THB Car Talk DSP no navigation sound

Hello there,
after installing a THB Burry Car Talk DSP including the Kaiser cradle i got the following problem:
The blackbox is directly connected to my car stereo (Blaupunkt) with Phone-In connector (therefore sound is directly played back by using the car speakers) and mute signal. Using this kit for phone calls works perfectly: radio is muted and i can make clear conversations
But: no other sound of the Kaiser, like navigation voice of TomTom or music played back by the mediaplayer is heard through the car speakers nor the internal speaker of the Kaiser.
I also tried using an external speaker connected to the black box but this didn´t help. It seems that the car kit only works when the Kaiser initializes the mute signal.
Someone got the same problem and has a clue what to do?

Help! Bluetooth never connects A2DP Stereo automatically !!

Hi! This issue has plagued me ever since i am using windows mobile. I own a TOUCH HD (though i think this issue is also with other windows mobiles) and a A2DP Stereo bluetooth headset from Sony.

Now here's the problem. When I pair the phone with the Headset, it pairs the 2 services HANDSFREE & WIRELESS STEREO. Then i can listen to music via the headset.
When i turn the headset off and then back on again, it switches on the HANDSFREE ONLY !! And i have to go thru the following process to turn on the WIRELESS STEREO again:
1. on phone, click on Bluetooth Devices
2. select the headset device to view the 2 services (handsfree and wirless stereo). Both are selected. Deselect the Wireless Stereo service.
3. SAVE
4. on phone, click on Bluetooth Devices
5. select the headset device to view the 2 services (handsfree and wirless stereo). Re-select the Wireless Stereo service.
6. SAVE
Then it works again and i can listen to my music again.
Its a very annoying process and I wish someone could help me to explain if there is a faster way? Does everyone also have to go thru this process or am i doing something wrong?
Does there exist a program that can automate this process or any other solution?

I have a same problem with my car audio, but when i install this BT program in lower post they connect me only to handsfreee, and when i go to play music they disconnected my car BT audio.

Just for you interest - this does NOT make A2DP work.

Pair your stereo headset and select the Heaset and Wireless Stereo profiles, this will work from start.
Next time you turn on your stereo headset it will only connect as standard headset (ie mono for phone calls)....
Just press the play/pause button on your headset and it will auto connect to A2DP stereo also.

I have tried that, and do it on my laptop (another set and stereo profile only), it may be dependent on the headset you are using.

I installed teksoft A2DP Toggle 1.1 this morning http://teksoftco.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1885 and added it to the program button in TouchFlo, not the today screen. it seems to work fine if you press the button twice, better than 7 clicks. (My HD info in the signature, Telstra TouchFlo replaced by Standard HD)

If pushing the Play/Pause does not connect a previously paired BT Stereo Headset to your HD then it is not a true A2DP profile headset.
See if you can get your hands on a pair of folding Sony DR-BT22 headphones.
True A2DP with built in mike to answer incoming calls. Bass is very good and full funtion with the HD.
Highly recommended.

You guys are correct, the smaller headsets that try to share the Play/Answer/end button are probably the issue.
I have been using A2Dp Toggle 1.1 as mentioned and link above and it works great, no loss of sound noticed.
We should start an XDA (not just HTC) WiKi to list headsets that connect or not for WM5 and WM6.

HD Compatible Headphone
I have a Sony DR-BT50 headphone that works beautifully. The sound is brilliant for Music and particuarly movies that I have transferred from DVD to the HD with MP4HT4HD!
I never thought that i would watch a movie on a screen so small but the clarity is something else and the high audio signal with the bluetooth headphones make it a pleasure! Great for long layovers at airports etc.

Any in-ear types that work?
All the sets that I have seen posted as working are the full headphone (over ear) types, and this may again be a shared button thing.
Does anyone have / know of an in-ear / earbud type that works / connects correctly

A2DP Toggle 1.1
I dowmloade that A2DP Toggle 1.1 on my phone. I use HTC TYTN1 running Windows Mobile 6 Professional and this software gives hell to say the least.
When I connect it to my headset, it works fine BUT it does not pay MP3s on my headset. It keeps on saying ERR on the icon of the head speakers (the second icon form bluetooth icon). I even asked most of the technician but no one knows anythings. If anyone knows what my probles is, please rescue me!!!
I might be doing something, please help me guys

Toggle works for me!
I had the same problem, the triangle powers prog didn't work for me. In fact the headset icon was on but no playback.
The toggle 1.1 works, none of the funcitons described on it's website are available, setup and various icons are from the home page but HTC Touch HD home page doesn't support that.
Never the less, putting Toggle in my program list and using it toggles easy between phone speaker and headset. Like someone has already said, two clicks and we're in business from starting my van to getting music from my phone on the stereo. I'm happy enough with that.
I have a Pioneer stereo with Parat built in, so I get BT audio and Hands free calls. All seems to be working perfectly now. Thanks to this thread.

How does MyTouch 4G deal with headphones with no mic and how to favour bluetooth?

I've been using the Car Dock Home v3 app launched from HTC's car dock when I'm driving. Yesterday I was also listening to some podcasts form the phone by connecting the headphone jack to my car's aux input. I had a bluetooth headset connected.
Then someone decided to call me and it was disastrous. The car mode causes the phone to read the incoming phone number and let you answer or decline by voice, which is neat, but instead of going through the car's speaker (headphone out) it goes through the built in speaker. I don't know why it would do this, but with the car noise it was impossible to hear it.
Then after answering the call, instead of going through the bluetooth headset, I heard the caller through the car's speakers (sounded great) but they couldn't hear me at all. I can switch to the bluetooth headset manually, but it's too dangerous to try and navigate the tiny buttons and text while driving. With another caller they could hear me, though.
So I can't figure out what the phone is doing when you have something plugged into the headphone jack but no wired mic. It seems like the phone's microphone is active, but not in speakerphone mode, so it's probably too quiet on the other end to clearly hear me unless I talk right into the mic, which I can't do while driving.
So questions:
1. Is there any way to increase the internal mic gain to use the phone connected to the car speakers as a true speakerphone (and can this be done without creating echo/feedback)?
2. Is there any way to have the phone automatically prioritize a connected bluetooth device over the headphone jack?
3. If the answers to 1. and 2. are no, is there any way to have a car mode specific dialer screen with nice big buttons for selecting audio source manually?
4. Can I get the car mode to read incoming call info into the headphone jack rather than the internal speaker?

Are you sure that works? I didn't try that, but I used my bluetooth headset to launch genius and dial a contact by voice. Everything worked through the bluetooth headset, but once the call connected, it switched to the car's speakers.

I'm pretty sure that the car mode initiates hands-free mode, which automatically turns on the phones internal speaker when a call comes in. See if there's a setting that prevents hands-free from turning on in the app. That might fix things the way you use them.

While the phone is ringing, activate the connection via BT. It works for me now, and it worked on the stock ROM. But you don't ned to take my word for it, just try it.

I'll give that I try when I get a chance. There is an option to automatically enable speakerphone in the car dock app, so maybe disabling that will also fix the problem. However, so long as the headphone jack isn't in use, it works exactly like I want it to:
If the bluetooth headset is connected, it gets used for answering and making calls. If the bluetooth headset is not connected, when answering or making calls the phone's spakerphone is automatically enabled.
The issue is that with the headphone jack in use, it seems to take precedence over both internal speakerphone and bluetooth headset.
My guess is that if the headphone jack is in use the phone assumes that you're using a wired headphone/headset with its own mic. If that were the case, the behaviour actually makes sense: if you've got a wired headset in your ears, that's where you'd want the audio to go. I suppose if there is no external mic but you're wearing headphones, using the internal mic without speakerphone gain also may make sense: you'd hear through the headphones and hold the mic near your mouth to talk. The problem is it ignores the case of external speakers versus headphones. Especially in car mode it should be smarter about how it deals with these options. Of course, some of the issue may be due to the third party dock app, so maybe I'll have to try with that disabled or contact the developer to see if he can do anything.
It's little usability issues like this that make me want to drop Android, although I have no idea if there's actually anything that really works better.

Training yourself to touch the earpiece instead of the phone to answer is not overly difficult. It only took me one or two "oops" experiences to stop touching the phone.

I use the phone and aux input all the time while driving, but the difference is that I don't have a bluetooth headset involved.
Audio comes out of the headphone jack and I speak into the phone's mic and it works fine. Turn the phone volume to max and use the headunit volume to adjust.

So I have had a chance to test it. It's true, if you use the bluetooth headset's button to answer a call it does get properly routed to the headset. If you answer by taping answer on the screen it gets routed the headphone/speaker + internal mic.
It does also seem like the internal mic is used correctly and pretty much sounds as good as the speaker phone mode, so answering a call while wearing headphones or using speakers doesn't seem like it should be a problem (assuming echo isn't an issue with speakers). Don't know why that one caller couldn't hear me, but that could be some other reason.
What doesn't work, though, is initiating a call from the bluetooth headset if the headphone jack is in use. Using the bluetooth headset button to initiate genius voice dialing works as expected until the call is connected, at which pint it then gets routed to the headphone/mic instead of the bluetooth headset. There doesn't seem to be any way around this. Of course, since you are initiating the call, it's probably not too bad to just unplug the headphone jack first...

Bluetooth Car Stereo

Finally got bluetooth in my car stereo and reviewed some threads prior to posting, but not sure anyone asked / answered the question I have. I'm basically wondering how people are using their bluetooth stereo's. From what I can tell so far I have 2 options.
1. Phone pairs, i listen to my car stereo and if a phone call comes in the stereo picks up the call if i say, and upon completion back to my car stereo
2. Phone pairs, put the car into BT Audio mode and stream audio from my phone including phone calls.
The problem is, i'm looking for a way to combine both. For example I'd like to be able to listen to my car stereo, and if i get a notification i hear it over the radio, not just phone calls. I haven't tried yet, but i'm guessing the nav will be the same way, if i'm listening to the stereo and running nav on my phone i will get no turn by turn like i would if i was listening to music on my phone and running nav.
Is there a way to do this? Am I missing something? I have the Sony Xplōd™ MEX-BT3900U. Is this a limitation of my stereo, or just not how most people use their bluetooth?

I just ordered a replacement radio as well with BT support. I'd be curious wth what other people have to say with experience as well.

I use this all the time.
Both options will work provided the head unit you bought supports media streaming.
Your phone will connect both phone and media over Bluetooth. You listen to your media and if a call comes in you can take it while the media is paused. Media will resume after call completed.
Notifications and navigation will pause and resume media as needed.

I've found the quality of the audio over bluetooth to be very degraded. Have a rear AUX 1/8th port and run a cable to mount, Then use BT headset for all if need be, but have Pandora playing Excision & Downlink radio the entire time

What i want to do is simple, but i have never found a way to do this. I had heard Google was working on the whole sound subsystem and may address in the future, but maybe someone knows of an app...
Basically, I would like to use BT media, but have Nav sound output from the phone. Otherwise if I switch to radio or some other music source on the radio - Nav is still piped to the car BT and i can't hear it.
I would like to just leave BT on all the time on the phone, and have BT handsfree always on, BT music when i select it on the radio (for an input) but NAV would always play through phone speakers.
Any ideas?
