While looking at deals on eBay, found this. & to my surprise it is not even refurbished. It's an openbox although but that's as I think much better then refurbished and more more closer to brand new. It's also makes ad new on eBay. Check it out

Galaxy nexus gsm for $575+shipping!!

Expansys eBay store has the galaxy nexus for $575 + like $5 shipping... The only catch is its a open box item.. This is my first time opening a thread, Can I post the link or no?
Edit: I see other threads that post links so:
http://stores.ebay.com/eXpansys-USA-Store
I really want in on this but I'm hesitant knowing that it could be one of the ones somebody returned because of excessive banding, or other screen issues. Manufacturers and retailers usually don't consider that a problem and send them back out.

I bought mine from one of those deal sites for $565 shipped. Came in all original packaging. The only problem was the package seal was broken. I think reseller opened it to test the phone before shipment since it's an international phone. Other than that it's perfect!
Unfortunately he doesn't ship international
I also got my Galaxy Nexus from an open box deal via their eBay store and when I got it I couldn't figure out why it was returned. It was in absolute mint condition, couldn't tell it had ever been used. Accessories were still sealed even.

Newegg Note 2

Just taking a poll for people who have bought their Note 2 from Newegg.
Does the Note 2 look brand new when it arrived?
Any issues with the phone?
Do you know which country the phone was made for?
Thanks
I ordered one. It just went on sale at that price yesterday. I doubt they have been delivered yet.
Got my white one from Newegg two weeks ago. Was brand new and the box had three seals on it. Has a North American charger. No issues with the phone. I think it was for South America? The menu was initially in Spanish. Loving it. It's a steal at $589 currently!
I got one from newegg.ca. It arrived in Vancouver after about 4 days.
It is the international N7100 version. No LTE, but it does have HSPA+. ALJ3 build.
The packaging was new, sealed, and everything looked unopened. I know the real sleezy dealers have ways of sealing the box back up, but I'm pretty sure my model was brand new. Newegg is usually pretty good, and I don't think they would open the box without a reason. I think this model comes from the factory unlocked, so there is no need for newegg to open it to unlock it. These phones are probably too new to worry about getting a refurbished unit.
I wouldn't worry about it. Even though they are now available in Canada, I still would rather have the N7100 as I hear it is faster than the LTE version.

Ordered one yesterday and newegg didn't make the delivery time today. Should of just picked it up instead
NewEgg has always been good for me. I would have preferred to order from them instead of the EBay seller last week. Not talking bad about that Ebay seller, he did a great job and shipped out the same day I bought. That's better then me when I sell on Ebay! Not to mention some how I got around paying tax on it. I just ran across a few dead beat sellers on Ebay in the past. i trust NewEgg better then Ebay, 1Dealaday, IceMonkey and TigerDirect.
Ordered mine last night...
should be here tuesday of next week...will report my findings upon receipt...
can it really be that many refurb'd devices out there, if any, so close to the release date...???
Who said anything about refurbs? They are brand new.

As did I and I posted a response. The OP asked if they look new. Is that supposed to mean "are they refurbished units?". News to me but whatever.

well newegg is a site that's known to sell new and refurb'd smartphones, so asking if the phone "looks new" prompted what would, to me, be an obvious alternative to "looking new"...if someone answered stating that the phone did NOT look new, then it would either be used or refurb...also 2 + 2 = 4
it's called "context clues'"...and you are not so bright...
i bid you peace...
Ordered mine today, just to good of a deal at $589 shipped. The site says 'new'. I have always found Newegg to be a reliable seller, I am pretty sure it is new in box. :good:
Some of the shady on-line retail sites will take referb phones and ship them as new, for full price.
This is not usually a practice newegg is involved with.
I think, reading between the lines, that is part of what the OP was asking. Maybe not, but it's good to put it out there anyway. It is a legitimate concern.
I received mine yesterday. Its brand new. Now I'm off to read more posts about rooting.
Ordered mine about a week ago, brand new

Newegg is not shady, they have disclaimer stating that some phones might have to be unboxed to unlock since they are are carrier locked. Note 2 doesn't have disclaimer so it should be new sealed box. I just ordered mine today at $589.99.

Just got my Note II in today from Newegg (my 1st purchase from them)...I actually called in today just to have time to play with it
1. Firstly, This is definitely a new device. Mine was still sealed in the Samsung box with the tamper proof patches on it.
2. No issues so far.
3. America.
4. GO VOTE SUCKAS...!!! :good::victory:
Just received my GN2 from Newegg.
The box still had the Samsung seals on it, and a US charger was included as well. Phone itself was brand new.
The default language was English (UK) so make of that what you will.

I actually got this disclaimer when I ordered mine. I thought it was a little strange and made me second guess my order, since the international version is supposed to ship unlocked from the factory. Newegg should not have to open it.
As mentioned, it turned out to be brand new and sealed when it arrived.
As a side note, it should be noted that the N7100 (which is the one newegg carries) is non-LTE. If you want LTE, get one from your carrier or wait until newegg carries the 7105.
Got mine yesterday...brand new in the box...:good:

Note wifi 32Gb price in US. Where to get the cheapest.

Even after a few months since release note does not seem to have dropped in pricing.. Which i guess is good and bad...
The cheapest one is from amazon is around 550usd..
Most of the online retailers come close to 600usd ( final price including tax)..
Any suggestion for a better pricing for 32gb model ???

Just got my galaxy note 10.1 from Amazon Warehouse Deals. Used - Like New condition. Box was a bit ugly, but note itself was still in original plastic wrappings. Saved about $80 off list price.

I took the same route with the Amazon Warehouse deal. The box looked worn but the tablet inside was either new or never had the plastic taken off of it (oh so much plastic). I bought the 16gb model for $422 (I missed the $450 sale price on a new one by one day).

Buying LG G2 From China?

I'm thinking of buying a brand new LG G2 32GB from China for £205 (£250 if it gets Tax), I was wondering as long as the model is D802 it will work in the UK fine is that correct?
Also has anyone here purchased the phone from China and have you had any issues be it with LTE/4G. From what I understand as long as its the D802 International version it will work fine in the UK.
Me here

I bought two G2s of 32 Gb from a site that was bringing products from China (valuebasket.com) Everything works great. Even the 4G. If the seller is serious go for it. D802 is working everywhere there's SIM and not CDMA possible.
I think I'm going to purchase this as soon as the Nexus 6 gets revealed, I can't see the Nexus 6 matching this in specs, battery and most importantly cost.
I've been reading these forums and I've decided when I get one I will install the G3 ROM and then the LG G2 will be perrect.
Cheers @BigBadSheep

Thinking about going this route myself. Does anyone know what the warranty from LG might be since this is most likely not a supported seller?
Thanks

I didn't even think about warrenty. [emoji53]

Ah forget it, if I buy a used G2 it will cost more than a new G2 from China.
Also a used G2 on ebay from a UK seller will probs have no warrenty either or have very little left on it. So really thinking about it, the warrenty aspect is irrelevent for me.

Damn. You british people are having hard times. Here in Denmark I bought a 3 months old G2 32GB for 190 pounds, looking brand new with warranty, all the original accessories etc.
Buy one from here lol

Yeah typical British prices ... the Goverment here shaft the people from every direction. You work hard to earn money (no worries the goverment will tax that), you going on holiday (no worries the goverment will tax that), your buying a LG G2 (no worries the goverment will tax that lol), you've inheritted money (no worries the goverment will tax that), you buying petrol (no worries the goverment will tax that - I think you get the picture hahaha.
Anyways back on topic - Cheapest 2nd hand I have seen sold for was for about £230 no warrenty and was in good but not perfect condition. Better off just buying Brand new from China and potentially £20 cheaper or worse case £20 expensiver. Worth it if ya ask me haha.

Have a look on DigitalRev. They provide their own 1yr warranty and although I haven't needed to use it yet, the reviews elsewhere suggest they are pretty good when it comes to issues.
I just took delivery of a white 32gb model for £285 from them and am pleased with it so far. No import taxes or anything were applied...

I'm mainly thinking about cost tbh but yeah I could order from Sweden. The China deal is very good ... feel like just taking the risk with warrenty haha.

[Q] upgrade questions

I still have a droid Charge and am finally ready to upgrade. I've decided on the S5 based upon user recommendations and reviews. I tried to get one from Best Buy last week for $1 so I could keep my UDP. Best Buy had none to sell me in the black color. Now I'm stuck buying new phone or out right or getting a used one. What's the better option? and how do I protect myself against getting a bad phone? I once bought an ipod real cheep off ebay and had to put a hard drive in it.
Mike
If you go the used route, check swappa. They are by far the safest. Also, a couple days ago ebay was selling some S5s fairly cheap. Make sure the seller is reputable and is willing to give you what you ask (imei, pictures of everything, why they're selling it)
