Check back in a few hours!
**Update, this tread will be retired and locked come this Thursday 1/5/2012
Read between the lines, and you will see that a brand new thread in its place will be posted, complete with a yummy new alpha of ICS for our dedicated fans to enjoy... We thank you for your patience, after this alpha goes out we believe tere will be more frequent releases and postings
Stay tuned, but from what I've seen so far we have many surprises in store for our next release, and you, is ICS nirvana just around the corner? Check back on thursday!
Please don't take this to mean we've fixed every outstanding bug, but we have made major core improvements, and fixed some of the big "items"
We are seaking anyone with expeirence working HAL's and drivers.. if you are interested please PM me.
TTFN!!
** Update ** Work around for voice search
It appears that voice search is broken in several AOSP roms, during my research I managed to get voice search working, however its the older version (prior to ICS). So far it seems to work fine!
So until Google fixes (or we do hah) do this to get voice search to work
Download
Voice_Search_2.1.4
Go to the location the this file was downloaded and from a terminal (linux/mac) or the command prompt (windows)
Code:
adb shell
su (if not root)
rm /system/app/VoiceSearch.apk
reboot
Then side load adb Voice_Search_2.1.4
Code:
adb install Voice_Search_2.1.4.apk
After the install click on the microphone icon near search at the top left of the home screen, accept the permissions (you have to do this a few times, 3 by my count), don't panic if it asks a few times, it does stick.
Enjoy!
** Update** Happy New Year XDA and esp our friends with the Galaxy Tab 8.9! is this the year of the droid? We shall see!
Hey everyone I wanted to give everyone an update and general goings on! Im sorry to inform you that there will not be a New Years alpha, but we will have something for you all very soon after.
Here is a taste of what early 2012 will bring to Alpha 2.
1. We have decided to use ASOP source rather than Cyanogen Mod, this is primarily why there hasn't been a new release since xmas. After reviewing some of the initial bugs, and reflecting on what we accomplished in under 4 days, we decided we wanted the focus of this rom to become "best in breed" optimized for the Galaxy Tab 8.9. Meaning we are going to cherry pick the best features of both to create the best possible experience, with the lightest footprint, and most importantly stock ICS launcher! NoWiz, no Trebuchet. So far it has yielded very positive results.
2. Moving to ASOP and stock launcher has fixed one of the big bugs, automatic home screen orientation. I know more than a few of you were hoping this would be resolved fast, well there.. happy now?
3. MTD
4. General cleanup and optimizations have resulted in improved launcher response, it feels more fluid and less laggy...
5. Our repo is nearly finished, we are just ironing out some manifest bugs, when alpha2 arrives, so will our git links!
6. We have chosen a team name! Galaxian-Soup!
Thanks for supporting us, and we look forward to celebrating a "Droid 2012".
In the spirit of openness, if you would like to use our rom in your work please credit us in your OP and release notes. Our git repo should be up soon.
***Update*** Xmas Dinner Edition ***
Updated links to a 1.1 version, I added the livewallpaper.apks and re-zipped, no other changes.
and a newer version of Google Apps, seems to be more stable, but I've only been using it an hour, let us know!
Good Morning and Merry Christmas!
Is there something in your stocking for your GT7310? Well Santa Clause (in the form of _Motely, nycbjr, poisike, termleech (still need a team name!)) is delivering the first public alpha!
This build has been tested on the 7310 (Gtab 8.9 wifi, no 3g), and 7300 with no 3g (3g is being looked at).
Standard YMMV tag: You are flashing this at your own risk, make a nandroid backup first! If this breaks your tab we are NOT responsible.. now go play and have fun!
ICYXMAS-p5wifi-alpha1.1-cwm
icyGapps V2
Alpha V1 - ICYXMAS!
ICS 4.0.3_r1 vanilla
Rooted, deodexed,
Includes motley kernel v2e beta (see his thread for git details)
WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth
Installation:
In CWM recovery, clear your data/factory reset
Clear the dalvik cache (under advanced, or under the wipe menu in overcome cwm)
Flash the provided zip using CWM recovery
Flash gapps from CWM recovery
Bootup and setup your Google account
Install cpu control of choice, and set to interactive governor (this is required!)
*tested SetCPU, No-frills CPU control, and Antuantu.
Give it a chance, this is a deodexed ROM and will boot slow the first time and when you use apps the first time.
Doesn't work/Limitations:
WiFi-only, but 3G will be looked at for a future version (no ETA at the moment)
Camera doesn't work, don't know when or if it can be fixed.
Some video limitations, youtube HD vids not working. Some stuttering will occur until we get the kinks out.
Charger screen doesn't look correct when you plugin without booting up (charging status)
Voice search doesn't work - May have something to do with this error:
W/PackageManager(257): Failure retrieving resources forcom.google.android.voicesearch: Resource ID #0x0
Probably more that we haven't listed, this is an alpha - please let us know.
Team members:
nycbjr - project manager, dev (first working build), testing/troubleshooting
motley - lead dev, p5 device tree, final build, kernel development
poisike - pioneer testing with other tegra ICS ROMs, testing/troubleshooting
termleech - testing
Credits:
Google - for the releasing the OS
Cyanogen Mod Team - for their awesome git repo and developers. We used the p4 device tree as a starting point.
We would like to offer our p5 device if they are interested.
Samsung for the awesome device and kernel source (for HC 3.1 at least)
digetx - for pointing us in the right direction on the green frame buffer fix!
alterbridge - for his CWM Recovery port for 73xx.
JaeCar99 - for the sweet "Blue Hallway" bootanimation
I'm looking forward to a fully working ICS rom But a good thing takes time. Keep up the good work, guys!
great to see this development start

I would never turn down any help, I'm very new at this (long time sysadmin, but only been a droid head since march hah).
Only caveat is you will need approval from motley before I can release anything to you, for now you can PM me and I will give you my aim/gchat and offline email, but I think we should setup an IRC, or aim/gmail chat to make this go faster.
As this is coming from CM9 sources I need to contact them too, I don't want to flub any licensing issues, etc, and maybe they will want to help, or us to help them!
Awesome! Thanks fellers!
great work

As far as WiFi, the P4 (Galaxy 10.1) uses a broadcom 4329 and we (the P5) uses the newer 4330. This is where the challenge will come it. When I get a better look at the Android code and have a flash up and running, hopefully it will become clear if something needs to be done on the kernel side or the Android side. If we start making good progress, we will need to get a git setup for our P5 stuff so we can share changes and files etc.

I don't know... I just flashed my P7300 with P7500 rom and wifi driver loads just fine. I only edited the build.prop and used a kernel from overcome rom, i didn't touch anything else. Also if you look in \system\etc\wifi you will see that both 7500 and 7510 roms have bcm4330 files there, so it looks to me that the wifi card is the same as our.
I also tried the kernel you sent me with 7500 rom and wifi driver still loads.
this is awesome guys.. after the posts yesterday and staying up till 3:Am , I got the sucker booting.. of course that was it though. Great to see this post today.. Sounds like it's not too far off.. at least for me wifi would be the only thing left that's important since I havent touched the camera app or bluetooth yet.

right, I'm going back over the source, and the board config, some wifi stuff seems commented out. I know I need to get on irc.. but work interjects lol..
for the record on linux to use broadcom it has to extract the firmware for the card, I don't think it has to for droid as in this case the firmware is provided to us. I should probably stop spinning my wheels and go back and read/learn more about how android treats these things.
I am all ears however, anyone with debugging exp can have the rom with permission to use the kernel from motly.
I don't think that the problem is in your build. I have tried 3 different builds and they all have the same error:
Code:
ERROR/WifiStateMachine(168): Failed to load driver!
ERROR/WifiStateMachine(168): DriverFailedState
So it looks to me that the problem is in kernel. Of course i could be wrong.
Also it looks to me that the bcm4330 driver source is posted on github (https://github.com/cyanogen/galaxy-2636/tree/ics/drivers/net/wireless/bcm4330), so i hope _motley finds time to take a look.

Sorry, I misspoke, the 10.1 does indeed use the 4330 like us...been looking at Iconia, Xoom, and ASUS TF1 ROMs too much lately.
Well other than the green screen affect, wifi, camera, bluethooth this thing really runs well.
HC was a pig for memory, as I noted on my Acer when I ran ICS for a bit, memory mamagment is hugely improved over honeycomb, I never had more than 200mb free on a regular basis, with ICS its well over 400mb.
and the thing really cooks along, I snap in and out of screens really fast, and angry birds works! haha
I will spend some time tonight on wifi, and making a new build.
poisike I'll setup irc tonight, I may have to rebuild the macpro, who knew running an os other than apple would cause a problem lol..

The otapackage build does spit out a file called "kernel" would that help you any?
I can drop it in my dropbox
actually there is a boot.img.cm9 in my alpha zip you have, but I can still upload just the file called kernel if yoi think it would help.
also once I have my macpro back in op I'm not against setting up accounts for you and poisike, or setting up our own git repo, would be beneficial to work against the same source once we zero in and attempt to create a working port for everyone.
oh and btw, your OC settings work, running ICS at 1.4ghz
This is great news!! Once the wifi is working, I'll be using this as my daily driver. Will this be a completely AOSP project or still based on TouchWiz. I wish I could have stock e-mail, calendar, etc.
Excellent news! I will be waiting patiently....

That sounds like it is just the zImage binary for their build, I think I remember seeing it there too. It won't do me any good. Sounds good about the repo. I can still browse the repos to look at code as necessary for the time being. Glad to hear that the OC is is still working good.
I just sent poisike a 3G kernel with the touchscreen fix so he can start working on that end.

Hello people,
I was looking through the nightly builds on download.cyanogenmod.com
I saw a fresh build for TF101 dated for 2/27.
Check it out. I will flash it and see how it is.
Someone also needs to create an Official CM9 Nightly page in Dev section.
So who wants to be the Guinea pig? I'm already running that KANG that was posted up earlier this weekend. I may try it after I charge up.
yea...guinea pig here....goes through boot animation and then system ui and trebuchet (the launcher) fc...i would say stay away until some official announcement is made
Yeah. It doesn't even boot up probably. :-(... going back to stock

You have to start somewhere.
Now at least we have an official CM9 branch, which means someone is working on it

I got launcher force closes when i had an overclocked kernel with a stock rom. Gonna check this out a little later.

I'm surprised that this news seems to be not generating much buzz here. Not knocking any of the other devs, because most of them do amazing work, but CM is the bee's knees. When those nightlies get semi-mature, I'll be running them and never look back. They've never done me wrong before. Any device I've ever had that was supported, was the best ROM available for my needs. YMMV, of course.
I think when its own thread is created youll see the buzz, cm rocks lol

I tried flashing it and got the same fc, the system ui and launcher. I tried it again but formatted system this time. Got the same results but was able to see the clock and tablet reboot options.
Guess it's not ready yet

Yep, same here, even with wipe dalvik and fix permissions, FC´s :S
Let us wait for a new update....
Alas, I ran across this on get.cm also. Got excited and then had the FC issues like everyone else. At least it is a step in the right direction.
Don´t know if its related,
lost my wifi hability after trying this, anyone else?
it just won´t turn on :S
Was just about to try flashing it until I saw how many people were unsuccessful. Oh well, guess I'll wait until an official release.

Not sure if it's related or not but my wifi on a Kanged version of CM9 is acting weird, disconnecting and saying out of range.
I tried this one first but it could just be the ROM I'm on.

after running the script flashed latest revolver and got wifi backup....
Same here, will try your suggestion below.
Edit: Had to run the wipe zip, reflash and boot into current rom and the restore a backup to get it working again. PITA But it works.

i would like to see MIUI V4 on tab, as it will be easier to port than 2.x was ^_^
New official CM9 nightly on get.cm. It boots!!! Gonna test it and report back in a bit.
EDIT1: Wifi works and was able to log into my Google account. Currently restoring my Titanium Backup and will test a bit more after that. Also, camera makes the tablet reboot on first launch, but works after that. Odd. More info to come.
EDIT2: Face unlock is there, but doesn't recognize my face, so I can't test it out. It couldn't recognize my face on my Nexus S 4G either. Maybe my face is just derped up. Anyway, there is nothing that I could tell that is broken. Even the MicroSD mounted with no issue. I don't have a keyboard dock to test it out, otherwise I would. Games and videos both work fine.
Just picked up a new galaxy tablet 7.0 (8GB) about a week ago. Great device so far and love it. I just can't stand the preloaded bloatware on the device and the space its taking up. It's currently running version 4.0.4
I've read up a bit up on ROMS and rooting the device. Seem pretty comfortable with it just have a few questions.
1) Do I need an SD card in the device in order to root it?
2) Best rom out there? Appears like the most talked about rom is the Cyanogen Mod 10?
No you don't need an SD Card but you may as well get one as you will need it once you start making nandroid back ups. Your tab fill up quickly ! Not to mention media and apps on top of that as well. Bigger the better to be honest.
No such thing as the best ROM, Once you are rooted try them all out and find one that suits your needs. I love AOKP M1( link in my sig) as you can customize it more than CM10 and has better features IMO.
If you dont want to customize it , try a deodexed stock based ROM with all the bloat removed, ROMSWELL makes some cool ROMS. Search the DEV section of this forum.
As i said its a personal choice , so flash them and try them out. Wont cost you anything apart from some time..... If you need help just ask and someone will give you some advice. Don't forget to flash some GApps ( Goggle Applications) as they are not normally included in a ROM due to copyright issues.
Most of all have fun.
Oh id go for a JellyBean based ROM , nothing wrong with ICS , just the latest version out (4.2 is around the corner as well with some cool new stuff )

Thanks for the info! So the 4.0.4 is not jelly bean but its ICS?
How can I not download Jelly bean.. when I try to do an update it says its the most recent one..
I did see that some ROMS allow you to OC the device, so squeezing that extra little juice out of it I wouldn't mind either
Yeah you're trying to update "stock" and its not been released as yet to the general public.....So flash a custom ROM (once you have root)
Once you root , forget about Samsung updates as they wont work any more, But the XDA community devs do that for us much quicker than Samsung does !
Heres a rough guide from Codeworkx (CM10)
First time installing CyanogenMod 10 to your Galaxy Tab 2, or coming from another ROM:
- Make sure you're running a proper working ClockworkMod-Recovery
- Copy GApps and CM10 ZIPs to your internal SDCard ( or the external SD Card )
- Boot into Recovery
- Flash CM10 zip from internal SDCard
- Flash GApps zip from internal SDCard
- DO A DATA WIPE / FACTORY RESET
- Reboot

The ROM you are running is Ice Cream Sandwich, comes as a "stock" standard on our tabs, CM10 and AOKP are both JellyBean, Some other customs ROMs are as well. Both are under/over-clockable and both can use custom kernels as well. Both VERY stable and have very good support threads by the devs that compiled them.
How to ROOT your Tab
ClockWorkMod recovery
CM10
AOKP

Thanks for your help! Great info there. Are any of these ROMS more complex than the other? I just don't want to get into it too deep or too complex and having more of a issue getting things up and running properly or are these all the same complexity when installed? ie.. customization etc..
Aokp is very similar to CM based ROMs. They are as easy to set up as a stock ROM, only they allow for more tweaks than a factory ROM. The only thing that you have a to do with a custom rom is flash gapps(Google apps) usually in the rom thread. Read, reread, and grow a pair. The fear will turn into a high that draws you in. There is a reason that the term crack-flashing was born. It is very simple to do it on this tablet. If you have any trouble pm me, or post here, and I will walk you through it. I just did it a couple of days ago for my daughters. Good luck

At first try stable roms like AOKP JB milesone 1
As JeramyEggs said , just jump in and get wet ! They are all pretty much the same , I just prefer AOKP as I can customize it a little bit more than the others. I really dont like the way CM10 handles the navigation bar , where as AOKP lets you do as you wish to it. And I like the toggles it uses as well.
Dump stock what ever you do, Dont get me wrong I love the Samsung stock ROMs as they look stunning and the widgets are top class. The music/video players are quality. You will also gain some space on your tab as well. Stock ROMs are around 750MB and custom ROMs are normally under 200MB
Stock has no theme engine as such , that means if you want to change the way it looks ( other than wallpapers) you will have to start decompiling some system .apks ( Applications ) and it gets a tad tricky messing with .xmls.and getting it all working again.
With the theme engine in place you have 100s of themes to choose from ( over 500 in fact) and plenty of mods you can flash as well, You can even edit themes either online or on your PC with some XDA made applciations ( I use "tickle my android" personally to make themes / Edit apks like widgets n stuff )
CM10/AOKP are always being updated ( But AOKP has stopped development for the moment as I mentioned above , until 4,2 is ported) CM10 has a preview build out already. Both ROMs have a ROM control option to pimp your device up as well.
If you look through this thread , you can see most of the main ROMs and what we all do with them.
I tend to flash most of the new ROMs just to try them out. When I'm done messing around with it all I do is boot into recovery and restore my nandroid back up and I'm back to the way I was .Its kinda like system restore on a Windows PC.
Get stuck on anything , just ask as most of the forum members are all pretty cool and more than willing to help out.
My advice is......GO FOR IT !!11!!!1 What you got to lose ?

Reading some of this stuff I am overwhelmed. So in order to backup the device up I need to root it first?
I will start with the HOW TO ROOT YOUR TAB thing now and see how far I get..
So I started last night and let's say didn't get very far. Downloaded the neccessary files but for some stupid reason the Kies software (needed to install this to get the drivers installed for the tablet so I can transfer the contents to it) was not installing.
I left my laptop on during the night and it never finished installing the software. I obtained it right from the Samsung Support website.
Any idea what could be causing this?
Also, once I do get this software installed so that the device shows up under Windows Explorer so I can drag the neccessary .zip files to it. Is there a specific location on the device I should place the files on? I do not currently have a SD card in the tablet.
Oh and my device model is a GT-P3113
So I managed to install Kies.. Guess it was getting hung up on .NET framework 4. So I just downloaded and installed myself and then tried the Kies thing and it went right through the install.
So now I should be good to actually see the device in Windows Explorer once I plug it in.
My question still remains, any particular spot on the device I need to place the .zip files for rooting?

Anywhere you can easily find the tar.md5 file on your windows drive, the*cwm-root-gtab2.zip goes to*/mnt/extSdCard which is the root, don't place in a file. I rooted mine via http://rootzwiki.com/topic/25228-how-to-rooting-gt-p3113-step-by-step-updated-07182012/

Okay.. so /mnt/extSdCard is if you have a SD card in the device.
But I do not have a SDcard, that is why i am actually asking does it matter where I place the files within the tablet internal storage due to not having a micro sd card.

Well, do your own research. There is a table of contents in the 7" dev forum, go read the rooting method there and also in the general section. Also, I'm not responsible for what others post and, you can ask the other guy how he rooted his without an sd. I recommend reading about rooting before doing it. I will say this is the easiest device to root.
So I managed to root the device. Was pretty straight forward once I got going. I installed AOKP milestone 1 rom as per someones suggestion here saying it's stable. Overall it does look nicer now and smoother only a couple of questions.
1) I took a backup or the stock stuff before doing anything after performing the root. Now I noticed all the data is gone lol.. Is there anyway to get the data back? Mainly the game progress and all the other stuff?
2) I see AOKP has a theme function under it's settings, currently there is only 1 listed. Where does one obtain themes for it? It's not in the Play Store, is it?
3) Saw the overclocking option also, does that mean the overclock can be pumped up to 1200mhz?
Guess my main question now is whether or not I can get that data back lol..
If you performed a factory reset after flashing your custom ROM, which you should have anyway, I'm sorry to say you have lost your data.

Sure did.. Oh well now I'll know at least and look into the actual backup apps to backup game progress.
The .zip files I put on the table prior to rooting, like fix-recovery, the clockwork mod file as well as the actual ROM, can those be removed off the tablet now?
I played around a bit last night and I found the THEME Choose on the Play Store and I saw themes.

1) which app do you use to back up? some apps only back up apk and some other back up the data too
2) you can find aokp/cm theme on playstore, usualy nice theme will cost more
3) yes you can overclock it via ROM control on setting

Grabbing logcats and dmesg along with last_klog.
These are helpful in figuring out what is going on
Install the sdk in you PC http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html
Logcat
"adb shell logcat >logcat.txt"
This will run until unplugged or ctrl c and all the content will go into that file
dmesg
"adb shell cat proc/kmsg >dmesg.txt"
This will run until unplugged or ctrl c and all the content will go into that file
Last_klog
"adb shell cat proc/last_klog >lastklog.txt"
This is for if you have a reboot run this right after the device starts back up and it will get me the last dmesg from before it reboot and will help determine the cause of the reboot.
This will help me and everyone that uses this ROM as i can determine the cause of issues.
Thanks
Thank you for the continued HP Touchpad Development and support Flintman.

Thanks to both of you. For the roms and the video walk thru. I haven't tried art on the touchpad because it actually makes my Galaxy Nexus slower most of the time. And with some gapps it's even worse. Since it isn't listed as broken I am assuming you have tried it. If I may ask. What gapps did you use and what was performance like? It prevented my nexus from booting at times. Just wanna stick with what you have tried until I get use to the new data media and such. Thanks again.

Added another build see OP for what was changed. I also adding in a touch recovery TWRP with data/media and SELINUX support. This will also allow you access to your webOS media folder which is know in the new build as external_sd. I have tested out all the features and everything is working great but please save a full backup from your previous recovery if you decide to use this recovery as it's still in an Alpha state.
Enjoy

Okay, I am doing something wrong. I have downloaded the recovery multiple times from multiple devices. I have tried installing via TWRP and manually extracting the image to /boot.
Each attempt, I get:

Any thoughts? I can still load my backup copy of TWRP without issue.
Update:
After purging the other copies of TWRP from /boot, the new version loads without issue. Thanks flintman!
Discovered that the TP 4G not compatible with the test 3.X Kernel yet
Hey Flintman just wanted to point out my findings after going crazy over the past couple weeks trying to figure what I was doing wrong when flashing the test Kit Kat ROMs w/3.X kernel.
Previously my TP 4G was working fine on shumash's SCHIZOID 4.2.2 ROM but I was extremely eager to try out the new 3.X kernels. I first tried out your non-data/media Evervolv 4.0.0p1 version and was unable to connect to WiFi despite repeated clean install methods and variations of cache wipes. I know that I had re-sized partitions with Tailor sufficiently for Kit Kat as warned so I then attempted to try out Invisblek's CM11 ROM. Not only was WiFi still not wanting to toggle on, but the rotation sensor was acting oppositely for landscape orientations and I was getting frequent crashing reboots just going through the UI. I then decided to try out JCSullins' updated CM10.1 ROM with his 3.0 kernel and then encountered the same behavior as Invisblek's CM11 ROM, but with even worse random touch driver issues that resulted in erratic automatic screen touches and ultimately soft-reboots.
Restoring a backup to SCHIZOID's 4.2.2 ROM worked fine to restore all functionality, but I couldn't help but think that I was still doing something wrong.
I got a hold of a normal TP (WiFi only model) and tried your latest 1-10-2014 Evervolv 4.0.0p1 ROM and was amazed to see that it was working great including WiFi (although 5GHz APs don't seem to scan as reliably as the past kernel) aside from the known issues. I tried the exact same install process on my TP 4G again just to see if anything changed, but unfortunately WiFi still wouldn't toggle and the orientation sensor behavior exhibited the same opposite landscape behavior as Invisiblek and JCSullins' ROMs.
I had thought that aside from the 3G HSPA modem in the TP 4G model chipset-wise it would be identical to the WiFi-only model so kernel 3.X developments would be complimentary across all TP devices. Unfortunately this doesn't appear to be the case and I hope with time you guys are able to work out any compatibility with the 4G model to benefit from the already terrific development that's going on with the 3.X kernel now.
I admire your guys' skills and look forward to all the improvements in store!
PS: I'd be more than happy to beta test anything you guys feel would address any compatibility issues on the TP 4G!
If we flash your twrp will it remove cwm or add another entry? I've never been able to have two recoveries working. I would much rather not have to use the power button and what not all the time in cwm but want to make sure I'm covered if something goes wrong. Thanks

Due to the limit of the boot directory it will remove all recoveries before installing this one.

Sorry for the Nube question I've searched and I'm sure it's been answered already....
So I got my touchpad with ClockworkMod Recovery version 6.0.1.9 can I flash the TWRP SE data/media recovery from there? Trying with the acme installer 5ET has failed.
I do have the original 4.4 Evervolv up and running and my partitions have been updated.
Thanks

So I replaced the ulimage in the boot directory and was able to install the 1/10/14 rom. So I guess I needed to search and just try a little more.
anyway -- I think it's a little slower than the first 4.4 version.... Maybe I need to reboot.... thoughts?

Both using same cpu settings? Although with more things implemented it could seem slower.

Z,
hi again :silly:
you can run in terminal
ps
also you can also connect via adb and run adb shell, then as root [su] run
powertop
i say to do that one through adb because it doesn't display correctly and is kind of unmanagable in the tab's
terminal window.
Also try modifying you performance settings, on the updated kernel you should be set to ondemand/cfq

Also skip the powertop approach, i forgot to config in the kernel, i'll get that in the next build.
I know nothing about overclocking, yet.

Okay thanks looking forward to updates for this rom. Also I was wondering.. For the ROMs for the t530 tabs like the cm12 one they now have. What would need to be done to get it booting... I heard all the ROMs with the same board need is a working kernel.. Idk if that's right but if it is would the kernel for this ROM get the cm 12 ROM booting or does it need a new one?

For the most part that's somewhat true correct, however i haven't bothered because the roms are being packaged with the block setup
as opposed to the tried and true way and i just don't have the patience to unpack that setup and repack it.
To be truthful i think i've gotten addicted to this stuff in a slightly mentally unstable kind of way :silly:
And as such am running multiple projects at once, so if you want to chip in on trying that approach, downoad one of the
sm-t53xx builds, get it unpacked and repacked cm11 style and link me to it, a respectable site, not 4shared or dumbass gator
or any place like that, and i'll see what i can do. my current attempts with bliss keep breaking at camerawrapper issues and gps issues.
