[Q] New ICS 4.0.3 Stock ROM from Thailand

4.0.3 Firmware for Galaxy Note — DXLP9 Hi I just flashed new Ics from thailand apparently with repaired kernel, and I have a little problem it cconsist only asian languages and few versions of english , is there any way to add more european languages i.e.polish?

How do u know that he Kernel has been repaired?

You have prefix [Q]
then why you creating in general? There is already Q n A section.

Sorry for the confusion created, as it was my first post i did not strictly follow the rules , but I learn pretty quick.I could not quote the other forum cause it is allowed only once you have published 8 or 10 posts..That was just a rumour about that kernel apparentely being fixed I wanted to confirm with you guys , the pros!

Word of warning!
Word of warning ! for those who try to root thei galaxy note having this ROM what i just did , almost bricked the phone I followed Dr Ketan's guide to get root access when I flashed via 1,85 odin the file that was provided in guide, when the phone rebooted I got the message that google calendar is not accessible and something about google too, then when I try sing up with a google account when I was trying to type letters I was getting "null" word for each leter numbers were not affected,then I gave up and flashed GB with multiple CSC choice and now installing again the german version, no root yet !

If you have the "null" bug, it means your CSC is not set correctly.
If you had done a quick search you would have found plenty threads documenting this.
The easy fix is to use the dialer to access the CSC settings and set the CSC yourself.

Thanx for the reply I think so personally that I had phone with code XEU and Rom was from Thailand and I tried to root it , now I am back on a german one thanx! Maybe I will try again with this one to follow Dr. Ketan's advice! Cheerio!

Please remove warning, this is common issue. It may create unnecessary hype. Your device is not bricked.
If you hav posted it before doing anything it may solved it in just 5min.
If you find null anytime, just flash csc.with odin n use same rom as you used.for pda. Leave all pit,repartition,pda,phone field empty.
This is issue is not related to root.
This is due to wrong csc.

for all the galaxy note users in pakistan, who were waiting for official ics update in pakistan. Good news for them as samsung has released a new ics rom optimized for samsung distributed galaxy notes. Stable version with fixed emmc bug. So all the peopke who are still not stisfied with their custom rom or are still unable to find a good one or who still cant figure out how to root their note, samsung has released what they really need.

How do you know the emmc bug is fixed in this ICS version?

Installed this. eMMC Chip Revision 0x19! In otherwise, still bad according to bug checker. Is it possible the checking app is, excuse the pan, Bugged?

AFAIK, there is nothing new in this ROM kernel, as this ROM appeared OTA today, otherwise it was released more than wk ago.
waiting for responce from OP regarding his statement, otherwise should be reported to Mod, as it may misguide and more bricking will follows.

To All in this thread, to date....... there is no known stable fix for the emmc bug Yet........ Chainfire, Original_Gangaman, Reinbeau,Myself (oka1) and other Elite Developers Will SOUND THE TRUMPETS !! once a correct fix is out.
Until then, Be wary of anyone who states otherwise.....

Facebook page of samsung pakistan stated this and i am searching that post. But they replaced it and are busy boosting about their siii. I called the samsung distribution and they said they will email me and after verification. Well this is a non-wipe version and after upgrading i had my usual GB stuff restored and optimized for ics.

there is a new firmware up at http://samsung-updates.com/device/?id=GT-I9505 its version is I9505ZHUAME3 the build date is 14.05.2013 and the changelog is 626292. Did anyone tried it? the changelog for I9505XXUAME2 was 526204 so i am expecting some fixes Did someone already tried it?

just expect fixes samsung won't change anything until 4.3 maybe

I only expect fixes But there is some issue what needs fixing. The purple smear and some unexplainable lagging etc i do not want or expect a dramatic UI overhaul

No, but usually after Hong kong releases, shortly they will roll out the updates for the rest of the countries.
I'm waiting for unbranded UK BTU release.

Ya im waiting for the same. I got a phone off meteor but i'm still on mdm stock firmware.

I'm downloading now... something has to be better than nothing!

I flashed the AME2 version (Octa) and found it to be, well Chinese. Finding my way to switching to English took a few. Then I went to open up the Play store so I could download Ti and reinstall my apps and it turned out there was no play store. Downloaded the apk which I surprisingly found at Google and installed it but it wouldn't open. Tried deleting the cache and data but that didn't work. Then I though maybe if I go ahead and connect to my google account it might work. That was when I discovered there is no provision to connect to a google account at all. lol Going back to Wanam for now. I will say that this version is the smoothest of the stock roms I have tried and the first one that does not have lag in the launcher when simiply switching screens. I am hopeful that when this one hits in a few days it may make some people happy.

someone else had posted something similar also for the T280 in the development thread (one of those either by jedid or ashyx). It turned out be a 5.0.1 (for some reason was incorrectly listed as 6.0.1) Not sure if this is the real thing or the same incorrect listing

I got a bug fix and security patch (Jan '17) update a few days ago, still lollipop though. I doubt we'll get marshmallow, we would've got it by now if they were going to give it to us, I don't mind too much because it pretty much caters for my needs as it is. Don't pin your hopes on a custom ROM either, this doesn't seem like much of a popular device, at least the model running a spreadtrum processor anyway.

i found a stock 8.0 rom for SM-A320Y variant, my question is :
1. its still not released for indonesia , can i flash newest rom ( released for columbia & unknown country ) on my indonesian version.
2. is it fine to flash a rom that came from different PDA & CSC number? (actually i'm not using samsung stock apps too)
appreciate for any answers
