Has anyone here noticed the transparency option is not available in Windows 8 RTM anymore?

In Windows 8 Release preview, transparency still exists but in Windows 8 RTM it's not available anymore
There's still transparency at the taskbar but it's not that transparent and transparency in every window are not available
I tried the registry hack to enable transparency but it's way too bugged and transparency is useless
Anyone here can make transparency become available again in windows 8? Microsoft should make this optional, not removed... -__-

We all know about this. The short answer is:NO!
The long answer is maybe, if someone with really l33t h4xxz0r skil1z can actually hack transparency back in. Probably not. I would just go back to windows 7.
Well ppl are working on it and u are right ... this is a change from RP to RTM ...
Well there is a hack as u might assume ...which involved replacing the related files in RTM from RP .... to get the desired effect in RTM ... some chinese guy came up with this ... but since this involves replacing core system files ...this is deemed dangerous ....
Well ...ppl are working on safer alternatives ...

Now, I still can't seem to work out which file overlays the brightness bar (video call => click brightness button). If anyone can help me on that I can then finish off the skin.
Note that the installation cab overwrites your phcanrc.dll in your windows directory. You might like to back that up first.

Is this project still alive at all? Im having issues with this not displaying anything correctly on a Touch. Worked on a cooked rom, but i installed in on a new rom that didnt have it and now it looks all jacked up.

Its basicly a different visual clock, to read the hours see the left vertical columns and for the minutes see the right 5-rows columns.
The PDF on the site above explains it better...
To use:

- 5 colors to choose from, just press the bottom bar to change colors.
- If you prefer a 12-hour clock, simply click the left numbers after 13h.
- Exit with enter (keypad) or by pressing the top-right area.
- See the "normal" digital clock and date by pressing anywhere else on the screen.
Notes:

- Needs FLASH 7, if it doesnt exit properly, you dont have it.
- Attached the CAB, already with the WM6.5 icon on install.
- Also added a separated swf file, to see it run on your NOKIA, PC or Throttle Launcher..

Just wondering... what is the program you are using for these standalone apps? I could probably use the same thing to make my own FlashGadgets play as standalones, which would make them work across a broader series of device platforms. i cant find a simple calc with digit group since WinMo (ex: 1000000 => 1.000.000) , why is this not a standard? waiting for your update

I would tone the blue down a little bit, it seems just a little too bright when compared to WP7, and the numbers look a bit stretched too.

My idea is very basic and easy though, it's like adding a Desktop wallpaper on you Windows XP/Vista/7 via the registry method!
which basically is string -> c:\documents\blablabla\customimage.jpg
On windows phone more probably would be like this
I got the tweak base that you make the black background to silver and added this path but nothing!

What is the value though???? String?? value?? dword maybe???

Reason why it doesn't work is cause it's most likely relocked itself. Unlock it again and it should work....

The point is tha MS disables Background wallpapers and i want to enable them because i want to and it's nice i guess!

Currently applications living in the Win32 world don't have any access to the WinRT side of the system. As they don't know anything about the existence of Live Tiles they also can't feed them with data.
If that is what you meant by "Live Tile" - a tile that actually IS LIVE.

That solution might geht reversed whenever the .exe is overwritten during an update of the Application, some Applications (Skype for example or games) do an integrity check on launch which is likely to fail when the exe gets modified and lastly updates of applications might fail due to incremental updates and again a modified exe file. So my suggestion would be to create a backup before trying this out. Should solve your problem though (and if it still works like in XP were the first icon in the exe file is used this explains why you don't find a way in the registry, etc. to change it).
I probably explained it badly, the aim is not to have a live tile but a mere static one, making it more aesthetically coherent with WIN8 metro apps..
As somebody wrote above the Icons should be bigger in the RTM version as Microsoft is still working on parts of the UI - we'll have to see.
As for actually changing them, did you try my suggestion or didn't that lead to any new conclusions?
