I am facing this strange issue now. Never faced it earlier. I had installed PA v1.6 successfully and done a Nandroid backup of it. Then I fresh installed CM9 (Sept. 4) and then I discovered that PA works better for me so I simply restored the Nandroid backup. Now it works fine but my Nook suddenly wakes up on its own and then turns off the screen again and so on....
Schematically-
1. My work is done for the day so I turn off the Nook's screen and place it on my desk.
2. 30 seconds later I see the screen is back on, on its own,
3. 5 seconds later it goes off again
4. Repeat 2 & 3
HELPPPP!! Pls. I am now trying reflashing......

I cannot connect to Kies 3 on PC to reset it because it says that the device in unsupported, which I believe means it's rooted or has a custom ROM but t doesn't it has "N9005XXUFNF4_N9005OXAFNF4_BTU" which I just installed on it last night.
I also can't get the phone working properly, it's saying it has no Sim card installed but there is. it takes 15 seconds to turn the screen back on and the screen flashes black and the phone restarts a lot, and that's just going through the setup process
When i initially booted it after Odin had finished flashing the stock Rom, it rebooted about 4 times and then started the setup wizard and instantly said that 'something setup wizard' has stopped responding about 10 times and the whole things was just glitching out.
I think what has happen is that the whole stock om is not how it should be and there are fragments of the other custom Roms and root I had on it. IDK but I also don't know what to do? I've been trying to fix my phone for 3 days now
purchased a new Galaxy S4, from sprint.
rooted using auto-root and installed teamwin recovery. all good. kept using the phone flawlessly for three days.
was going to flash CM10.2 through the recovery when i noticed the big button in the CyanogenMod home advertising the installer.
since this phone is compatible, then decided to try that.
CM11 installed right away and worked great, charged the phone, took a couple pictures, great.
then an update was requested to the ROM, so i installed it.
that update resets all my settings, so i started downloading all my apps and applying the settings again.
when the phone was around 18% of charge, i plugged the phone and nothing happened.
tried another phone with stock android in the same charger and everything went well fine so, i turned off the
SGS4 and plugged it again.
it vibrated once, (like it was about to start charging) but nothing happened. a few seconds later, it vibrated again, and that went on and on...
turned back on the phone in recovery, i noticed that TeamWin was replaced by ClockWorkMod recovery.
wiped Dalvik, cache and did a factory reset. turned phone back off and plugged the charger.
now it vibrates once, the screen lights up, a drained battery shows up and nothing happens, (just like it froze there).
the phone is not taking charge and its dead jim. doesn't have enough charge to power on.
havent tried anything else.
any clues or workarounds?
please and thanks.
EDIT: downgraded to CM10.2.1 and installed chronic kernel for CM10.2, problem solved.
Hi guys!
I've been rolling MIUI on my Note 3 since the first builds came out without any problems at all. However, today as I was driving to work as usually my Note 3 have been acting weird. I always put it on my pocket when I'm driving, and when I arrived to work and I grabbed it I discovered that the screen was completely black and the physical buttons weren't working, surprised I took the battery off and I restarted it. It has never happened to me before so I was a bit scared. After the reboot it froze again and neither the screen or the physical buttons were working. When I reboot it the phone works for a few seconds, if I don't touch it all it doesn't freeze but as soon as I enter my PIN code it freezes after a couple of seconds. Fortunately, I can enter the Recovery Mode without any trouble, the phone doesn't freeze in the Recovery Mode. I also tried to flash a new version of MIUI that I had saved on the phone but it does freeze as well. I haven't changed or installed any new apps, I haven't done anything at all between today and yesterday. I have ran off of ideas about what to do. I'll try to flash differents ROMs as soon as I get home. What else can I do guys?
I'll leave some details in case you guys are interested:
- MIUI version: MIUI v5 - 4.9.5
- Recovery: PhilZ Touch Recovery
- Note 3: htle
It just came to my mind that in the past I used ODIN to flash the stock Samsung firmware because my good ol' S3 wasn't booting properly, perhaps I could use ODIN the flash the stock firmware on my Note 3?
Thanks for your time guys!
Hi
Some time ago my ZUK started to get those morning freezes (and didn't wake me up!). Just black screen (sometimes with led on) and I had to do hard reset each time (vol down and power). Sometimes these freezes appeared during the day but most of the time at night.
I checked two different custom roms and that didn't help (even when I installed from qfil 1.9).
Then I installed stock rom (also qfil 1.9 and then OTAs) and it's been few days without freeze the stock rom it terrible but at least wakes me up in the morning...
So if you have similar issues then try stock rom
I'm using my S7 Edge for nearly 5 years now and everything was smooth with the N8 Port V9 since last year.
I was on chrome yesterday and then the phone freezed and restart but just with the logo samsung and powered by Android.
I've to put in Recovery Mode or Down + power (keep in charge few seconds and restart) to have a fool boot.
Then it worked perfectly yesterday night and today.
Saved everthing into my Samsung account excepted SMS and MMS (too long !)
Took pictures today, bluteooth, snapchat .. everything worked back perfectly until tonight where the phone freezed back and even with the previous method, it freezes after couple of minutes.
So, using TWRP, save the whole internal memory and swipe system + dalvik cache and installed N8 Port V10 Rom over wihtout full wipe. It freezed at 73% .. tried again and it freezed at 100%. Tried it a last time, and ya, this one was the good one. The phone booted up and applied app updates.
Then tried to install a sms backup app and then freezed again and this time, the fatal one, unable to turn the screen on ... With any buttons combination ...
Going to buy a new phone tommorrow.
Any idea why it goes suddently wrong ?
Any way to backup sms and mms throught abd command ?
If ot boots up later, I'll try a stock rom from odin to see if it's hardware or software
