Battery life way better in ICS 4.0.3 - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 General

I have compared two firmwares of different regions as ICS 4.0.3 and ICS 4.0.4.
I have then found that 4.0.3 has the incredible battery life than ICS 4.0.4.
Except the pinch zoom bug in ICS 4.0.3 everything seems perfect.
I'm using Hydracore Kernel on both Firmwares.
I've decided to stick on 4.0.3.

I get superb batterylife with 4.0.4 XXLRQ + HydraCore 4.3b. The rom is also super smooth. Best experience with note so far.

usually cm9 or cm9 kangs as my rom.
now the kernel is the tricky part. its almost always Trinity, but i can use 3 or 4(or more) different versions of trinity in a day. teuv is usually my while-im-at-work kernel, but i can be using t11, t132, or t144 at any given point in the day. sometimes all of them in a day. t144 is usually the kernel i like to use when im playing around. what i like about them is that they work as intended. they are all bare bone kernels(ics versions) therefore dont contain any mods that we've all gotten used to. but that also means that the trinity kernels dont contain any introduced bugs either(that many kernels wrestle with). i know ive not really explained anything, it is what it is

A CM9 .01 or whatever the heck it is. Kernel just using the one that came with it

I'm using kangs8 ics with eugene kernel speedy5. my favourite combo so far!
I'm using HAKA's KANGY v8 atm, pretty nice I have to say, occasional bug whilst flashing, but probably down to TWRP than anything.
I'm normally running Eugene's speedy kernel, fast, smooth and stable, the right balance of them all. Quite like the Matr1x as well.
I'm using Peter Alfonso's ICS with his stock kernel,no problems so far,the best ics rom out there !
Peter Alfonso is the way to go! to me he had the best GB rom and his ICS nightlies are nothing short
http://download.peteralfonso.com/
I'm using the latest CM9 kang + trinity t11 and it's smooth for me.
I'm using the Virtuous Quattro ICS RC2 ROM
Advanced Info shows kernel version as:
[email protected] #2
The only issue I have come across which is quite annoying is most videos are extremely laggy- this is irritating because its how I overcome my commute to and from work. For example the opening video sequence for Asphalt 6 HD is extremely laggy but the game plays flawlessly! I have a coupe of avi files on my device as well and they have the same problem. Sound is fine...
Apart from this everything so far functions flawlessly.
I've been using KANGY8 and SPEEDY5 up to now its been the smoothest with no reboots. Rom is butter smooth and that kernal is just crazy stable and fast. Best so far and I've flashed so many rom and kernal combinations.
I'm using AOSP+ rom with Steve Garon's kernel. I actually downclocked to 800Mhz and it gives me better battery life and it is smooth enough.

I tried the new cm9 with matrix 14.5 and it was not stable for me. Then I tried the new gummy nexus and that rebooted every time as well lol.
AKOP 19 with any kernel or cm9 rc0 with glados have been my best combos

Hi, currently my i9023 is installed with stock ICS (ROM and kernel) and frankly, I'm quite satisfied with the performance. The battery performance is, I think, comparable with that of the stock gingerbread.
But now I'm looking for custom kernel to make battery performance even better. Do you guys have any experience what is the most suitable kernel for stock ICS, especially in battery performance area? With so many options to choose for (matr1x, kangs, eugene, and the list goes on and on... ), sometimes it can get confusing ....

Good roms for battery

Can anyone give me some advice on some good roms with good battery life?
i use my phone mainly for music talking and texting and the ics rom im using now cant even last 2 hours of solid music playing
Any rom ideas? (im not scared to go back to a gb rom)
Sent from my Inspire 4G using Tapatalk
You could give miui a try. I don't know how it will respond to listening to music since I use it differently, but it is the rom that has given me the best battery life without needing to change kernels or any of that. Miui 2.3.7

ARHD
Try Android Revolution 6.3.2, don't go for version 7.x as it slightly consumes more battery.
I nearly tried all ROMs. Best battery life ive seen is ER3BUS XL. Try it with full wipe you wont regret that.

I got the best battery life for an ICS ROM using Ice cold sandwich.
But ARHD 6.3.2 outperforms Ice Cold Sandwich in terms of battery life in my opinion. I didn't like the battery consumption using ARHD 7.0.3
Wcx no O.C has awesome battery life and comes in 2 flavors of 3.0 and 3.5 sense

CM 7.2 RC1 with LordModUE 8.9b7 kernel. Best I've ever had on an AOSP ROM. I get the same battery life with AOSP as I do with Sense ROMs like Android Revolution HD, sometimes better. CPU settings are smartassv2 governor with 122-1152 MHz frequency range. There's a ROM called VictoryMod 2.7 which is CM7.2 with the kernel I mentioned and some build.prop tweaks for performance and battery life. It's like an all-in-one ROM without having to flash CM, kernel and add build.prop tweaks yourself.

So is there a non-touchwiz ICS ROM for I/O Tabs?

So I've been waiting for the ICS roms to drop and was overjoyed when it finally did. I have the Google I/O 10.1 Tab everyone got last year and loved it a little more because it was not "touchwized".
So I went ahead and downloaded [ROM] P7510XXLPH [17.07.2012][Android 4.0.4][XEU] and installed without a hitch. Everything working beautifully but I quickly realized I was now touchwizzed
Anybody else have the I/O tab used a different rom? Is there another stock rom that I could use?
I had always chosen not to root so I could get the ICS update but since this could be the last official update we get, is a cyanogen rom a better option?
Im very disappointed us io users didnt get a offical update... yet and i doubt we will

Just would have been nice to get a vanilla ICS since it was never a touch wiz device.
I guess the 5,000 is a small minority.
Is there even a vanilla 10.1 rom?
The jb asop and cm10 previews are nice.

CM9 is a pure ICS ROM you can give it a try. The only issue is the non-working front facing camera due to Samsung driver issues. The back camera is working with the latest experimental build at the DROID Basement Web site. It looks and feels great without the bloated Samsung apps and the horrible Touchwiz interface.

Lag after updating to cm 9 stable release

Hey guys,
I have installed cm9 rc2 on my transformer and it was working great. However when I installed a stable release of cm 9 the other day i have noticed quiet a bit of lagging and general 'non-smoothness'. Any ideas?

I had the same issue running Megatron which is CM9 based. I didn't know any better until I loaded revolver in a last ditch effort to solve my constant browser hang. It performs so much better I cant even explain it. I used to be jealous of my brothers smooth and quick ipad 2...which always confused me because the tf101 is faster. Stick with asus based roms. they just work better.
Nice one..... so what version of revolver are you using? What version of android is it based on? And have you had any problems at all? Thanks in advance
Sent from my Nexus 7 using XDA Premium HD app
Revolver 4.1.1. It's ICS based...jellybean roms are a while away from being reliable. Only "issue" I have is that there's no dual battery meter for the dock ...if that even qualifies asan issue. The amount of problems it's solved for me is greater. I'm also using guevor's kernel. All the info you need is in the revolver thread in the development forum.

Super Stable Nexus S Rom?

Hi everybody,
i'm looking for a super stable and long lasting.
I found a lot of topic about "best rom", but they are plenty of little different request like gaming, music playng ecc.
I don't have any of these request, i just require a rom that will stand on without crashing the maximum numbers of hours. Actually my maximum is around 400h with cyanogenmod, i wondering if others rom could do better times.
Thanks for your attention!
CM10?
I used CM 10 to achieve my record.
I wonder if there were others roms with better result (even GB ones)
For gingerbread try oxygen rom it was the most stable rom for me and I came back to it a few days ago I haven't rebooted in the past few days with no slow downs and it still smooth

I have bad luck with slim bean, i tried it before and i had at least one crash/day, even with a clean install.
Another vote for Jellyshot with Marmite here.
+1 for CM10 with Marmite 8.5 kernel. I've been testing all roms... And probably the best tweaked rom i found was CM10 stable one...
+1 for CM10 and +1 for BlackBean6

Jellyshot or Slimbean gets my vote
metal dragon overlord is the most stable i've tried
paired with matr1x and it should last you a looong time
I recommend:
Rasbeanjelly 11-6-12 Paired with the _thalamus kernel
Guide based on my usage
I've used a lot of roms in my persuit for perfection.. An addiction to flash really, but I have compiled a small list of the roms I've tried. I don't have a favorite, but I have found that once you initially set up your phone, most of the "features" don't really matter. I hope this helps, and doesn't stir too much controversy as I mean no disrespect to any developer(s) as all the roms have their good points.
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0An4M6zvBOQ1KdExJMDlCZlRwem9zS29Ma1VHRWhCLXc#gid=0
On a side note, I do prefer the Devil kernel, and Marmite 8.5 (smartassv2+row)
**Updated and easier to read**
Been running rasbean for months. Even stable when OCd with morfics kernel and super smooth as well.

i'm on xenonhd and its very stable. its just the launcher that sometimes makes problems, and the homescreen is rotating to landscape if device is turned, which i have not found any way to turn off. but you can remove the google-search bar on top which is nice.
i guess another launcher would solve the problem, but i'm not aware of a launcher which is basically stock, just with the option to turn off the google search bar (and no landscape mode for homescreens). any hints?
Yeah check out nova and apex launcher.
I vote for oxygen rom if you want gingerbread.
I have been using jellyshot 3.5 w/ air kernel lately and it is great
