Check for bent battery pins, try powering through an external AC to DC converter hooked up to batter terminals in the correct order if you can to confirm whether it's the battery or not. Additionally make sure your battery is well charged.
Very less likely that your phone is bricked/dead because of trying to install a modded market.
For sake of this forum, post in the correct section next time. They're made for a reason. Thread reported.

I think you use the MAGLDR way to install the rom,if it is ,congratuations,it can't charge the battery when the power off.So you have to utility-charger to charge your battery ,not the phone charger

To test if battery flat.......
If you have a spare USB cable (mini, micro, doesn't matter) chop small end off, bare red and black, hold red to + black to - on battery, plug USB into wall charger, hold for about 60-90 seconds,, should be enough charge to start the phone.

I had the same thing, it could be that you bent the battery pins, try to see if they are a bit up, they should be 100% horizontal if you put your phone on the screen, if they are pointing a bit up, try to bend them back down.

Hi panossd
You can try to let your phone connect to charger. If your batterie level is very low, it need time to be charged enouf to start the phone. After that, when it's enouf charged, if you use Magldr, your phone will start alone. Then press on power key to stop at Magldr menu. Stay like this some hours, the batterie will charge slowly.
Hope this help

Haha sorry for the continued off-topic but you seem to think that mods literally go through every thread reading every post, and once they see a post saying 'move this thread' they move it. If you see a thread in the wrong section, first report it, then answer their question if you can, and add somewhere in your post that the thread is in the wrong forum. If you have nothing to contribute, then just report it and move on. Oh and btw I see the irony in this post but meh, don't really care.

SORRY IF IT'S NOOB/Or has been asked

Ok so i'm new to this whole Android thing and gotta give MEGA props to Origins81 and Amon_Ra who took time outta their days to help me when I was in panic mode (trust me things were thrown lol).Ok so Already bricked one Magic got my replacement (followed Origins81 and Amon_Ra's amazing step by steps) from rogers flashed the Myhero 1.1.1 rom and now i got one last question. How do you stop the phone from charging when connected to the computer. When i was with the htc diamond you could select not to charge when connected, but I just cant figure it out for this device...Doesnt the constant charging mess with the battery? I mean I got two coming in that I ordered from ebay but that aint the point..Again sorry if this has been asked or if it's real "Noob" of me..
There is no way to stop it that I know of and dont post threads with the topic, "SORRY IF IT'S NOOB/Or has been asked" because it gives away how noob you really are and doesnt actually help anyone answer your question. Imagine if every question had a topic like that.....

This is definetly not the right forum.
Really? Are you serious?
You can charge while the phone is of, this is not your problem.
Just charge if its dead and reflash whatever you were flashing in magldr/clockwork.
If there is no way to charge the battery in phone you could try to buy a dockingstation with the option to charge an additional battery.
Wrong forum

hey! The guy is right! HD2 won't charge when it's completely discharged if MAGLDR is installed on it!! I was very-very surprised with this thing. Try Install MAGLDR, turn your HD2 off and connect charger. It won't charge, it won't turn on, even when you disconnect your charger the light will lit until you remove battery.
Is it just me and the author or everyone?
The bootloader hint is useful, but what to do if HD2 is completely discharged and doesn't want to turn on?

If everything else fails I would remove the batt, reinsert the batt with charger on and press volume down and power key and flash a winmo rom. in other words I would start from scratch with winmo phone.......

Attach the data cable to your comp and device and see what happens. I also do know that when the battery is fully discharged it takes some minutes on the charger before the battery can build enough charge to boot. Or maybe try flashing a winmo rom from the bootloader? I would try that and if winmo is installed wait for battery to charge to 100% and then install Magdlr and android nand afresh. All the best......

[Q] Notification Volume

Leo1024 is my device. I'm using HardSPL with 2.15.50.04 radio. MAGLDR 1.12. Leo70 WP7 build.
No matter what I set my volume to for ringing, notifications, alarm, it's always max. The only time volume is not max is when I set it to vibrate. Is there any fix for this?
I know people were having Wi-Fi issues with certain SD cards, but I was not. I have my WP7 fully activated with my activation code from MS.
Yeah this seems to be some sort of bug in the build... i've found that setting the volume at 3 - is perfect, though using headphones for music you'll have to turn it right up again....
There's also a registry tweak elsewhere on the forum that apparantly fix's it but it doesn't fix it properly, seems to set the lower volume to come in a little higher, around 10-13 ish....but above that doesnt scale again - is just max volume...
Cheers
Paul

i'm not the one who posted this but... This is a problem that needs a fix 'developing' - it isn't a question with a simple answer, it is a bug, so why is it in the wrong place?
You guys need to lighten up a bit, step down from that high horse & take off the forum police hat, it says member under your name not Moderator - if it was as simple as answering a Q with an A - then why didn't you just do that??
I have my volume set to 2 and vibrate when I go to sleep with it on the charger, which means I can't use the alarm and bug my wife to set the alarm on her phone.
@KrewsialNL- think outside the box dude. As @paulrgod said, it's more than a simple Q&A, especially since you had no answer for it.
Know what.. i'll just stop commenting at all..
The bug was already reported to DFT and Cotulla, also were there other threads available in regards to this.
Enjoy and good luck to you all..

Mate - i didn't mean to upset.
Please dont stop commenting - im sure you dont have 41 thanks for nothing?
It's just that there are a lot of new people on XDA recently - people who don't live on here like some of us
The search is a useful tool - but you have to know what your searching for in the first place - often needing to know the correct word or phrase. I myself have spent ages searching for something, to find nothing, make a post and then be linked to a relevent thread..
It probably takes less effort just to answer a question than to post a sarcastic remark, insult someone's intelligence (Q and A - meaning Questions and Answers!) and report a thread... I just don't see the point?
This is the most helpful community, but also one of the least respectful... a new member posts a question in the wrong place and he gets jumped on and a thread reported... come on, it's only a forum? Isn't it? Not like the guy commited a crime?
Cheers
Paul
I guess I could have said it a bit differently.
If you've been active in other forums then just this new one, you get annoyed by incorrect placed topics and mostly by topics that are posted numorous times.
I guess my bad start today at work (yeah, i'm spending most of my working days on XDA ) got the best of me, and I took it out here. So I will honestly say I might have reacted a bit harsh.
So, the answer? It has been reported as a bug already to the developers of the first WP7 Rom for our HD2 phones, and all we can do is wait.
There are some threads mentioning a registry hack, though I haven't found this very functional, as this doesn't work all the time.
Sorry guys, I'll try to throw my bad mood towards the people that work for me instead of all of you
I actually had removed WP7 from my HD2. I did search the known bugs thread prior to posting this and hadn't seen it listed. I'll stick to having android on my HD2. I love WP7, and it was fun to try out while waiting to purchase an HD7, but can't use something that buggy yet.

problems doing a factory reset after magldr installed

I took on the project to install wp7 and dual boot android. Installing magldr and wp7 went without any problems but I made the mistake of switching out the sd cards. Now it goes to the sd card not working screen and gives me the option to turn off. I performed a hard reset holding the up and down along with power. The reset took less than a second before it said it was complete and still boots to the sd card not working screen. I would like to do a hard reset through magldr but am not sure how because it just boots to the 123456 go go go screen and boots into wp7. Any insight would be great. I have been searching but have not been able to come up with anything. Thanks

Flash original WP6.5 Rom from the HTC website, by Switching the phone off, when it off hold the vol down button + power button.
You will see the tri color screen (bootloader) and from there plug in USB and flash 6.5 rom or use SD card method (format sd to FAT32 and rename to leoimg.nbh).

hey thanks for the good info douch bag. why dont you go jump off a bridge. Sometimes people make mistakes and post in the wrong forum. People like you are useless to the community and worse than a noob trying to get everything figured out.
Don't know if it can help but just after first splash screen you can do the same as for wm6.5 ie VOL- for flash and VOL-/VOL+ at the same time to have a menu checksum/factory reset but this time it will be for WP7 using spl provided by magldr.
happened to me before, I had an sd card I was playing with. Partitioning it for android and so. But then I headed off for my work, took my phone and totally forgot my sd card was still in the pc, lol.
So i thought, just buy a replacement sd card real quick, but wp7 said that the sd card was not compatible. It was a sandisk, so I bought another one, wich also gave the same message. So I couldn't use my phone that day.
In the end, when I came home, i reinserted the sd card i left in my pc and voila, it worked and all the data, games, music and other stuff were still there.
So, just insert your old sd card in it and then boot into wp7 again and do a reset.
i got it figured out. I just needed to get to the magldr boot options by holding down the power button until it showed up. I just reflashed and it is all good now. Thanks for the help

Your problem was, that you didnt know how to get into MAGLR menu. That is something, which could be easily found. And because you are lazy, you broke several forum rules by starting this thread.

This is supposed to be development forum for DEVELOPERS. I remember, when years ago it was. People was discussing development. Now it turned out to be chaos with thousands of totally pointles posts, repeated questions from lazy people who are not able to search and read and totally pointless threads like this one.
Developers are leaving, noobs are multiplying. Owners of this forum are aware of this and trying to fight this problem, but it seems, that they are loosing the battle.
Its very hard to find anything within all the thanks, pointless debates and questions from people who think that this is technical support. You just made it worse a little. Just because you were unable to find out fow to get into MAGLR menu, which is really totally basic task. How would you describe yourself if not a noob?
Call me a douchebag if you want, it will not make you any better.

you don't like it, then just don't respond to this thread anymore. go whine at a moderator and make him force close this thread if that is what you really want.
I have never believed developers ran away, just because of the noobs, but more because of some rivalty. Besides, fresh new developers are here, like yukixda.
You should apply for a moderator function and ban all of the people you dislike. period.

lol, dont exaggerate, Its more like have a ***** fit, a wank and then slit your wrists
I dont think I even need to explain why i'm closing this thread lol.
Mark.

I'm confused. BajaRom?

Ok, it was late and I have a bad habit of rushing through these things so I can see the end result, sometimes resulting in bricked phones. But I rooted my phone the other night and installed baja rom. And even posted about a problem I had with a bootloop and got a quick response on how to fix it. This was on my laptop at home. Now I'm at work on a different computer, clicked my shortcut to XDA's Note 3 section to ask another troubleshooting question, and can't find the bajarom thread. Am I in the wrong section and overlooking something or what?

This should probably be in the help section. But are you in the Verizon note 3 section?

And the title of it now says the alliance rom is coming soon

Negative on being in the wrong area. Bajarom will be replaced with alliance(currently locked). Keep an eye out for it to be released eventually(hopefully towards the end of the week). Maybe someone can help you here with Baja but as of now, baja16.1 is the latest and last release.

Oh I see it now. Maybe the devs could put something about bajarom back in the title? That's confusing to noobs.
I was wondering about battery life. Granted, I've been tinkering a lot with the new rom, but my battery is horrible. Just in the last few hours, after charging all night, I'm down to 50 percent.
Also, the fast dormancy toggle and media battery drain fix buttons both come up with errors. I don't even know what the fast dormancy is so no biggie, but the battery drain seems applicable to me so I'm wondering if I need to look into fixing that?

Agreed. It's all cool about the new rom coming to (hopefully) dazzle the masses. In the meantime, however, I think BajaROM and it's support thread should've remained active. I'm having quirky issues with it and have no where to go for the kind of support the original thread offered.
The best thing now is to post any problems here. Things got a little heated as there's big anticipation for the Alliance rom but it's not ready yet. It was starting to become an ETA flame war so to keep things under control it's locked until the Alliance rom is ready. Trust me I've seen how out of control things can get on here. I'm not a dev or recognized contributor but I check the Question & Answer threads and help when I can.

I am thinking this thread is going to get locked any second most likely. But if it gets moved over to Q&A I will gladly assist with any questions. By the way, the latest BajaROM is still up on AFH for those who want it.
Cheers,
Baja

Not sure how this thing stayed in development for so long. I moved it to Q&A three hours ago, lol.
Should be moved now, and thank you for helping the community by providing answers where needed.

did you install after a wipe? I tired many different roms and baja had the best battery life for me compared to others.

Hi Im wondering if its the kernel. Im on baja and I think the battery is better but other stuff osnt working like wanam, gravitybox… dalvik and cashe didnt fix it but but the touch response is faster besides the battery. Do you know how to flash or install just the kernel to another rom? I think im going back to the stock rom
Yes I wiped before installing baja. I've started another thread with a title better depicting my problem to avoid confusion. If you have suggestions, could you post it there so others could find it as well. Thanks for the help and interest in the matter! I would post a link to the other thread but I don't know how to do that. Its here in the Q&A section, titled for bad battery life on bajarom
