64GB preorder - Galaxy Note II General

is there anyone reputable offering a 64gb pre order?

Expansys in Portugal is accepting pre-orders for 16, 32 and 64gb

Yes, but there is no available price for any version.

Is the 64 GB a release model, or is it like the 64 GB version of the S3 where it'll just come out sometime in the future.

why does it says edit/delete when there is no option to delete your post? -_-

I guess there will be a price difference between the 16gb, 32gb and 64gb. Since there is a micro sd slot, what would justify getting a 64gb as opposed to a 16 gb and just load up on the microsd card (guess it would work with a 64gb micro sd).

Bump to ask this again.

I think it's a future model. for obviously money making business reasons heh

will apps be able to install on SD card? that is my main concern. 32gb or 64gb will be the way to go...

64gig microsd card

will the htc see a 64 gig micro sd card ?
32GB is the largest Microsdhc card that is *technically* possible. That's the end of the Microsdhc development. To get higher capacities you need to go to SDXC ... see ... http://www.sdcard.org/developers/tech/sdxc ...
No way will HTC upgrade "existing" phones to allow you to use the nes format. It'll be new phone time.

128gig microSD card is coming out this year 2011 physorg.com/news143893844.html
BUT will the HTC DHD see 128gig?
I don't see that happening,, if anything my guess is 64GB will be supported

no only 32gb
32gb should be more than enough for most people anyway.

NO! That is a press article from 2008! And it's complete bull, though the author may well have believed it at the time. A microsdhc card CANNOT be more than 32GB. See ... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MicroSD ...
"... microSD cards are currently available in capacities from 64 MB to 2 GB, while microSDHC cards are currently available in capacities from 256MB to 32 GB. This is the largest microSD card yet, and the limit of the microSDHC technology as well. microSD cards with larger capacities will be in microSDXC format.
[My emphasis].
As I said, existing phones will NOT be able to take the new cards (that is purely my opinion. Though why would a manufacturer make an existing phone work with new technology when a) the phone is obsolete anyway and b) he wants to sell you a new phone!).
As for 32GB being enough. Well I have about 6GB left on mine and I still have plans .......

LENOVO IDEATAB LYNX K3011: Can i install 64 GB microSD?

I have bought this tablet. In spec it writes microsd up to 32 gb. I want to install maximum storage. If i install 64 gb will it see it or not? Thanks,..
All the documents I have seen state it to be an SDXC slot which means it should read upto 2 terabyte cards if such things existed.
If it is however just an SDHC slot (which I doubt but then I have seen weirder things happen) it may either not read the card at all or read just 16gb of it, depends on what drivers and hardware are in use.
If it supports 32GB, it'll take more as well, I'm sure. My phone said it would only support up to 32 but took a 64GB card quite happily. My guess is just that at the time the spec sheet was written, 32GB was the best available. Stupidly short-sighted to write it that way, though; as 6677 points out, the SDXC spec allows for truly massive cards.
Thanks both.. I also believed the same but needed some verification..

I just bought this tablet and have the same question. Did you ever try installing a 64GB MicroSDXC card?

[Q] 128 GB micro SD

Does anyone know if the new SanDisk 128 GB micro SD will work on the Note 3?

Not true at all, it can and will read the 128gb microsd. But it can also read up to 2 TB hdd via otg cable. I also have a microsd to Sdcard tf cable that reads my 256gb sdcard.
Check out amazon for a huge discount on that 128gb microsd @119.99!!

My answer was based on what samsung said on note's 3 launch, we will see when this card will be launched

On my note 1, when the 64Gb sd cards were just launched, Samsung said too that only 32Gb ones works on this device.
My 64Gb sdcard always worked fine...

Technically, due to xc specifications, we should be able to use an sd card up to 2 TB... If they made them that big...

You were just misinformed companies want you to think there's a limit but when your on a site like xda there's no fooling us lol, even though at that time 64 gb microsd was the biggest external microsd option there were ways to get around the limit via regular sdcards. I have a 256gb sdcard I use on my note 3 from a tf cable that uses the microsd card slot on the note 3 so I can insert my sdcard and store massive amounts of data on it. I'm planning on buying the 128gb microsd also tho just to support sandisk and Thank them for finally making this happen, we're sure to see 128gb internal phones in the near future now.

C'mon, this is very simple, until couple days ago the largest micro sd card was 64GB and that's how far they could test it and that's what they wrote in the specs. If the 128GB card follows the specs, it has to work, but I do remember in the past some cards didn't work with all devices and I have no idea why, something about particular controller being not compatible, so it would be foolish for Samsung to post specifications which can't be tested. I had same thing with my old camera, specs listed 32 GB max, largest size at the time of release but it worked with 64GB fine when those came out. So when do we get 256GB, 128GB seems so yesterday.

Almost certainly it will work. However the manufacturer suggested price (200$) is just "marketing" similar to what is routinely done on overpriced jewelry, the initial launch price seems to be closer to 120$ and I would be quite surprised if the price will not get towards 70-80 US$ once the competition really heats-up.
Amazon has it for $119 but it is out of stock.
No idea when they will actually have it.
It's been over 1 year so it's probably time to confirm that the SanDisk 128GB Ultra Micro SDXC Class 10 UHS-1 card works flawlessly on a Samsung Note 3 SM-N900T (running either KItKat or Lollipop). For best performance it doesn't hurt to adjust the read-ahead cache higher than the default 128K (I use 1024K).
Beware of the many "fakes" found online. As of this writing, anything under $50 is probably not a genuine 128GB card, but you can find legitimate ones for as little as $65 if you search around.

S5 16gb or 32gb

does anyone have a problem with the s5 with only 16gb ? I want to get s5 but I been waiting to see if they come out with a 32gb.

I have a lot of apps on my S4 now and it is 32gb with 64gb SD card. On my S3 I have 16gb and I didn't like the message you are running out of space.

Mine S5 (SM-G900S) has 32 gb.
I haven't had to compromise and am happy with 16GB and my 64GB external.

Any reason to buy the 64gb model?

I know sd cards are slower than internal RAM, but anything above 20GB or so is probably going to be media files anyway, so is there any real advantage to having 64gb onboard RAM instead of just getting the 32gb version and adding an sdcard?

I did. I think for the value and resale its worth it. I have a 64gb card, but things are just more snappy with onboard memory.

You won't run out of internal space for apps and their databases.
If you are spending $450, go the extra and get 64GB. YMMV.
It's not about the money. Amazon has 32gb models in stock right now but Moto is telling me I can't get a 64gb model until Oct. 2. If the ONLY difference is RAM capacity I may pull the trigger on the Amazon model.

32GB and 64GB models have the same amount of RAM, I don't know what you're blabbing about. You probably mean onboard storage and yes the only difference is more onboard storage, nothing more.
Got the 16gb with a 128gb scandisk card. When M gets released and we able to use the micro card without root to use the micro card as storage for apps,.... Awesome!

Do you plan on taking 4k video? Yes or no, there's your answer.
With this phone being unlocked, we could very well see dual booting. Roms will run better on internal memory.
And videos. My kids are 2 and 4 so we take a lot of videos.
And downloads in general (roms, etc). Most everything goes to internal storage.

This is exactly what I did I got the 128gb (SanDisk Ultra 128GB Ultra Micro SDXC UHS-I) from amazon and the 16gb from moto maker. I have the card, but not the phone yet .

Seems like it's a personal choice. If you want to 'get it now' go with the 32GB from Amazon. If you can wait (and want to) then it's another matter. I normally wait to see and don't jump at the first opportunity but to each their own.
Been taking 4K videos straight to my scandisk ultra plus card. No problem whatsoever.
