I was wondering if it's just me or do you guys fall asleep with your S3 in bed? I usually read the forums till I fall asleep and naturally forget to put it on the bedside table. I end up waking up with it lost in my blanket or sleeping on top of it having it sandwiched between the bed and I. Hopefully this doesn't damage the phone or anything with it being so thin I'm afraid I might break it if the habit continues; I don't really mind the radiation. Lol.

These threads get better everyday!
Now we have sleeping with the S3.......custom vibration tips?
Since no study so far has been able to even hint at ill effects by electromagnetic radiation (and you don't care about it anyway) you're safe on that side.
I think the highest risk would be your phone falling off your bed or getting thrown out during rem sleep.
The mattress are good protectors and your weight is distributed across the body so I don't see a very high risk there but it's still possible.
You could set yourself an alarm with eg 30min snooze intervall (Alarmclock xtreme is good at such configurations) to wake you up.
Ultimately the decision is between you getting less sleep to protect the devi(e or the device running the risk of damage.
Anternatively you could get one of those badass case protectors but they make the phone feel clunky.

I often take it out to check a message and put it back only to take it back out to check the time.
But my real bad habit is probably taking it to the toilet with me. Haven't dropped it yet and give it a wipe with disinfectant once in awhile.
I never take it to bed though, wife would **** a brick.

Hello everyone
Well, I've had my Galaxy for about six weeks now & I'm deeply madly in love with it, best phone I've ever had.
Yesterday I was playing some games on it with my friends, GPS, WiFi maybe Bluetooth were on, it was charging as well, then phone started overheating, it got hot, like very very hot, but we didn't stop, minutes after that -believe it or not- it started melting down, it was even possible to reshape it with my hands, I then turned it off and unplugged the battery.
Scary ha?? I can swear to you guys, this is the worst nightmare I've had in months, yep, it was a dream a bad one.
Sorry to scare you guys, but, c'mon, I mean Melting Down!!! Anyway, when I woke up, I was so happy that I kissed my Galaxy

Mine fell or something, can't remember exactly what happened.
At first there was just a small crack. No biggie and I didn't really worry about it.
But the next time I looked the crack had grown to a bullet hole. I could look through the hole. Now I was really worried! Would the guarantee cover this?

Not a bad dream ....just a bad experience ! Meltdown!!!
for no obvious reason my completely STOCK razr hd melted down while i was showing someone how one would boot into recovery even though mine had no recovery i got the android exclamation then powered down from there once powered down it began to heat up drastically to the point of me watching the inside of the audio jack melt then me not being able to even hold it.obviously the phone is ruined and i feel pretty discouraged considering i had only had the phone about 3 months does anyone have any idea why this wouldve happened ? also does anyone have any old android they would want to trade for a melted down razr hd cause i need a phone maybe a 1st generation atrix or something similiar seeing as how i also have the lapdock ..thx in advance..jsn

I've revived a phone by doing that, with one twist---
put the phone, completely covered in dry uncooked rice, with battery removed, in an oven set on the lowest setting--NO HIGHER THAN 200 degrees-- for about 20 minutes. Remove, let cool for an hour, repeat.
Let sit overnight, replace battery, and see what happens.
((((disclaimer--try this at your own risk--has worked for me a couple times))))
Something about putting my baby, broken or otherwise, into the oven just seems.... So wrong lol

Hi All,
I also dropped my phone in the toilet. The twist to my story is that I pooped on it. I mean I pooped a lot. It was not at all solid, very loose and sporadic. I have to admit that I had corn just before. The rice seems to dry it out fine, but what about the smell? I feel as though I am speaking into a sphincter. Constant licking has not improved my situation. It has inspired me to create a corn kernel theme though.

True but the rain would interupt with the capacitive screen making it nearly impossible to use in the rain anyway.
But this does look promising. Hope it starts rolling out on devices this year!

To be honest I haven't noticed that, but considering the fear of getting the bloody thing wet im not surprised.
Not dying in the wet it half way towards usable in the wet at least
(and considering when we get rain over here, we really get rain, bloody hell!)
(Also that's a stupidly good movie, gotta love Simon Pegg and Nick Frost)
Hey guys
Just got the phone and i have to say it works great, but battery life sucks if you go outside in the sub-zero temperatures. It dies in a few minutes! WHY doesn't samsung make a sub-zero resistant battery?
And frost easily collects on the screen, better buy a screen protector for that.
Anyone else notice wild penguins love to claw the phone? They must seem its a fish or something, if you leave it outside they peck it like its no tommorow.
Here are some pics.
Dawg, like you have it rough. I got the white version. I stepped outside to feed my penguins and I dropped it! I can't find it at all.

Better watch out if you have it on vibrate, the penguin might have eaten it an the vibrations might get him off. They are a vicious animal when aroused.

This story is fishy too. He left the phone plugged in his garage while he went for a drive to pick up his daughter. Who leave there phone at home when they have to go pick up there kids. Seems a bit intentional if you ask me. Also who plugs their phone in to charge out in the garage?

Read my last post and look at the pics in the recall thread in the main Note7 forum. Something doesn't make sense. All three phones that fried I found pics of overheated similarly. Yet the plastic home button which is less than an inch away from the battery didn't melt. Plastic melts at 170 degrees. That's 5 degrees hotter than chicken should be cooked to eat safely. The digitizer (plastic) didn't even fry on one of the phones; the right side is completely intact. And I'm guessing the event should it occur is brief. The chemical reaction that causes the battery to fry happens, the battery is killed, and it and the phone start to cool. Even if its plugged in the parts on the phone that receive current will have been killed in the incident. There are two questions: 1) will it happen to my phone?, and 2) what will happen if it does? Based on what I've been able to dredge up I don't think the odds of "1" are as high as it's being made out to be and the damage caused by "2" seems to be pretty contained. Unless of course you want to get out of your car loan or mortgage.
