 and 5.0 and so on s2
Anyway happy AOSP

Isn't this a test update?? S3 already got 4.2.2 leak so it is our turn now. This is probably a leak of 4.2.2 and not a stable version.

I hope you are wrong.
s3 got 4.2.2 a long time ago, including leaks and official ones.
SM was talking about leak, not official one.
Why s3 to get a leak? Why? They already got 2 leaks :what: . we should get a test firmware (leak) ... We deserve it
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda premium
The update is for the S3... If you read the News piece carefully, you'll see that it says - A "PERFECT" test update. Why "perfect"? Simply because Samsung released floppy and buggy test updates (4.2.2) a while ago for the S3, and they were a flop. So before they release the final 4.2.2 for S3, they will release a "prefect" test update.
Do you remember the time when the S2 got the LSJ Jellybean leak, and then it got yet another leak which was less buggier and optimized for S2?
Apparently, I see the same happening for the S3 here...
But don't worry, I'm sure we'll see 4.2.2 on this flagship phone one day...
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda premium
Not necessarily, there's still the #40million hash tag, and the s2 sold 40 million... The s3 sold in excess of 50.
Guess we won't know for definite until sammobile decide to share...

So from my understanding, the new galaxy watch relies on android 4.3 to work. Since this is the case, doesn't that mean that carriers NEED to push android 4.3 to our phones for the galaxy watch to work with it? And if that is the case as well, shouldn't we be seeing hints of an update really soon?
Not really. I can eee carriers hoping to release it for smart watch but smart watch will be targeted to note 3 first
I sure hope it comes soon though. If only more companies were like apple in the software control.
