I like paranoid android because of the ability to change the ui of individual apps without needing with ppi

I like Cyanogen Mod. You should maybe try it if it is on Jelly Bean/Nexus 7.

I installed glazed jellybean almost an hour after receiving the nexus 7. And, to be blunt. It is AWESOME. awesome is not enough credit for it. It has not crashed once on me, and the beats audio, xperia play engine, and more just make it worth while for me. It is overall, quicker than the stock.

thanks for the input ima try thing one out

Best Nexus 7 ROM With Tablet UI

What's the best ROM currently with tablet UI? I know it's a matter of opinion, but I still want to hear it.
Google Wallet should also work as well.

I'm curious about this as well. Been looking at Paranoid Android mainly.
Paranoid is the best way to go.

I am very happy about Paranoid
Definitely paranoid because some apps look really wonky with tablet ui at 720px, but with PA you can customize the layout of each individual app which is awesome.

Paranoid is amazing though I wish i could use other ROMs with paranoid features

Paranoid working fine for me. Like the per-app customization.
Stock works fine too.
IMUI has a really different and beautiful UI then all other ROM

MIUI is terrible for the Nexus 7. I love it on my S2 but too many phone features are still present in the Nexus 7 MIUI build. It feels half-done.
Paranoid Android is very slow but the UI customization is good.
I'm tempted to go back to stock though because it has been the smoothest and best battery performance rom for me.
PA 2.1 is good for me
Team Bamf
I'm using team bamf paradigm v2.2. Seems to work really well get really nice battery life out of it.
TeamEOS
The TeamEOS ROM works quite good for me.. I would recommend it to everyone!

The AOKP nightly ROM is pretty awesome.
Just ordered my Nexus 7 today, this have been sort of helpful...lol.
EOS has a dead simple Tablet UI option. Just check and forget. It uses the same DPI as stock so you dont have any comparability issues like other methods. I haven't had a single problem running in tablet mode regarding apps and games. PA gets good rep too but EOS simply just works so good I can't come off of it.
Battery is also simply amazing. I unplug at 8 when I go to work and will still be at 100% when I get home if I dont use it. I unplugged the N7 like 20 minutes ago and on XDA and still at 100%. Absolutely no complaints.

Game performance stock ROM vs CM10

Thinking of switching from stock to CM9, has anyone noticed a difference in game performance?
Sent from my Nexus 7
There are issues with cm10 I get glitches on certain games. Once I switched to aosp which is almost stock it went away.

Miui jellybean is the best rom i use so far

I said it because this rom has no problem with media scanner. I can view all my media files easily without having to wipe usb storage or to delete .nomedia or what so ever. It currently my daily use rom. Im happy playing with it event it lacks in mode.

dont know what your having problems with... probably flashed at least 8 different JB roms... never had media problems.
Honestly cant stand miui, tons of engrish and straight up asian characters EVERYWHERE.
Maybe u are a lucky guy who hv a lucky nexus s. Im having this media problem from the 1st jb rom i flashed. Miui.us is the first jb rom that i fully satisfied because there is no problem with media. It doesnt mean that i dislike the other roms. But yeah. I love rom that can play music and smooth .

used to like it, got bored with the damn iphone'ish look
No way...miui ics was much better...

I've flashed nearly every jb Rom available for my ns4g, with the exception of miui. I've never liked the look of miui. I've never had a problem with media files, but have seen and helped correct several issues that resulted from the rom manager app update that put the files where they didn't belong...

It means he's a racist
when i use chomp sms , sometimes get force close
Everything is actually noticeably faster for me including the web browser. The default music player it has is pretty awesome too. Task bar is good. The only problem I have so far is the default web browser is having trouble with JW player. Every time I try to play a clip it goes to a 403 forbidden error. Other than that, it's a lot snappier than the ICS rom I had before (also MIUI, Oodie Prime).

[Q] About ParanoidAndroid's Tablet UI

Hi, I'm using ParanoidAndroid's Latest build which is 2.99 beta 5 and running trinity kernel @1.4ghz when I choose tablet UI on ParanoidAndroid's settings, it goes to tablet UI but the app doesn't. For example is the youtube app which supposed to be look like a 3d'ish kind of look as it was in tablets but it's still look like a Phablet UI. Is it possible to gain True Tablet UI on this particular build? Thank you in advance! and Am I able to run Jays buttery goodness on this one? How? Thanks again!

The latest build is beta 9.5,but you should be able to force the right ui in apps settings in pa preferences.

The new YouTube doesn't have the same old layout since they removed tablet ui from 4.2. You can find a link for the old help you tube in the PA thread in the development section I believe.

[Q] Lag, lag, lag...

I love that there's a great selection of ROMs for the Find 5. My problem is that they all run really smooth at first but then start to lag badly after installing apps. I barely modify any of the launcher settings. I've experienced this with every ROM I have flashed. I am using TWRP and always reset to factory settings and wipe the system before installing a ROM and I still experience lag. Am I doing anything wrong or any ideas on what to do to get rid of the lag?
You getting lag on stock also? I haven't noticed any real lag anywhere :-/
Sent from my X909 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
When I was on stock I would get a little lag, and the UI in general would be choppy, some frame drops. Its worse when I flashed any of the ROMs. At first its smooth, then it starts to slow down.

Stock firmware.. Either the betas or "official" releases.
Sent from my X909 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
On both Official and Beta firmware, I get the same experience. CM 10.1 has been the best for me so far bit it still lags quite a bit. I see people post that some custom ROMs are as smooth as a stock Nexus 4 but I can't get close to that at all with any of them. I have a Nexus 4 and its buttery smooth. I just wish I can get my Find 5 to be as smooth....then I'd be extremely happy.

Well if you think about it. It's never going to be as quick as the nexus 4
Oppo find 5 = Qualcomm s4
resolution = 1080 full hd
Nexus 4 = Qualcomm s4
resolution = 720 hd
The processor is getting pushed a lot harder.
I've been on firmware 5/14 and 2 days lag free....
